AbstractVehicle speeding violations are one of the major contributors to traffic accidents, while the implementation of Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) systems remains limited due to their relatively high infrastructure and operational costs. This study aims to design, implement, and evaluate an Internet of Things (IoT)-based prototype for vehicle speeding violation detection capable of providing real-time monitoring and notifications. The research employed the prototyping method, which consists of requirements identification, system design, prototype development, system testing, and result analysis. The proposed system utilizes an ESP32 microcontroller as the main controller, two HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensors to detect vehicles and calculate their speed based on travel time differences, a Logitech C270 webcam to capture vehicle images, and the Blynk platform for monitoring and notification services. The experimental results demonstrate that the system successfully detects vehicles, calculates their speed, determines violation status, displays violation information on the Blynk dashboard, and automatically sends notifications to officers. Performance evaluation indicates an accuracy of 91%, a 100% vehicle detection success rate, an average response time of 0.4 seconds, and 100% system stability. These results demonstrate that the developed prototype is capable of performing the primary functions of an IoT-based vehicle speeding violation detection system in accordance with the proposed design. Kata Kunci: deteksi pelanggaran kecepatan; Internet of Things; prototyping; sistem pemantauan lalu lintas; ultrasonik
