Abstract. Concentration is one of the important abilities that need to be developed in early childhood because it influences children's success in participating in learning activities. Children aged 4–5 years have active characteristics, high curiosity, and limited attention spans, requiring learning stimulation that is attractive and appropriate to their developmental stage. One learning medium that can attract children's attention is audiovisual media, which combines images, sound, color, and movement in the learning process. This study aims to describe the use of audiovisual media in improving the concentration of children aged 4–5 years at TK Kartika Jaya, Ternate City. The study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Research subjects consisted of children aged 4–5 years, classroom teachers, and the school principal. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that audiovisual media help improve children's attention, focus, responses, and engagement during learning activities. Children appeared more enthusiastic when learning activities involved educational videos, animations, and children's songs relevant to the learning themes. However, the effectiveness of audiovisual media was influenced by the availability of supporting facilities and teachers' ability to select and manage learning media. Therefore, audiovisual media can serve as an effective alternative learning medium to support the development of concentration in early childhood education.
