The interest of Vocational High School (SMK) students in pursuing higher education is crucial for educational continuity and the enhancement of human resource quality. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing SMK students' interest in pursuing higher education, based on prior research. A literature review method was employed, examining scholarly articles sourced from Google Scholar, DOAJ, Garuda, SINTA, and international journal databases. The articles reviewed were published between 2017 and 2025, focused on SMK students or vocational education, addressed the interest in pursuing higher education, utilized quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods approaches, and were available in full-text format. The review process involved article searching, screening based on titles and abstracts, full-text examination, data extraction, content analysis, and synthesis of results. The findings indicate that student interest is influenced by both internal and external factors. Internal factors include learning motivation, academic achievement, self-efficacy, aspirations, and perceptions of higher education. External factors encompass parental support, family socioeconomic status, peers, guidance and counseling teachers, and the school environment. Consequently, increasing student interest requires an integrated approach that strengthens internal factors while fostering a supportive environment
