Telah diuji tingkat harmonisa yang ditimbulkan oleh 6 sampel lampu hemat energi (LHE) 5 watt yang beredar di pasaran. Data individual harmonic distortion (IHD) diukur sampai orde ke-39 untuk setiap LHE, sesuai standar International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61000. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa ITHD berkisar 69,3-81,72%, power factor (PF) 0,54-0,62, dan IHD tertinggi pada orde ke-3 dan diikuti orde ke-5. Menurut standar Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) 519-1992 ITHD < 20%, standar Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) PF ≥ 0,85 dan standard IEC 61000, dapat disimpulkan bahwa 6 sampel LHE tersebut tidak ada yang memenuhi standar performance yang disyaratkan. The level of harmonics generated by the six samples of common market energy-saving lamps (ESL) of 5 watts has been measured up to the 39th order for each ESL, according to IEC 61000. From thetest results of the six samples show ITHD ranged from 69.3 to 81.72%, and power factor (PF) 0.54 - 0.62, with the highest harmonics on the order of the 3rd and 5th. According to the IEEE Standard 519-1992 ITHD has to be less than 20%, PLN standard i.e. PF has to be greater than or equal to 0.85, and the IEC61000. It can be concluded that the six samples of ESL have not met the required performance standards.
