Abstract

Tracer Study today now required to become an official activity carried out by the entire campus in Indonesia to carry out supervision of all activities of the alumni. Observations on the date of graduation from college, a long wait after getting a job for the first time, information about the location currently occupied jobs, wages earned, as well as the input to the campus about the demands of jobs.Information systems are made with the integration between the use of web media that can later be used by the Alumni to update the data itself, as well as media use SMS Gateway which will provide another convenience for the Alumni to give her information to the college with the last condition.Information systems design and integration of web based and sms gateway is started from the analysis of the system to be constructed, database and relational database design that required, the design of interfaces for the integration of the two media are created, and testing sistem to be use, using a blackbox test and alpha test for completeness of the information that will provide.Login and password on a web media for Alumni will be given after a student to register using SMS Gateway. With the mobile phone-based registration is also ultimately to be a connectivity campus with Alumni, information about the alumni meeting, current information about the college and job information to the alumni who did not get a job or wanting to to move a new job.

Abstract

Simperti has been used for about more than 10 years at the bandar lampung university, but the system has’nt been done with the developing which it must be followed the bussiness need in UBL. Sometimes it arises the problem that give obstacles which will give impact to UBL’s academy performance, the management has not been taking any actions to improve the simperti’s performance, especially in terms of user satisfaction that indicate which parts need to be improved to meet the needs of the user, because it has not been done an analysis of the feasibility of the system in terms of the end user.Several models have been built to analyze and understand the factors that influence the acceptance of the use of computer technology, one of them is model developed by doll and torkzadeh(1998), the purpose of this research is to apply the model of end user computing satisfaction in evaluating the higher education information system (SIMPERTI) bandar lampung university. So that evaluation results obtained by simperti based on EUCS dimension, content, accuracy, format, ease of user, topical, system speed, reliability.

Abstract

Abstract: One of the ways to promote the International standard schools’ teacher professionalism was to carry out weekly workshops on material development based on curriculum pathways of the National Plus High Schools using the Information Technology (IT) facilities. This research developed teacher-made materials for the X grade. The materials were graded: narrative, recount, news item, descriptive, ranging from 250 to 500 words. The materials were then tried out in a Classroom Action Research (CAR) at eight classes of X grades. Based on previous research, teachers’ preferences are made in line with the students’ choice of issues to be discussed. It aimed at knowing the feasibility of the materials, the students’ preference of exercises and students’ level of competencies of each class related to the understanding of the units. Results of the questionnaires showed that most of the materials were understood and liked by the students. Thus, professionalism was seen during the process of the CAR.

Abstract

Information and Language for Effective Communication (ILEC) is a language teaching approach emphasizing learners’ extensive exposure in different language communicative sources. In ILEC, the language learners will first receive instructions of ILEC principles and application. Afterwards, they will receive autonomous, direct, purposeful, and intensive Input Exposure in particular source/s of information. This will be followed by an Output exposure, in which language learners are engaged in classroom actual discussion in English, analyzing information they have collected before. This article investigates the gradual development of learners’ speaking fluency after undergoing autonomous exposure, which the author used as an effective English teaching innovation for the multi-level second language learners.

Abstract

The core of search engine is information retrieval technique. Using information retrieval system backs more retrieval results, some of them more relevant than other, and some is not relevant. While using search engine to retrieve information has grown very substantially, there remain problems with the information retrieval systems. The interface of the systems does not help them to perceive the precision of these results. It is therefore not surprising that graphical visualizations have been employed in search engines to assist users. The main objective of Internet users is to find the required information with high efficiency and effectiveness. In this paper we present brief sides of information visualization's role in enhancing web information retrieval system as in some of its techniques such as tree view, title view, map view, bubble view and cloud view and its tools such as highlighting and Colored Query Result.
