Soil is the primary medium for plant growth with diverse characteristics, including soil chemical properties that play an important role in determining soil fertility and land capability. This research aimed to identify soil chemical properties in irrigated rice fields in Mobui Village, Kembayan District, Sanggau Regency as a basis for efficient soil management and fertilization. The research was conducted on three units of irrigated rice fields, each with an area of 1 hectare with different rice production yields. Soil sampling used purposive sampling method and diagonal system at a depth of 0-20 cm, consisting of 12 disturbed soil samples composited from five sub-samples at each observation point and 3 undisturbed soil samples. Laboratory analysis included soil texture, bulk density, pH, C-organic, N-total, P-available, exchangeable-K, exchangeable-Ca, exchangeable-Mg, CEC, and base saturation. The results showed that the soil type at the research location belonged to Inceptisol order with Typic Dystrudepts subgroup. Soil texture ranged from clay loam to loam with low to moderate bulk density (0.83-0.91 g/cm³). Soil chemical properties showed acidic pH (5.43-5.64), moderate to high C-organic (2.11-3.22%), moderate N-total (0.30-0.37%), low P-available (10.34-11.78 ppm), very low to low exchangeable-K (0.13-0.23 cmol(+)kg⁻¹), very low to low exchangeable-Ca (1.37-2.54 cmol(+)kg⁻¹), very low to low exchangeable-Mg (0.27-0.58 cmol(+)kg⁻¹), low CEC (6.87-10.54 cmol(+)kg⁻¹), and low to moderate base saturation (23.34-54.35%). Fertilization recommendations for field A are Urea 420.36 kg/ha, SP-36 219.53 kg/ha, and KCl 162,5 kg/ha; field B are Urea 420.52 kg/ha, SP-36 242.05 kg/ha, and KCl 152,43 kg/ha; and field C are Urea 418.76 kg/ha, SP-36 230.11 kg/ha, and KCl 177,05 kg/ha Keyword: irrigation, Kembayan, soil chemistry, fertilization recommendations, rice field
