<![CDATA[The issue of organic waste management, particularly cattle manure, in Klodangan Hamlet prompted the implementation of a training program aimed at enhancing the community’s capacity to convert waste into useful compost. Although the area has abundant organic waste resources, they remain underutilized due to a lack of technical knowledge and practical skills among residents. In response, a team of lecturers from the Chemical Engineering Department of IST AKPRIND Yogyakarta, in collaboration with student interns, organized a training session to transfer relevant knowledge and hands-on skills in composting techniques. The activity involved active participation from local residents and was conducted through a combination of lectures and direct practice. The community service activity in Klodangan, Sendangtirto, Berbah, Sleman, on December 22, 2023, aimed to provide training on organic waste management, particularly the conversion of cow manure into compost fertilizer. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants' understanding and interest in managing organic waste for productive use. Beyond its environmental benefits, the program also introduced new economic opportunities for the community and strengthened the collaborative relationship between higher education institutions and local society.
