Abstract

The problem of this research is still low ability of critical thinking leaners at of country 1 Pingsewu south. The purpuso of this study to determine the effect of the use of learning based learning on the critical thinking skills of learners in the fourth grade of public elemtary school one pringsewu south. Method used in this research is quasi experiment menthod with research design nonequivalent control group design. The research uses purposive sampling. The instruments used in this study test critical thinking skills. Data analysis using simple linear regression. The result of this study showed that the model of problem based learning affects the ability to think critically learners in the fourth grade of primary school one pringsewu south of the academic year 2017/2018.  Masalah penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik di SD Negeri 1 Pringsewu selatan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model  pembelajaran problem based learning terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pesera didik di kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Pringsewu selatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrument yang digunakan dalam penelitan ini tes kemampuan berpikir kritis. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran  problem based learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik di  kelas IV SD Negeri 1 Pringsewu Selatan tahun ajaran 2017/2018.Kata kunci : berpikir kritis, model pembelajaran, problem based learning.
