<![CDATA[This Community Service Program aims to empower the community through training in plastic waste management using ecobricks. Plastic waste has become an increasingly serious environmental issue due to the high use of single-use plastics and the low rate of recycling. Poorly managed plastic waste can pollute soil, water, and ecosystems, as well as negatively impact human health. One innovative and environmentally friendly solution that can be implemented is the use of ecobricks, a method of managing plastic waste by stuffing non-organic plastic waste into plastic bottles until they are compacted and can then be utilized as alternative building materials, such as chairs, tables, or walls. This proposal aims to: reduce the amount of plastic waste in the environment; increase public awareness of the importance of waste management; and encourage the utilization of waste into useful and valuable products. The implementation methods include: socialization and education for the community regarding the impacts of plastic waste; hands-on training in making ecobricks; and the collection and utilization of ecobricks for simple construction projects. The expected outcomes of this program are the reduction of plastic waste, the creation of a cleaner environment, and the development of a more caring and creative community in managing waste. Through a participatory and sustainable approach, the use of ecobricks can become an effective solution to overcoming plastic waste problems while also providing social and economic benefits to the community.]]>
