This study focuses on the gamolan musical instruments that are still preserved by the people of Lampung. The aim of this study is to describe the cultural values and functions that have developed and are embodied in the gamolan musical instruments. This study is a qualitative study using qualitative content analysis to obtain data that is relevant to the overall context of the article. The author gathered information from various sources, such as books, articles, newspapers, and relevant online media. After the information was collected, the data was filtered to find the sources most relevant to the research topic. The next step was to note the important points and compile them into a coherent and relevant paper on the theme. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the existence of Gamolan in the modern era warrants special attention because the interest of the younger generation in Gamolan continues to decline. This can be overcome with preservation efforts that support the sustainability of Gamolan, such as through art communities, collaboration with the education sector and academic institutions, as well as musical innovation or the creation of powerful gamolan songs.
