Abstract

3D modelling of buildings in Google Earth in Batam city, Indonesia is very important for knowledge about facility, infrastructure, and others.Three-dimensional (3D) visualisations are an interesting method for representing model outcomes. This research In Tunjuk island with coordinate, at Latitude: 0.984123°, and Longitude: 104.225606°, with technical terms, there are two alternative routes for implementation, and they both share the same starting stage. In (Figure 5) visible visual measurements of the master plan that has been made has a length 141.99 metre and width 54.25 metre with location at Latitude 0.984593° and Longitude 104.228073°. In (Figure 5) visible visual measurements of the master plan that has been made has a length 92.96 metre and width 135.46 metre with location at Latitude 0.984593° and Longitude 104.228073°. This paper presented a rapid visualisation tool for supporting the joint decision making in evaluation of design/renewal proposals in Batam City, Tunjuk Island, Indonesia. 3D building using Google Earth (GE) and combaining Geographic Information System (GIS) system be done officially on a sampling or auditing basis by a professional body or by researchers, or it could be done by volunteers and user groups.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that vulnerable to land and forest fires danger. This is not out of the presence of peatland in Indonesia is quite wide, which are mostly located in Sumatara and Kalimantan. The nature of peatlands are capable to store water in large quantities, but the surface dries quickly and become flammable during the dry season. This research aims to perform mapping areas that vulnerable to land and forest fires danger based on the physical parameters. Based on the results obtained can be used as the basis for develop land and forest fires early warning system in Indonesia. This research use GIS (Geographic Information System) for processing mapping of physical parameters which consists of Land Use Map, Topography Map and Soil Map in Sumatra and Kalimantan to get the forest and land fires danger map. The results of the mapping areas that vulnerable to forest and land fire based on the physical parameters resulting from this study have uniform patterns with the distribution and density of hotspots in the Sumatra and Kalimantan over the last 10 years (2006-2015). This is reinforced by the result of mapping accuracy test, where the percentage number of hotspots during the last 10 years both in Sumatera and Kalimantan area which is exactly vulnerable up to very vulnerable to land and forest fires danger by 74%.

Abstract

Information on the value of land in Indonesia is still very minimal and difficult to be known by the public, particularly in the area of Bengkong, it also results in the presence of new activity for land speculators who want to grab a great adventage in providing price and land value pricing-related information. The purpose of this research are to create the value land zone map (VLZ) that illustrates the value of land is relatively the same as delivering lines and different colors on each value owned and accompanied the factors whisch affected it, as well as presenting a price comparison between the village and the land on map in the form of the web. Spatial analysis and AHP can be used for weighting for the most influential parameters and has no effect, so that the AHP can be useful to assist in decision making. VLZ obtained by observation in the field using a questionnaire and interview against the respondent. Observation and interviews done with the technique of sampling purposisive namely the selection of the sample with the groups in the number of smallest unit of score. Samples taken as many as 25 in order to achieve an accurate data. The value of the acquired land price is the current value of land prices. The result of the research in the form of web map VLZ with 6 classification of land price, the prices that Bengkong area concertrated settlement areas as Rp 3.500.000/sqm for the land prices are the highest in the village of Sadai and Rp 327.000/sqm for the lowest land price was in the village of Tanjung Buntung.

Abstract

Travel routing is vital for efficient delivery of public and private services and the movement of people and goods. In Ghana, the major nature of travel routing is through the ‘trotro’ system. The trotro system uses an automobile to move people and goods along a prescribed travel route, with locally known stops where people get on and off the vehicle. The trotro system is significant because Ghana's road network and street addressing are imperfectly mapped. Thus, this paper critically evaluates the research challenges and opportunities for the development of an integrated trotro geographic addressing system. The widespread trotro address assignment and the availability of geolocation technology on mobile phones, make the integrated trotro geographic addressing framework an inexpensive and a comprehensive approach. The key research questions that need investigation for the development of such an integrated geographic addressing system are identified, together with a critical review of the problem, and its research challenges and prospects.

