Abstract

Authentic leadership and school culture are essential factors influenced the acceptability of information and communication technology (ICT) for school management. This study aims to determine the effect of authentic leadership on the acceptance of ICT for school management. This study was conducted using a casual survey with proportional random sampling technique. A total 191 respondents were agreed to join in this study. Data were analyzed using path analysis with Partial Least Square (PLS) approach. The results of this study showed that authentic leadership has a positive and significant impact on ICT acceptance. In conclusion, authentic leadership influenced directly and indirectly perceptions of ICT use, easy use, attitude to use, and actual ICT.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of financial factors (Return on Assets, Current ratio, Debt to Equity Ratio) and non-financial factors (company age and percentage of stock offer) listed in the company?s prospectus against the level of Initial Return of shares. This type of research is quantitative research, the population in this study is a company that experienced a positive initial return on the first day on the secondary market that conducted an Initial Public Offering (IPO) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2018 with a total of 150 issuers, while the sample amounted to 122 issuers using the sampling technique that is purposive sampling method. The analytical method used is multiple linear analysis methods using eviews9. The results of the study indicate that the independent variables namely ROA, CR, DER, AGE, and PPS affect the dependent variable initial return. Only the variable ROA and company age that affects the level of initial stock return. ROA has a significant negative effect on initial return, Company Age has a significant negative effect on initial return. While CR, DER, and Percentage of stock offerings do not affect the stock initial return. For further research, it is better to add other variables, namely market ratios and company size that have not been used in this study.

Abstract

The rapid development of mobile phone technologies in recent years promoted them for being used in various areas of life, such as commercial, health, transportation and tourism and other uses. In this paper, a software engineering based fault tolerance model is proposed to manage the expected faults in the adopted servers. The underlying QR based information system in plants shopping center employs different local serves allocated at local shops that are connected to the main server. In a fault case detection at any local server, the main server can cover the management of the system until the maintenance is completed. This is performed in efficient way as the main server keeps a copy of the information for all local branches. It is important to note that the self-checking process is adopted for fault detection. After completing the maintenance, a copy of the updated information is sent back to the investigated local server including all sales, etc. Moreover, the main and local servers contain information about all offer’s plants in different languages and in text and image form, customer's information and admin's information. The proposed system is tested in several cases to prove the efficiency and effectivity in retrieving and managing information and data as well as the fault tolerance administration.

Abstract

his research aimed to develop an information system supporting research on rubber (ISSR) in Thailand. This system was designed as a web application with responsive web design. The rubber database was developed with MySQL, used Apache Server as a Web Server and programed with PHP-script. High Chart, Google Chart API and Java Technology were used to represent an online information with graphical format. The system was tested with the actual data on rubber research in Southern Thailand. The system has been available online at URL http://www.s-cm.site/issr. There are three type of users: administrator, researcher (member) and generic user. The researcher performed data entry about research with log-in to the system using username and password provided by the automatic system via online registration form. The administrator can manage the research information. The researchers can manage their research information, use searching tool and leave comments on other member’s research. The generic users can access the system without username and password to view the research and general information on rubber. Moreover, the system generates a report on rubber research with online graphical format. In conclusion, this information system enhances investigation on rubber research in Thailand and its strategy planning for rubber plantation in the future.

Abstract

Job searching for the proper vacancy among several choices is one of the most important decision-making problems. The necessity of dealing with uncertainty in such real-world problems has been a long-term research challenge which has originated from different methodologies and theories. The main contribution of this work is to match the applicant curriculum vitae (CV) with the best available job opportunities based on certain criteria. The proposed job searching system (JSS) implements a series of approaches which can be broken down into segmentation, tokenization, part of speech, gazetteer, and fuzzy inference to extract and arrange the required data from the job announcements and CV. Moreover, this study designs a fuzzy parameterized structure to store such data as well as a measuring tool to calculate the degree of similarity between the job requirements and the applicant’s CV. In addition, this system analyses the computed similarity scores in order to get the optimal job opportunities for the job seeker in descending order. The performance evaluation of the proposed system shows high recall and precision percentages for the matching process. The results also confirm the viability of the JSS approach in handling the fuzziness that is associated with the problem of job searching.

Abstract

Face Detection plays a crucial role in identifying individuals and criminals in Security, surveillance, and footwork control systems. Face Recognition in the human is superb, and pictures can be easily identified even after years of separation. These abilities also apply to changes in a facial expression such as age, glasses, beard, or little change in the face. This method is based on 150 three-dimensional images using the Bosphorus database of a high range laser scanner in a Bogaziçi University in Turkey. This paper presents powerful processing for face recognition based on a combination of the salient information and features of the face, such as eyes and nose, for the detection of three-dimensional figures identified through analysis of surface curvature. The Trinity of the nose and two eyes were selected for applying principal component analysis algorithm and support vector machine to revealing and classification the difference between face and non-face. The results with different facial expressions and extracted from different angles have indicated the efficiency of our powerful processing.

