Information on origin, dissemination and levels and distribution of genetic diversity in coconuts will allow plant breeders and conservationists to select better breeding materials and formulate appropriate conservation strategies. PCR-based DNA profiling of coconut palms from Sri Lanka was initially conducted using both Amplified Fragment Length Polymorphism (AFLPs) and Microsatellites (SSRs). Thirty-nine microsatellite primers specific to coconut were developed by small insert genomic library construction. Eighteen of those primers were used to analyze the same set of Sri Lankan coconut materials. Overall, the results generated by both AFLPs and SSRs were in agreement. Most diversity was found in the tall variety (Typica) (0.92 and 0.62 for AFLPs and SSRs, respectively) rather than the intermediate (Aurantiaca) and dwarf (Nana) varieties (0.82 and 0.25 for AFLPs and SSRs, respectively). A hierarchical analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) based on AFLP data was used to quantify and partition levels of variability between and within form components. This revealed that for the inbreeding dwarf and intermediate forms most variation was observed between rather than within forms. In contrast, the out-breeding tall forms exhibited as much variation within as between forms.

The educational world in Indonesia experiences a phenomenon in the face of the era of industrial revolution 4.0, this can have a significant impact on the world of education. Many scientists, experts, organizations, educational institutions, universities make strategies in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0. One of them conducted by the Federation of Information and Communication Technology Teachers) held a workshop in Jakarta, 6-7 October 2018 themed "Dynamics of ICT / Informatics Learning Policies in the Age of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and Increased Competence of ICT/Informatics Teachers on 21st Century Learning". This study aims to determine the ICT-based learning strategies applied at Public Senior Scondary School 1 Sungai Rotan in the face of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. Sources of data obtained by researchers from teachers as the object of research at Public Senior Scondary School 1 Sungai Rotan and obtained from the latest information in the world of education related to the era of industrial revolution 4.0. The data of this study were collected using the method of documentation and direct interviews with subject teachers. The findings of the data obtained were then analyzed by researchers that at Public Senior Scondary School 1 Sungai Rotan had a reliable strategy in facing the era of industrial revolution 4.0 because it was proven in every learning that all teachers had applied ICT-based learning, the use of laptops (computers) and the internet was the wrong one that should not be ignored which is integrated in the curriculum.

The influence of the development of information and communication technology encourages innovation in learning activities. This study aims to describe the use of ICT as a medium and source of learning in schools. The research was conducted in 3 locations, namely Public Elementary School 2 Gelumbang and Public Elementary School 29 Gelumbang, Gelumbang District, and Senior Scondary School 1 Sungai Rotan, Sungai Rotan District, Muara Enim Regency, South Sumatra Province. This study uses a qualitative-descriptive approach, with observation techniques, and interviews. The results of the study concluded: (1) the teacher invites students to use ICT facilities in schools in learning activities; (2) the use of ICT-based resources and learning media in schools, among others, using computers, laptops, LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), smartphones, internet networks, and Microsoft office applications; (3) to improve teacher competence in utilizing ICT, teachers need to continue to familiarize themselves. Besides that, there should be a solution to the barriers to the use of ICTs, including conducting training through teacher working group activities (TWG), in order to support the improvement of teachers' abilities and knowledge in the ICT field.

This study aims to study teacher barriers to utilizing information and communication media (ICT) for learning media. This research was carried out at Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau located in Karang Manunggal village, Pulau Rimau sub-district, Banyuasin district. The subjects of this study were teachers at Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau who tested 16 people. In conducting this research, data from certain sources are needed that are as expected in this study. The technique of collecting data is by observation and interview. Data were analyzed using percentages to see the percentage of respondents' answers. Furthermore, all data is processed by analyzing qualitative data, namely data reduction, data display, and data verification. The formulation of the problem in this study is what forms are questioned by the teacher in utilizing technology-based media in Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau ? From the results of research on teacher barriers to using Information Technology (ICT) in Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau, two aspects related to the ability of teachers and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) were inadequate. The obstacle of the teacher's ability to master ICT is that the teacher is not proficient in using computers, judging from the percentage of teacher answers, 75% say they are not proficient in using technology-based media, whereas using computers is one of the activities that support computer-based media. In addition, teachers do not have an advanced educational background in the use of ICT media. Another obstacle in terms of facilities, in Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau there is no electricity network (PLN). In addition to not having a PLN, there is also the unavailability of computer facilities and laptops at the Public Elementary School 24 Pulau Rimau.

