Science literacy is essential for enabling elementary students to understand scientific concepts, interpret evidence, and apply scientific knowledge to everyday life. However, abstract science concepts remain difficult to understand because of limited interactive and technology-enhanced learning media. This study aimed to develop, determine the feasibility of, and evaluate the effectiveness of an Augmented Reality (AR)-integrated Interactive E-Book assisted by Assemblr Edu in improving fifth-grade elementary school students’ science literacy on the Earth System topic. Unlike conventional digital books, the developed media integrates interactive learning content with AR-based 3D visualizations to concretize abstract scientific concepts within a single learning resource. This Research and Development study employed the ADDIE model and involved 60 fifth-grade students, consisting of 30 students in the experimental group and 30 in the control group, aged 10-11 years. Data were collected through observations, interviews, expert validation, documentation, and pre-test and post-test assessments. The results showed that the developed media was highly feasible. Students’ mean science literacy score increased from 37.00 to 86.67, with an average N-Gain of 0.5815, indicating moderate improvement. The experimental group also achieved significantly higher outcomes than the control group (p < 0.001). These findings demonstrate that the media provides a practical technology-enhanced resource for concretizing abstract science concepts and supporting science literacy development in elementary education.
