Background: This study aimed to analyze the effect of nutrition education on dietary adherence among patients with diabetes mellitus and hypertension in the inpatient ward of RSUD dr. H. Andi Abdurrahman Noor Method: The study employed a quasi-experimental design with a Non-Equivalent Control Group Pretest–Posttest involving 36 respondents divided into an intervention group and a control group. The intervention group received face-to-face nutrition education accompanied by leaflets, while the control group received leaflets only. Dietary adherence was assessed based on the principles of food type, quantity, and meal timing using questionnaires and plate waste observation. Result: Normality testing indicated that the data were not normally distributed; therefore, non-parametric statistical tests were applied. Dietary adherence in the intervention group increased significantly after nutrition education compared to the control group (p < 0.05). Conclusion: Face-to-face nutrition education was more effective in improving dietary adherence among patients with diabetes mellitus and hypertension than leaflet provision alone