ABSTRACT Bungus district of Kabung Bay is a growing region located at coastal zone of southern city of Padang, west sumatra. As a growing region, the Bungus district brings some impacts on population increase and degradation of environment quality. Therefore, it is needed an effort to identify land use changes and the distribution of land use in this region from the year of 2003 until 2013. This research used landsat 7 imagery in 2003 and landsat 8 imagery in 2013. The data were analysed descriptively using geographical informastion system. The result showd that (1) swamp land cover experienced the smallest land use change between 2003 until 2013 (0.02 ha/yr), meanwhile forest land use had the biggest change of about 224.8 ha/yr. The biggest addition of land cover belong to settlement area about 47.59 hectare, and the other hand occur on bush about -31.68 hectare. This research was conducted at MTs. Negeri Banyuwangi in the 2017/2018 school year where motivation for achievement is still low. The purpose of writing this guidance counseling action research is to find out whether information services can increase student achievement motivation. Data collection methods are questionnaires and observations. The data analysis method is descriptive. The results obtained from this study are information services can increase student achievement motivation in following the teaching and learning process. From the results of descriptive data analysis also showed an increase in students' understanding of the importance of having achievement motivation so that their motivation can be increased, ranging from 26.56% to 43.69% with a high category. The conclusion obtained from this study is that information services can increase student achievement motivation in following the teaching and learning process.

This research was conducted to determine the success of the Teacher Management Information System in raising the achievement of the national standard at Muhammadiyah 5 Elementary School-5, Jakarta. It focuses on data collection systems of teachers through Google Drive (GDrive). The researcher used a Goal-Oriented Evaluation Model. The result showed that the program could help school increase the achievement of three out of eight national standards of education, namely the standard of facilities and infrastructure, the standard of management, and the standard of educator and non-educator. The research recommends the program to be continued with improvement. To get maximum results, the principal has to conduct a structured training program followed by establishing a good teacher filing system.

Undergraduate thesis is a scientific paper that students must complete to get a bachelor’s degree. During the completion of the thesis, many students face difficulties in determining research topics, supervision, and administration processes so that they cannot graduate on time. This study aims to analyze the functional needs of the undergraduate thesis information system management that is needed by both students and administrators. This system serves to accelerate the thesis preparation process that is useful for students, supervisors, and thesis administration managers. The procedure of the study was conducted by compiling matrix planning and data collection. As the data source, this study involved 20 students who were writing their undergraduate thesis and 10 alumni who have completed their theses. This sample was selected with the criteria of students or alumni who have been involved in the undergarduate thesis business process. In the process of taking samples reseachers used a purposive sampling method. In addition, difficulties in managing the thesis were also explored by supervisors and study program management. Furthermore, the data were analyzed through PIECES (Performance, Information, Economy, Control, Efficiency, Service). This study produces a list of functional needs on the thesis management system that can encourage students to graduate on time, in which universities can implement this system and socialize it to users.

Samsung Partner Plaza is a company that sells smartphones and serves large-scale sales by adopting the membership and computerized systems. The company’s inventory management activities consist of the normal inventory flow direction and management, ranging from the inventory procurement, storage to sales. The company would often face a problem where it would be running out of finished goods inventory to be sold in coming months. The remaining inventory would be inadequate to meet the customer demands. Such situation, and the fact that the company has competitors both inside and outside Sorong city, might cause customers to find other companies that could meet their demands, thus reducing the company’s capacity to generate profit. Given the situation, this research was conducted to create an information system which could be used by Samsung Partner Plaza for inventory forecasting. The system would provide information regarding the correct amount of inventory which could meet the customer demands. The waterfall method was employed to develop the system whereas the exponential smoothing method was employed by the system to perform forecasting. The research produced a forecasting information system which was helpful for the company in predicting the adequate amount of inventory to be ordered to meet the customer demands. The system was tested using the Black Box testing and the results showed that all functions of the system worked well (valid).
