Local churches in Indonesia hold a rich deposit of theological and historical memory rooted in the founding faith experiences of their communities, yet this deposit is under threat due to limited institutional awareness and capacity for preservation. At the same time, scholarly engagement with the historiography of local Indonesian churches — particularly work that offers a directly applicable methodological framework — remains scarce in the literature of Indonesian Christian theology and history. This article aims to construct a theoretical and practical foundation for local churches in Indonesia to undertake archival preservation and begin writing their church histories in a systematic manner. Drawing on a literature review and conceptual analysis, the article argues that local churches bear a theological and historical responsibility to save and preserve their memories (saving memories), and that this responsibility can be fulfilled through two complementary methodological approaches: formal history and pluralistic historiography. These findings indicate that the application of both approaches enables local churches not only to conserve past memory but also to transform it into historical narrative that contributes to a richer understanding of the development of Christianity in Indonesia.

. The preservation of static archives in the Office of Religious Affairs (Kantor Urusan Agama/KUA) plays a crucial role in safeguarding the legal and administrative evidence of marriage for the community. However, many marriage records created between 1978 and 2002 at the Office of Religious Affairs of Medan Labuhan Subdistrict have experienced physical deterioration due to age, storage limitations, and environmental factors. Based on archival observations, out of 51 archival bundles (2,550 records), 76.4% were categorized as damaged, while only 23.5% remained in good condition. This condition highlights the urgency of implementing a systematic digitalization strategy as an effort to preserve static archives and ensure long-term access. This study aims to analyze the implementation of marriage archive digitalization as a preservation strategy and to examine its effectiveness in maintaining the authenticity, integrity, and accessibility of archival records. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, documentation analysis, and field-based data interpretation. The findings indicate that digitalization contributes significantly to minimizing physical handling, preventing further deterioration, improving retrieval efficiency, and strengthening archival security. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, including limited technological infrastructure, lack of standardized procedures, and human resource constraints. The study concludes that digitalization is not merely a technological transition but a strategic preservation effort that requires institutional commitment, proper archival management standards, and sustainable planning. By integrating digital preservation practices into archival governance, the Office of Religious Affairs can enhance the protection of marriage archives as static archives and ensure their continued legal and administrative value for future generations.

Archive digitization is the activity of converting archives from analog or physical form into digital form archives and it becomes a strategic effort to support preservation. This research is important because the Bandung Regency DPRD’s photo archives hold significant historical value as part of the region’s collective memory, yet they are vulnerable to physical damage and loss of information over time. Furthermore, this research is expected to contribute to the development of digital archival studies, particularly by providing an overview of the implementation of photo archive digitization as a preservation effort in regional archival institutions. The purpose of this research is to find out about digitization as an effort to preserve the DPRD Kabupaten Bandung photo archives. This research is a type of qualitative research. The data in this study were obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study reveal that there are shortcomings in each important stage of digitization as an effort to preserve the DPRD Kabupaten Bandung photo archives, namely selection, information capture, processing, archiving, and presentation, but it is still an important step as an effort to preserve the DPRD Kabupaten Bandung photo archives, which has historical value. Archiving or preservation is the process and work in order to physically protect archives against damage or elements of damage and to conduct restroration of damage archive part caused by both internal (intrinsic) factors of the archive itself and external factors. The archival preservation in intitutions is important for their long-term concerns because it can prevert more serve damage, loss of material and information.The purpose of archival preservation is to preserve their sustainability and to extend their life of use so that it can last longer and can be more useful. Therefore, there is an effort to convert files like the effort to digitize archives to keep them in electronic from to save space and to make the maintenance easy since there are many important archives that regrettably are in bad condition.

ABSTRAK Arsip vital perguruan tinggi merupakan arsip yang sangat penting bagi keberlangsungan kegiatan suatu perguruan tinggi karena merupakan bukti yang merekam seluruh kegiatan suatu organisasi dalam hal ini perguruan tinggi yang diperlukan untuk menentukan kedudukan perguruan tinggi dimata hukum, seperti Udang-Undang atau peraturan dari suatu organisasi yang berkaitan dengan kegiatan manajemen dan keberlangsungan perguruan tinggi. Melihat begitu pentingnya fungsi arsip vital, maka arsip vital dilindungi dan dilestarikan dengan baik. Dengan memperhatikan itu semua semua maka dirasa perlu untuk melakukan kajian mengenai preservasi arsip vital di perguruan tinggi dengan mengambil studi kasus di sebuah perguruan tinggi yang bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana kegiatan preservasi arsip vital perguruan tinggi dilakukan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam. Bentuk pertanyaan semi terstruktur dan mengacu kepada hasil kuesioner yang telah diisi oleh setiap unit kerja. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi, yaitu pengecekan data dengan metode observasi ke unit-unit kerja fakultas dan universitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preservasi arsip vital belum dilakukan secara tersistem dan perlu dibuat sebuah program kearsipan untuk melindungi dan menyelamatkan arsip vital. Web as a source of global information has created a new challenge for archiving digital material. National Web Archive as one part of the web portal of the National Digital Library has an important role in the effort to store, manage, archive and preserve the documentary heritage of Indonesia in online formats. This study was done to evaluate the utilization of associated factors that interact and influence the level of user acceptance of the technology of this web archiving system. The study using the modeling methodology TAM (Technology Acceptance Model) as a theoretical framework and multivariate statistical analysis techniques SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) using AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures) software tools. Data were collected through snowball sampling with the help of an online questionnaire, where the number of 110 respondents in this study are pemustaka who utilize the site of the National Library. The results show the suitability of TAM as a theoretical framework that can accept the hypothesis that has positive and significant exception Influence Perception of Benefits (PU) on Intention to Use (BITU) indicates a value below 0.736 because of the measurement standard price table = 1.96 ie thitung <ttable so H0 is accepted.Keywords: web archive, Technology Acceptance Model, Structural Equation Modeling.

