Abstract

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) is a role-based access management mechanism that restricts user privileges according to their authority within an information system. The implementation of this mechanism is particularly important in pharmacy drug stock management systems, especially at Apotek Pratama dr. Moris, which still relies on manual stock recording. This condition often results in data discrepancies, delays in monitoring expired medications, difficulties in report generation, and the absence of clear access restrictions for each user. This study focuses on developing a web-based drug stock management information system with RBAC as the primary mechanism for user authorization and security. The system was developed using the Waterfall methodology, which includes requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The application was built using Laravel framework version 11, MySQL database, and the Laravel Spatie Permission package for managing roles and permissions. Black Box Testing results indicate that all functional test scenarios were executed successfully, achieving a 100% success rate. User acceptance testing, conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS), yielded an average score of 76, categorized as Good. The findings demonstrate that the implementation of RBAC effectively restricts user access based on roles, enhances data security, and improves the accuracy and efficiency of drug stock management compared to the previous manual system.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and improve the security of the SawitGoDigi Palm Oil Harvest Recording Information System using grey-box and white-box testing approaches. The system is used by farmers, agents, drivers, and administrators to manage land data, harvest results, distribution, and transaction records, which makes it highly exposed to security risks if vulnerabilities are present. The security testing process was conducted based on the OWASP Web Security Testing Guide (WSTG) v4.2 and the OWASP Risk Rating Methodology. The testing stages included reconnaissance, automated scanning using OWASP ZAP, manual exploitation, risk evaluation, implementation of security improvements, and retesting. The results revealed several significant vulnerabilities, including SQL Injection in the search feature, weak session management through the trusted_device cookie, and the absence of a rate-limiting mechanism that enabled brute-force attacks during the login process. The risk assessment indicated that SQL Injection and session hijacking were classified as High risk, while brute-force attacks were categorized as Medium risk. Security improvements were implemented through the use of prepared statements, strengthening cookie attributes, adding security headers, and implementing rate limiting. Retesting results confirmed that all identified vulnerabilities were successfully mitigated and reduced to a Low-risk level. This study demonstrates that a comprehensive security testing approach, which includes exploitation, remediation, and verification through retesting, can significantly enhance the security of agribusiness web applications. Furthermore, the findings show that before remediation, the system contained four vulnerabilities with High and Medium risk levels, namely SQL Injection, Session Hijacking, Brute-Force Login, and Security Misconfiguration. After the remediation and retesting process, all High- and Medium-risk vulnerabilities were successfully reduced to Low risk or marked as Closed, indicating that the system is secure for operational use.

Abstract

Stunting remains a persistent public health concern in urban Semarang, Central Java; however, mothers’ coping processes are still weakly operationalized in prior research. While the Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) offers a useful lens for understanding how people make health-related decisions, it is better understood as a social–cognitive decision-making framework than a full coping model, and the real-world links between seeking health information, responding to it, and taking action to prevent stunting have rarely been put to the test. This study set out to explore how maternal health information seeking, viewed here as a form of cognitive coping, relates to stunting prevention practices, drawing on the TRA to understand how gathering information might lead mothers to take deliberate preventive steps. A cross-sectional survey was administered to 337 mothers from Central Java, Indonesia. Structured questionnaires were used to assess health information-seeking behavior, social media utilization, family health communication, and stunting prevention practices. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and chi-square tests. Most mothers reported moderate to high information-seeking (51.6% moderate; 46.9% high) and high prevention practices (66.2%). Information seeking was strongly associated with stunting prevention practices (χ² = 98.612, df = 4, p < .001). Social media use was also significantly related to information seeking (χ² = 116.428, df = 4, p < .001). In addition, 73.9% received information related to stunting during pregnancy, and 90.2% reported intensive family health communication. These findings suggest that health information seeking functions as an effective cognitive coping mechanism that shapes maternal stunting prevention behaviors. Digital health interventions leveraging social media and strengthening family communication may enhance maternal coping and improve prevention outcomes in the future.

Abstract

East Java is a province with a wide variety of tourist attractions, including natural, cultural, and man-made attractions spread across various regions. However, information about these attractions is still not well-centralized, so tourists often experience difficulties in finding recommendations for tourist attractions that suit their desires. Based on these problems, this study aims to design a website-based information system for recommendations and promotions of tourist attractions in East Java using the User-Centered Design (UCD) method. The UCD method is used because it emphasizes user involvement in the system design process. The research stages include gathering user needs, designing the system according to user needs, and evaluating the design, which is carried out conceptually without an implementation stage. The result of this study is an information system design that is expected to facilitate tourists in obtaining information and recommendations for tourist attractions, while also helping the process of promoting tourist destinations in East Java more effectively.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has significantly transformed Sharia-based commercial practices, leading to the rapid growth of halal marketplaces as platforms for Islamic digital trade. While these marketplaces aim to facilitate transactions that comply with Islamic principles, emerging ethical challenges particularly related to price and information transparency have raised critical concerns. In digital environments, consumers depend heavily on information provided by sellers and platforms, creating potential information asymmetry that may undermine the principles of honesty, justice, and mutual consent emphasized in Islamic business ethics. This study examines the issue of transparency in Sharia-based digital transactions by focusing on price disclosure and information clarity within halal marketplaces. This research employs a qualitative normative empirical approach, integrating Islamic business ethics theory with empirical observations of digital marketplace practices. Data were collected through document analysis, observation of marketplace interfaces, and in-depth review of relevant literature on Islamic ethics and digital commerce. The analysis is guided by key principles of Islamic business ethics, including honesty (ṣidq), transparency (shafāfiyyah), justice (ʿadl), trustworthiness (amānah), and mutual consent (tarāḍin). The findings reveal that although halal marketplaces generally display prices and product information, transparency is often partial and procedural rather than substantive. Hidden costs, conditional pricing, incomplete product descriptions, and unclear transactional terms contribute to persistent information asymmetry and weaken ethical compliance. The study concludes that transparency in Islamic digital commerce is a moral imperative rather than a technical feature. Strengthening ethical governance, improving information disclosure, and integrating Islamic ethical principles into platform design are essential for ensuring genuine Sharia compliance. These findings offer important ethical and practical implications for halal marketplace operators, digital Sharia business actors, regulators, and future research in Islamic digital economics.
