Abstract

Suitable land-cover/land-use  information is rarely available in most developing countries, particularly when newness, accuracy, relevance, and compatibility are used as evaluation criteria.  In Indonesia, various institutions developed their own maps with considerable differences in classification schemes, data sources and scales, as well as in survey methods.  Redundant land-cover/land-use surveys of the same area are frequently carried out to ensure the data contains relevant information. To overcome this problem, a multidimensional land-use classification system was developed. The system uses satellite imagery as main data source, with a multi-dimensional approach to link  land-cover information to land-use-related categories.  The land-cover/land-use layers represent image-based land-cover (spectral), spatial, temporal, ecological and socio-economic dimensions.  The final land-cover/land-use database can be used to derive a map with  specific content relevant to particular planning tasks. Methods for mapping each dimension are described in this paper, with examples using Quickbird satellite imagery covering a small part the Semarang area, Indonesia.  The approaches and methods used in this study may be applied to other countries having characteristics similar to those of Indonesia

Abstract

ABSTRACTIndonesia as an agricultural country needs to ensure the provision of sustainable agricultural land as the main source of  income for the majority of its people by fostering  the implementation of  the principles of efficiency, sustainability, and self-reliance as well as environmentally sound in agricultural land-use. On the other hand, the  high  population growth of the country (1.4 to 1.5% per year) as well as the economic and industrial development resulted in the degradation and conversion of agricultural lands that hamper  the carrying capacity nationally in maintaining independence and food security.Based on this background, system and methodology developed land suitability mapping using spatial and temporal approach. The goals to be achieved is, first of agricultural land suitability analysis is based on the type of agricultural commodities and climate information, both the alignment evaluation of agricultural land use and spatial planning of the area, the third degradation analysis and mapping of agricultural areas based on data for 1990-2010, the four evaluation Spatial Plan (Spatial), and fifth strategies and policies appropriate to the land use for sustainable agriculture and backup. The methods used in this study include descriptive survey, analysis of spatial and temporal data using statistics G*. Range of values used for the classification of documents using agroecological zone guidelines. Keywords: modeling, mapping, spatial, temporal, G * statistic.

Abstract

Soccer Tabloid is a football media that stopped its publishing in October, 2014. Based on the data of Kominfo and APJII, the unpublished Soccer Tabloid was concured with the increasing consumption of online media in Indonesia. Soccer Tabloid stopped its production due to the declining of selling circulation per year. As a result of the failed production of Soccer Tabloid, the readers are forced to seek the information from other media The purpose of this study is to describe the orientation of information seeking pattern perpetrated by the Soccer Tabloid readers after failing in production since 2014. This research uses Descriptive Case Study Approach along with Post-Positivist Paradigm. It also applies Information Seeking Theory and Uses and Gratification Theory. The technique of data analysis in this study requires the analytic technique of pattern-matching by Robert K. Yin. This study acknowledges the result that matches with the predicted pattern in which the information seeking pattern alteration is solely addressed to certain age categories. It can be seen from the research subjects with age category of 18 to 25 and age category of 26 to 35, they switch to use online media in fulfilling their information needs, contrasting with age category of 36 to 45 who still uses mass media In conclusion, information understanding recognized by each informant relating to football news from the media they consume results in activity, namely media preference in fulfilling information needs about football. The motives of each informant are various as well in consuming Socccer Tabloid due to their own needs. After Soccer Tabloid bankruptcy, informants apply the broad and narrow strategy selections in media preference to fulfill the needs of football information.

Abstract

Information technology (IT) resource management is considered as one of the main pillars of Information System (IS) governance in the company. In this article, we propose a systemic approach from the structural paradigm based essentially on the formal extension of the ISO 19440 Meta-model. This structure contains specific constructs from the Cobit framework and system tools as the Galois lattices, likely to bring a better vision of the use of IT resource in the company. This technique allows a systemic analysis applied to special structural matrices to evaluate the deployment mode of IT resource to achieve business processes. Such approach allows a good optimization of IT resource as a pragmatic and effective contribution to Information System governance.

Abstract

Applying the principle in which new information should be used fully and modeling method of grey system for the problem of lower precision as well as lower adaptability in non-equidistant multivariable MGM(1,n)model, a non-equidistant multivariable new information MGM(1,n) model was put forward which was taken the mth component as the initialization. As the background value is an important factor affecting the precision of grey system model, based on index characteristic of grey model, the characteristic of integral and new information principle, the new information background value in non-equidistant multivariable new information MGM(1,n) was researched and the discrete function with non-homogeneous exponential law was used to fit the accumulated sequence and the formula of new information background value was given. This new non-equidistant multivariable MGM(1,n) model can be used in equidistance & non-equidistance modeling and has the characteristic of high precision as well as high adaptability. Examples validate the practicability and reliability of the proposed model. DOI : http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/telkomnika.v12i6.4822
