Abstract

This paper focused on the identification reservoir use petrophysical rock typing approach with pore geometry and structure (PGS) method. The identification of the type and composition of rock types, can obtain comprehensive understanding of geological aspects such as diagenesis and reservoir properties. Porosity and permeability data of the 113 core plug, which 13 have mercury injection capillary pressure (MICP) data, 48 thin sections from 3 wells are used. Facies, facies association and diagenetic history analyses are performed to understand the influence of facies, depositional environments and diagenesis to the development of petrophysical rock types (PRT). Packstone with larger foram, red algae, mollusks, and corals dominate the wells that have thin section. Diagenesis occur from marine until burial stage. Secondary porosity caused by dissolution on vadose stage. Keyword: Pore geometry and structure

Abstract

Nuts have long been known as a complementary source of protein with whole grains, such as rice and wheat. One of the many types of nuts that are widely available are green beans. Utilization of waste such as coconut water and rice washing water as an additional substance of the plant fertilizer needs to be improved given the high levels of nutrients that can be beneficial to the plant. This study aims to analyze the protein in wheat sprouts green beans (Phaseolus aureus L.) that germinated using the Water, Rice Washing Water and Coconut Water. Wheat sprouts green beans were analyzed qualitatively with the ninhydrin test, test Millon, and biuret test, then quantitatively analyzed by the Kjeldahl method includes the destruction process, distillation and titration. The results showed that Content of protein in wheat sprouts for wheat germination using water 28,50% w/w, protein content in wheat germination using washed rice water 31,19% w/w , and protein content in wheat germination using coconut water 32,06% w/w. The highest protein contained in wheat germ on the germination use coconut water 32,06% w/w.

Abstract

Decreasing of energy consumption for buildings has become a common issue in many countries. This makes rising in the importance of having an effort to conserve the energy use for consumption. Audit energy is a starting point to have the conservation energy effort. With audit energy, the energy consumption pattern of a system could be achieved and the scheme for decreasing energy consumption could be drawn. Higher education institution should be the agent to implement the energy conservation in society. This paper is aim to have energy audit and energy consumption pattern in ITERA. With the result, a scheme for energy consumption in ITERA will be presented. This scheme later will have impact on ITERA’s budget. In order to have this scheme, electrical energy consumption in every building in ITERA will be surveyed. Beside electrical energy, temperature and relative humidity in every room building will be measured. Secondary data as in building area and room schedule will be collected. This data will be analyzed and the expected data, that is the scheme for energy consumption decreasing will be recommended.

Abstract

Crisis period of Raung Volcano, located in East of Java, Indonesia, was started in November 2014. The seismicity of Raung Volcano was dominated by volcanic tremor. Volcanic tremor can be related with internal process of a volcano and can be a fruitful tool to understand the physical process inside the volcano. The intensity of tremor event in early crisis period is low but increases quickly then followed by the continuous tremor in the next month, December 2014. The dominant frequency of Raung volcano has range 1 ± 0,2 Hz. We suggest that there are two resonators exciting tremor signal based on the number of peaks in Raung’s tremor spectrum.

Abstract

Phaleria (Phaleria macrocarpa Boerl.) contains flavonoids with antioxidants to prevent free radical that can cause cancer. This study aimed to determine the effect of drying temperature in spray dryer on the physical properties and antioxidant activity of the tablet from mahkota dewa fruit extract. Extraction process was performed by percolation technique with ethanol 70%. Extracts were made into powder using a spray dryer with a variation of drying temperature. The tablets were produced by direct compression method then the physical properties of powder, tablets physical properties and antioxidant activity were tested. Based on the results, the tablet with drying temperature of 70°C produced 6.9 ± 0.52 kg hardness, 7.38 ± 0.21 minutes disintegration time and 6.80 ± 2.85 %EDA. Tablet with drying temperature of 90°C produced 7.55 ± 0.35 kg hardness, 7.37 ± 0.11 minutes disintegration time, and 3.68 ± 0.73 %EDA. Tablet with drying temperature of 110°C produced 8.33 ± 0.21 kg hardness, 8.49 ± 0.08 minutes disintegration time, and 1.84 ± 0.87 %EDA. The results of this research showed that the increasingly of spray dryer temperature effect on the higher of tablet hardness and disintegration time, also decrease the anti oxcidant activity (p < 0.05).
