Abstract

Abstract: The researcher raises two questions of research, they are: (1) how does the Writing lecturer implement Pow-Tree strategy in teaching writing subject at English department in Madura University, (2) how does students' progress in writing. This research is descriptive qualitative research. There are three research instruments are used to collect the data needed, they are: observation, interview, and, documents. The subject of this research are 11 students of four semester at English Department in Madura University. Based on the research analysis result in implementing strategy of Pow-Tree in three phases of teaching writing. This strategy was implemented in the second phase-whilst phase. There are seven steps in implementing this strategy in the writing subject. The lecturer was demanded to use real example that related with the students’ daily life experienced. This strategy was success in gaining students interest in writing paragraph. The students as the subject of this research said that this helped them to organize their paragraph writing compose. Keywords: Pow-tree Strategy, Student Interest, Writing Abstrak: Penelitian bertujuan untuk menjawab dua pertanyaan, yaitu (1) bagaimana penerapan strategi Pow-Tree pada mata kuliah Menulis pada jurusan Pendidikan Bahas Inggris yang dilakukan oleh dosen di Universitas Madura (2) bagaimana kemajuan siswa dalam menulis. Untuk menjawab pertanyaan ini peneliti menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Ada tiga jenis instrument yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data, yaitu: observasi, wawancara, dokumen. Penelitian ini menggunakan 11 orang mahasiswa semester empat pendikan Bahasa Inggris di Universitas Madura. Setelah menganalisis data dimana penerapan strategi Pow-Tree digunakan dalam tiga tahapan pembelajaran. Strategi ini diterapkan pada tahapan inti pembelajaran dengan menggunakan tujuh langkah pembelajaran. Dosen menerapkan strategi ini dengan menggunakan contoh yang berkaitan langsung dengan kehidupan sehari-hari yang dihadapi oleh mahasiswa. Dengan strategi ini mahasiswa lebih bisa focus dalam penggorganisasian karangan dalam bentuk paragraph.

Abstract

The type of research used was Pre-eksperimental Design and the design form is One-Shot Case Study. The sample used in this study was class VIII E students consisting of 29 students taken by purposive sampling technique, namely sampling techniques with certain considerations. The results of observations showed that students were active in learning using the 7E Learning Cycle model with an average of 74,36% with active category. Student learning outcomes had a classical completeness value of 68% so that student learning outcomes were not completed because it was less than 75%. The learning indicators obtained classical completeness values of 42,85% with incomplete categories. While the students positive response to learning using the 7E Leaning Cycle got to 100%. It could be cocluded that the 7E Learning Cycle learning model was less effective for Vibration and Wave material.ibe students responses to the learning using the Learning Cycle 7E learning model. Abstract

This research is motivated student difficulties in understanding the material Atoms, Molecules and Ions. This development research aims to develop learning media material Prezi on Atomic, Molecular and Ion class VIII as a viable learning medium. Feasibility study media developed Prezi is seen based on the validity, practicality and effectiveness. This development research using ADDIE development model that includes phases: Analyze, Design, Development, Implement and Evaluate. The results showed that the development of instructional media Prezi on material Atoms, molecules and ions get an average score of 3.76 with very valid category. implementation of instructional media use Prezi achieved a score of 92.94% and a positive response as much as 97.13% categorized as very practical. Results posttest students demonstrate mastery of students reached 86.21 and mastery learning indicator reached 85.42 categorized as very effective. Based on these results it can be concluded that the instructional media material Prezi on Atomic, Molecular and Ion fit for use as a medium of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh data tentang pengaruh media “Bontang Dongeng” terhadap minat menggosok gigi anak. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah anak usia dini sebanyak 32 orang anak, dengan desain penelitian yang menggunakan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis yang dilakukan terhadap data pretest dan post-test dengan menggunakan uji wilcoxon signed ranks test diketahui z-score sebesar -4.029 dengan taraf signifikansi 0.000. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara dan posttest. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa media “Bontang Dongeng” berpengaruh terhadap minat menggosok gigi anak usia dini. Abstract: This study aims to obtain data about the influence of the media "Bontang Dongeng" on the interests of brushing children's teeth. Subjects in this study were 32 early children, with a research design using One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Based on the results of the analysis conducted on the pretest and post-test data using the Wilcoxon test, the z-score rank test was -4.029 with a significance level of 0,000. Between and posttest. It can be concluded that the media "Bontang Dongeng" opposes the interest in brushing teeth of early childhoood.

Abstract

Abstract: The general objective of this study is to determine the feasibility of Student Worksheets (LKPD) that are suitable for use in learning, while the specific purpose is to describe the validity of LKPD, the practicality of LKPD, and the effectiveness of LKPD. This research is a development study using the ADDIE development model. The subjects of Islamic character-based LKPD trials in this study were students of SMA Negeri 2 Kotabaru. The data of this study were obtained through validation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires, and learning achievement tests. The results of the teaching material development research show that: (1) the validation of LKPD based on Islamic characters is seen from the aspect of content and appearance with values ​​of 81.20% and 80.65%, (2) the effectiveness of Islamic character-based LKPD seen from the calculation of N-gain scores namely 0.82 which is categorized high, (3) practicality of Islamic character-based LKPD seen from the responses of students and teachers with an average score of 3.41 in practical categories. The conclusion of this study is that Islamic character-based LKPD in physics subject is suitable for use in learning and can improve student learning outcomes. Abstract

This paper explains the differences in learning outcomes using e-learning using conventional methods and also to investigate the effectiveness level of e-learning as science learning media. The class using Edmodo platform based e-learning and the other class using conventional methods. The research conducted in Mechanics lecture at IAIN Salatiga on Newton’s Laws of motion. The pretest-posttest design is used in data collecting. Data processing and analyzing were done by SPSS 22.0. The data analysis technique used was the t-test to know differences in learning outcomes and the N-gain test to investigate the learning effectiveness. The analyses represent that there are differences in learning outcomes between the e-learning class and the conventional class that can be known from the results of the t-test, which produce significance value 0,000. This value is less than 0.05. The N-gain test results in an average N-gain value of 72.8% for e-learning class and 49.8% for the conventional class. It means that e-learning based on the edmodo platform is quite effective in use compared to conventional learning. Abstrak: Paper ini membandingkan dan memaparkan antara hasil belajar menggunakan e-learning dengan pembelajaran konvensional (ceramah) dan juga menyelidiki tingkat keefektifan e-learning pada pembelajaran IPA. Dua kelas digunakan pada penelitian, satu kelas menggunakan pembelajaran e-learning berbasis platform edmodo dan kelas lainnya menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di IAIN Salatiga pada perkuliahan Mekanika pada materi Hukum Newton tentang gerak. Penelitian menggunakan pretest-posttest design. Data yang diperoleh pada penelitian dianalisis menggunakan SPSS 22.0 dengan uji-t dan uji N-gain. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar antara pembelajaran e-learning dengan pembelajaran konvensional memiliki perbedaan, yang dapat dilihat dari uji-t dengan nilai kebenaran 0,000 lebih kecil dari 0,05. Sedangkan uji N-gain menunjukkan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 72,8% untuk pembelajaran e-learning berbasis platform edmodo, 49,8% untuk pembelajaran konvensional, artinya pembelajaran dengan edmodo cukup efektif digunakan dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional.
