Career development and teaching workload are two aspects playing an important role in determining teacher performance and professionalism. These two aspects frequently generate conflicting demands and require sufficient allocation of time and resources, necessitating teachers to find ways to balance them to prevent imbalances that yield negative impacts. This study aims to examine strategies applicable by teachers to balance career development demands with teaching workloads. The method used in this study is a literature review gathering and analyzing various information sources relevant to the study topic. The results of the review indicate that applicable strategies encompass structured activity planning, appropriate priority setting, optimal utilization of time and resources, seeking support from the work environment, and developing required personal capabilities. The implementation of these strategies will assist teachers in meeting the demands of both aspects simultaneously without inducing conflicts or declines in the quality of resulting performance. The implication of this study is the necessity of support from the educational environment to facilitate teachers in executing dual roles as educators sekaligus career developers, thereby enabling the quality of organized education to continuously improve.