Abstract

Mangrove mapping is done with remote sensing technology using high-resolution image data. Application and information are then presented in web form. This study aims to map the mangrove distribution in Riau Islands, Indonesia. Based on the analysis, from the research data obtained the total area of mangrove in Riau Islands in 2011 and 2017 amounted to 71,504.83 Ha and 64,218.90 Ha, decreased by 7,285, 93 Ha or decreased by 10.19%. Based on the regency, the largest mangrove area in 2017 is located in Batam City of 22,964.77 Ha, then Karimun Regency (13,659,58 Ha), Lingga Regency (11,881.61 Ha), Regency of Bintan (9,701.49) Ha, Natuna Regency (2,477.16 Ha), Tanjungpinang City (1,847.65 Ha), and Anambas Regency (1,686.61 Ha). The magnitude of the widespread change (widespread reduction) occurring over the years between 2011 and 2017 by district, Natuna Regency experienced the largest reduction of 1,949.69 Ha or around 41.39%, followed by Lingga Regency of 1,947.15 Ha (14.08%), Tanjungpinang Municipality of 284.13 Ha (13.33%), Karimun Regency 1,920.93 Ha (12.33%), Anambas Regency of 195.90 Ha (10.40%), Batam City 1,094.83 Ha (4.55%) and Bintan Regency with 93.29 Ha (0, 95%). Opportunities that the pixels classified on the mangrove image are truly mangrove on the facts in the field.

Abstract

Sea level is one of ocean properties that needed to be observed. Sea level observation will give information about osean tides and tides datum. As technology became more reliable, people can develop new instrument easily. Recently, open source microcontroller “Arduino” became popular and lot of people using it to develop what we call “low-cost” instrument. But, there are several disadvantages if we build instrument directly. Simulation phase must be done before manufacture instrument. This phase will help to decrease cost and time. In this paper, we will describe the concept, algorithm, and simulation phase in manufacturing Low Cost Ocean Tides Monitoring Instrument.

Abstract

Improving community accessibility based on transport connectivity helps to address equity issues. Geographical information systems (GIS) provide useful techniques for capturing, maintaining and analyzing spatial data to defining community issues. The objective of this study is to model accessibility of community facilities using GIS based on private car, bus and train in the city area of Depok, Indonesia. The study modeling the accessibility of community facilities using Geographical information systems (GIS). A geodatabase of community facilities that includes the location of the mall, schools, hospital, mosque, and lake and also supporting data such as street and road network, the number of population, density and land use. The geodatabase covers defining community facilities and modeling accessibility by car, by bus, and by train and analyzing the social pattern. The results obtained from the spatial pattern of accessibility based on the different modes of transportation using the method of network analysis and buffering operations underlines the existence of different patterns. Car transport mode is a commonly accessible mode of community-related to land use interpretation and social issues. The conclusion is that there are differences in the spatial models at the city level in terms of the use of transportation accessibility

Abstract

This research aims to investigate clay silt reserve in brick farmer area. This research applies geoelectricity by using Schlumberger configuration conducted by doing injection of electric current with low frequency to surface of earth. Value of resistance will bring information about structure and materials across by it.Research site is in four stations and based on the geographical location in the station I at coordinate N 00 ° 35'43.7 ", E 123 ° 03'41.6" directed to east west, station 2 in coordinate N 00 ° 35'43.8 ", E 123 o 03'41.4 "directed to north south, station 3 in coordinate N 00 ° 35'42.4", E 123 ° 03'41.5 "directed to north south and station 4 in coordinate N 00 ° 35'45.4", E 123 ° 03 '42 .1 "directed to south north. Research finding reveals that depth or density of clay silt ie in S1 is 8 m, in S2 is 2.5 m, in S3 is 7 m while in S4 is 8,5 m. Density in S2 is the thinnest is the river thinnest gravel and sand are found there. Then, based on the four points after straight line is drawn, it shapes geometry which makes the volume of clay silt reserve can be calculated. And based on finding of measurement and calculation, it obtains volume of clay silt reserve in the village of Dulohupa for 15000 m3.
