Abstract

The economic growth in the agriculture sector contributes to the income of the Bangka Belitung Island Province. In the few decades, pepper production in Indonesia retains its position as one of the biggest producers in the world. However, pepper production in the province goes down. Consequently, the income of pepper farmers reduces. Understanding the farmers' demographic and their perception of the technology acceptance model will help policymakers provide the best empowerment program and agricultural support program to uplift their welfare. The study aims to understand the socio-economic profile and the perception of pepper farmers towards the technology acceptance model using information technology in pepper farming activity. The data collection process was conducted from August to November 2019. Structured questionnaires and face-to-face data collection methods were applied to earn the primary data from 100 pepper smallholders in Bangka Tengah and Bangka Selatan, Bangka Belitung Island Province. Descriptive analysis was used to identify the respondents' profiles and explain their skills and awareness to adopt information technology in their farming activity. The study revealed that most of the pepper farmers were in the average age of 45 years old, held elementary school level, received income of about 5.7 million, was experienced farmers with 20 years of pepper farming activity, and had about 2.1 – 5 ha of land area. The majority of the pepper smallholders offered low scores to the proportion of perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use. The results benefit the policymaker and farmer in providing a better farming activity and offering the best program to empower pepper farmers.

Abstract

In the advent of Information and Communications Technology in education, competence and skills for technology-based instruction are essential for teachers. With this, there is a need to continually train and equip teachers with understanding and capabilities that will enable them to maximize the utilization of ICT in their instructional practices. Hence, this research determined the correlation of teachers' level of ICT competence towards their ICT integration practices and corroborated it to existing findings in Thailand and Vietnam. Using a descriptive-correlational design, the researchers found a link between and among variables. The chosen respondents for the study consisted of one-hundred and nineteen (119) teachers from private institutions in a district in Bulacan. Results showed that teachers exhibited competence towards ICT integration. More so, teachers highly practiced ICT integration as part of their instructional practices and strategies in teaching. Results of regression analysis of the data revealed that the six dimensions of ICT competence significantly correlated to the teachers' ICT integration practices. The pedagogical practices and competence of Filipino teachers are the same as the Thai and Vietnamese teachers towards ICT Integration. It is recommended that schools maintain teachers' competence and confidence towards ICT integration thru enhancement or faculty development programs.

Abstract

Running Text is an alternative information media its be used by the public because of affordable price and attractive appearance. Along with the times, to change the information in the current text can be done in various ways one of them online (internet). But the results of previous studies still leave a problem, namely the number of characters that can be stored is only 30 characters with a duration of change of 15 seconds and can only display the characters perfectly as many as 5 repetitions for subsequent running text will be an error. Based on the problems mentioned above, the purpose of this study is to design text that runs online that can store up to more than 50 characters and find out the cause of errors that occurred in previous studies. In this paper used in the demonstration application of the results of trials that have been carried out is known that the text running online designed this study can accommodate more than 60 characters and errors that occur in the text running the previous study because the capacity of the Arduino uno 328 RAM is not suitable for operation The text goes online.

Abstract

One of the technological developments in the transportation sector that we can encounter today is the parking service system. Currently the parking area in a building has started to use an automatic system in its operation, but the use of parking lots is still constrained or it is difficult to find an empty parking space around the parking area so it is less efficient and takes a long time to park the vehicle. This research was conducted to design and create a parking information system that can be identified by parking users who want to park their vehicles and monitor the parking area before entering the parking area. To see the availability of parking spaces before entering the parking area, you can monitor them via a Smartphone using a web-based application.

Abstract

Children are born without being able to choose a number of factors that are attached to them. This is in fact unfair to him in supporting his future. HOI exists to calculate a number of factors that cause imbalance and how much inequality should be reallocated. The usage of cellphone has covered 63.86 percent. The inequality that must be reallocated is 8.76 percent. Per capita income and residence are the dominant influencing factors. In the case of cellphone ownership, the coverage was still 33.12 percent, with an inequality reallocation of 17.05 percent. Per capita income and residence are the dominant factors. Access coverage on new computers reached 17.35 percent with reallocation of inequalities reaching 28.87 percent. Per capita income, residence and certificate of household head are the dominant factors. Meanwhile internet access has covered 35.02 percent with inequality reallocation reaching 17.85 percent. Per capita income, residence and certificate of household head are the most dominant things. An understanding of reality is very important in taking online policies against children that happen to be implemented during the Covid-19 period and possibly afterward.
