This study aims to identify and describe the toponymic typology of traditional village names in Pekutatan District, Jembrana Regency, Bali. The study was conducted in 13 traditional villages using Blair and Tent’s (2021) typology of toponymy as the analytical framework. Data were collected through observation, interviews, recording, and note-taking techniques and were analyzed using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results reveal two categories of toponyms, namely single-category and complex-category toponyms. Ten traditional village names belong to the single category, consisting of descriptive–topographical (2 data), associative–environmental (4 data), event–incident (3 data), and transferred–location (1 datum). Three village names belong to the complex category, consisting of descriptive–functional combined with event–incident (1 datum) and associative–environmental combined with descriptive–locational (2 data). The findings indicate that the naming of traditional villages in Pekutatan District is closely related to geographical characteristics, environmental features, historical events, social experiences, and settlement development processes. These toponyms reflect the dynamic interaction between language, environment, history, and the socio-cultural life of the local community