Penelitian ini berjudul “Preservasi Arsip Rekam Medis Sebagai Sumber Informasi di RSUD Dr Soeselo Kab.Tegal”. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berpotensi menyebabkan kerusakan arsip rekam medis, bagaimana upaya preservasi manajemen Unit rekam medis dan untuk mengetahui kendala apa saja dalam melakukan kegiatan preservasi di RSUD Dr. Soeselo Slawi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sampling dan snowball sampling, yaitu dengan memilih lima informan berdasarkan kriteria staff Rumah Sakit berlatar belakang DIII Rekam medis bagian filling unit rekam medis berjumlah 4 orang dan Subbag Perencanaan (Manajemen) Rekam Medis berjumlah 4 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, wawancara dan studi pustaka. Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis Miles dan Huberman yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan simpulan. Analisis penelitian ini meliputi faktor-faktor apa saja yang menimbulkan bahaya bagi arsip rekam medis dan bagaimana upaya preservasi yang dilakukan Unit manajemen rekam medis di RSUD Dr Soeselo Kab. Tegal. Hasil dari penelitian ini diharapkan staff rekam medis dapat mengetahui bahaya kerusakan arsip yang ada di Rumah Sakit dan staff rekam medis dapat melakukan upaya pencegahan yang sudah ada dalam pedoman salah satunya dengan menerapkan contoh Standard Operational Prosedur (SOP) Penanggulangan bencana yang disarankan oleh peneliti untuk melindungi rekam medis yang telah dimiliki.

Penelitian ini berjudul Peran Arsiparis dalam Melakukan Preservasi Arsip Statis di Dinas Kearsipan dan PerpustakaanKabupaten Cilacap. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran arsiparis dalam melakukan preservasi arsip statis.Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Informan pada penelitian ini merupakan tiga arsiparisdi Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Cilacap . Teknik pemilihan informan menggunakan teknik purposivesampling, metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan darianalisis Miles dan Huberman. Penelitian ini menggunakan UU No. 43 tahun 2009 dan Peraturan Pemerintah No. 28 tahun2012 sebagai acuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran arsiparis Dinas Kearsipan dan PerpustakaanKabupaten Cilacap dalam melakukan preservasi arsip statis sesuai dengan UU No. 43 tahun 2009 dan PeraturanPemerintah No. 28 tahun 2012 sesuai dengan tugas, fungsi dan wewenang arsiparis yang berpedoman dengan PermenpanNo. 48 tahun 2014 yang mengandung semua poin penting dalam melakukan peservasi arsip statis. Preservasi yang ada diDinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Kabupaten Cilacap yaitu preservasi preventif seperti penyimpanan arsip dan fumigasi,sedangkan preservasi kuratif seperti penggantian boks dan penggantian kertas pembungkus arsip yang rusak serta laminasiyang dilakukan dengan bekerjasama dengan Dinas Kearsipan dan Perpustakaan Provinsi Jawa Tengah.

This research aims to analyze the preservation of archive prevention activities, the obstacles faced in the preservation of archive preventive activities as well as standard procedures for the implementation of archive preventive preservation activities conducted at the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia Prov. West Sumatra. This research method is descriptive qualitative, with source data some key informant through result of interview and direct observation to research object. The secondary data supporting this research were obtained from documents available at the site of the research object. To test the validity of data used Triangulation Technique. Based on information from informants of this study can be explained that archive preventive preservation activities as a whole have been done well and systematically. This can be seen in the presence of the Sentral Khasanah Archive (SKA) room equipped with adequate facilities and infrastructure. Implementation of fumigation done in per-riodik that is 2 times in a year which aims for early prevention activities to archive undamaged eaten by termites / damage to the archive because of the temperature and humidity factor of the room. Some of the obstacles that prevent optimum preservation of preservation in research object are caused by: 1) Human resources that have not background as archivist, 2) Low level of employee awareness, 3) Unavailability of special time for archive management. The results of this study also proves that the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) used do not contain in detail the steps of preservation of archive preservation precautions. Tulisan ini berjudul Preservasi Arsip dengan rumusan masalah bagaimanakah tahapan dalam kegiatan preservasi arsip. Metode yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah library research dan tulisan ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tahapan yang harus dilakukan saat melakukan kegiatan preservasi arsip. Karena nilai informasi yang terkandung dalam arsip merupakan informasi yang berharga, maka arsip harus dirawat, dilestarikan dan mendapatkan penanganan yang baik. Preservasi arsip yang dilakukan berbeda-beda sesuai dengan bahan dasar arsip diantaranya kertas, foto, digital dan bahan dasar lainnya. Begitu juga tempat penyimpanan dan pengaturan suhu, cahaya bahkan kelembaban terhadap penyimpanan arsip. Preservasi arsip adalah kegiatan menjaga keberlangsungan siklus hidup arsip agar informasi yang terkandung tetap dapat diakses. Karena ketahanan arsip tersebut akan sangat bergantung terhadap pengelolaan maupun tindakan preservasi yang dilakukan sepanjang siklus hidup arsip. Preservasi secara umum bertujuan untuk mencegah risiko kerusakan agar tidak terjadi dalam jangka waktu yang cepat, hal ini biasanya dilakukan dengan pemilihan fasilitas dan penyimpanan yang berkualitas baik penanganan yang tepat oleh staff, serta mengidentifikasi atau menggandakan bagian yang rusak untuk diperbaiki agar informasi tetap dapat diakses.