Abstract

Automatic classification of remotely sensed digital data is recognised as a robust and efficient method for mapping various land-cover types over a large area. However when more abstract concept such as land-use is required the automatic classification methods cannot be fully useful. This is due to the fact that land-use is related to various landscape factors, and cannot be mapped merely based on its spectral reflectance. This study tried to develop a knowledge-based technique that incorporates textural and terrain information of the image scene into a spectral-based decision making process for land-use labelling. To do so. six reflective hands of Landsat Thematic Mapper (TM) covering Semarang-Ungaran area. Central Java, were used. In addition, all bands were then be filtered using the so-called textural filter, which can accentuate several statistical parameters within a given window. .1 variance parameter was chosen in order to extract heterogeneity within every 7x7 pixels. and the l'ariance values of the whole image dalaset were then stored as a set of texture-filtered bands. Three bands with the lowest 'between-band correlations' were chosen and added to the reflective bands. Based on the nine-layer image dataset, a standard multispectral classification using maximum likelihood algorithm was run. Parallel to this process, a visual interpretation using heads-up digitisation was carried out in order to generate a terrain unit map containing land characteristics relevant to spatial distribution of the land-use in the study area. Finally. the terrain unit map was superimposed with the tentative land-corer map derived from the multispectral classification process. A final land-use map was generated from the nnthisource data integration, controlled by a formalised knowledge about ecological relationship between land-cover. land-use, and land characteristics exist in the field. It was found that the overall accuracy level of the final land-use map is higher as compared to the result generated from six-band classification. However, the use of textural filter also created an 'edge-effect', which shows misclassified pixels alongside the borders of particular land-use categories. The edge-effect also leads to lower accuracy levels for the corresponding land-use categories. In addition, based on the research findings, further research agenda was also set up.

Abstract

Blockchain has been the hype in technology lately and supply chain management is often mentioned as one of its applications. However, it is unwise to just eat the hype. Blockchain does have weaknesses; some of its natures considered as strengths might be weaknesses or problems in some cases. There are many things to be considered and among them are the challenges. This paper presents a systematic literature review of challenges in using blockchain for supply chain management information systems. This paper aims to help stakeholders and top management of supply chains when considering on adopting blockchain. The literatures were gathered from open-access papers found on Google Scholar. A total of 76 unique papers were found and then 29 were selected. The findings were classified into 12 categories. The top three category of challenges are development and implementation, performance and efficiency, and sustainability and scalability. Apparently, although blockchain in cryptocurrency is pretty solid, there are many challenges in its usage for supply chain.

Abstract

Media must get control in order that the practice is not authoritative. In the context, when it is in an individualist form, it tends to produce information without considering the norm. In the individualist characteristic, all the information flow spread massively with the tendency for thick interest.  The research arranged to find out literacy activities in this chaotic era, using qualitative descriptive methods to uncover the minds of literacy avtivists in the information chaos era.  The aim is to find out the form of literacy in accordance with the chaotic conditions of information and literacy activities in growing public awareness in information management. The results showed that literacy forms carried out through the introduction of media (media knowledge) concerning the credibility of the media and recognizing the nature of mainstream and non-mainstream media. Another platform is digital literacy and management of public information. Meanwhile, to raise public awareness is done by producing digital content in anticipation of hoax news, making fact check content, media practices through radio broadcasts and websites, introduction to news construction.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that has a very high morbidity and mortality rate. This disease cannot be cured but can be controlled with good self-management. This research supports the need for appropriate information and educational media in supporting the self-management of patients with diabetes mellitus. This research is qualitative and quantitative. The sample of this study was 105 people with diabetes. Data collection was conducted from July to November 2019 at 7 Puskesmas in Padang City, namely: Nanggalo, Lapai, Alai, Andalas, Ambacang, Kuranji, and Pauh, with interview questions and interviews. Qualitative data processing techniques with coding and data validity by triangulation and analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and analysis. Quantitative data analysis uses SEM (Structural Equation Model) analysis with the Lisrel 8.7 program. The results showed that the informants were elderly (56-65 years), 60% had good self-management quality, 65% actively participated in chronic disease management programs, 49.5 did not have cellphones. All aspects of self-management, namely blood sugar testing, physical exercise, taking medicine, diet and health education, can be used as educational material. Research information shows the fact most still need information about self-management of diabetics and in the form of conventional media. Informants who use phones that are approved for Android-based self-management applications.
