Abstract

Moked fish is one of the processed products that can be used as raw material for processing together with the use of combinations and chemicals from fuel  combustion.  This research is to obtain the best time in the process of curing skipjack (Katsowonus pelamis) so that it can produce smoked fish meat with good quality.  The  purpose  of  this  study  was  to  determine  how  long  the  storing  capacity  of  smoked  skipjack  meat  and  its quality.  This study uses microbiological and organoleptic testing, namely to find out the color, taste, texture, aroma,  smell  by  using  statistical  analysis. Based  on  the  results  of  the  organoleptic  test  analysis  on  smoked skipjack meat on color, taste, aroma, appearance, and texture of the five treatments, the smoked fish products can  still  be  accepted  by  the  panelists  while  for  the  2nd  and  3rd day,  fish  meat  which  is  stored  seen  from  the quality  and  quality  and  taste  of  smoked  fish  has  been  contaminated  with  fungi  and  bacteria  on  the  day 4,5,6,7,8, and the 9th can not be consumed anymore, the temperature used for smoked smoked fish is 80-110 oC whereas storage in 4oC freerer and storage of smoked fish for 9 days. Microbiological testing parameters with the results of testing the Total Plate Number (ALT) for samples of smoked skipjack with three analyzes get the first sample with a small value of 31,508 while the second sample with a value of 32,905 and the third one is 35,801 so the small battery is the first sample.

Abstract

Disorders due to iodine deficiency (GAKI) are very serious nutrit ional problems, because they affect the survival and quality of human resources.  The effect that is well known to people due to lack of iodine is goiter, suffering from mental disability, namely midget, mute, deafness, and mental disorders. Central Maluku Regency has a very high IDD prevalence rate, which is 33.39%. The strategy is to reduce the search for local food  alternatives  such  as  seaweed.  Seaweed  contains  high  iodine  and  can  be  consumed  to  prevent  iodine deficiency.  Central  Maluku  Regency  has  abundant  and  high  quality  seaweed,  but  the  level  of  consumption directly by the people as food is still low, thus it is necessary to develop food technology that utilizes seaweed to produce snack / snack products such as cookies. Cookies are generally made from raw flour but can be replaced by  using  sago  flour  which  is  rich  in  carbohydrates  (starch).  The  purpose  of  this  study  was  to  determine  the effect of the type and concentration of seaweed in sago cookies on iodine levels of rats (Rattus norvegicus). The results  showed  that  rats  given  iodine  standard  rations  had  iodine  levels  with  moderate  deficiency,  and  mice given adequate iodine ration had normal iodine levels. The results also showed that the administration of ration cookies containing Sargassum crassifolium 20%, 30%, and 40%, as well as Eucheuma cottonii 30% and 40% could increase rat iodine levels to be optimal. Hypothesis test results showed that the treatment of seaweed type and concentration in the ration of cookies had a significant effect on rat iodine levels. The interaction of types of Sargassum crassifolium 40% was more influential in increasing rat iodine levels. Based on the results of this study it is recommended: Cultivation needs to be developed especially on the types of Eucheuma cottonii and Sargassum crassifoliumin the Central Maluku Regency.Disorders due to iodine deficiency (GAKI) are very serious nutritional problems, because they affectthe survival and quality of human resources. Abstract

Nutmeg is one of the mainstay potential export commodities of the North Maluku regional government, as a source of economic growth and regional income. To be able to maintain and enhance the role of the processing industry sector in national development, efforts are needed to determine the economic value of processed products. This study aims to analyze the processing of organic nutmeg at Galela Jaya Home Industry in Dokulamo Village, North Halmahera Regency. Analyzing financially organic nutmeg at Galela Jaya Home Industry in Dokulamo Village, North Halmahera Regency, using investment feasibility criteria, namely NPV, B/C ratio, IRR, PBP and  qualitatively using seed processing and nutmeg mace.  Based on the results of the analysis  it  can be said that the seed processing and nutmeg business carried out by the Galela Jaya Home Industry is feasible because it can provide benefits to the company, from the results of the analysis of financial feasibility at an interest rate of 9%, NPV is Rp. The amount of IDR 1 will provide a benefit of IDR 5%. The value of IRR is obtained at a value of Rp 115.16%, and the importance of the criteria for the investment return period (Playback Period) is obtained at Galela Jaya Home Industry for about 1 year.Nutmeg is one of the mainstay potential export commodities of the North Maluku regionalgovernment, as a source of economic growth and regional income. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk mengkaji pengaruh interaksi antara pemberian jarak tanam dan dosis bokashi kotoran sapi terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang hijau. Selain itu untuk mengkaji pengaruh jarak tanam dan dosis bokashi kotoran sapi secara mandiri yang memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi kacang hijau terbaik. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan di Desa Labone Kecamatan Lasalepa Kabupaten Muna Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara, berada pada ketinggian 70 meter di atas permukaan laut.  Penelitian ini berlangsung selama empat bulan yaitu mulai bulan Nopember 2017 sampai dengan bulan Maret 2018. Penelitan ini disusun berdasarkan Rancangam Acak Kelompok  (RAK) dengan pola Faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor.  Faktor pertama adalah jarak tanam (J) yang terdiri atas empat level yaitu jarak tanam 30x20 cm (J1), jarak tanam   30x30  cm (J2), dan jarak tanam 40x30 cm (J3). Faktor ke dua adalah dosis bokashi kotoran sapi (B) yang terdiri atas tiga level perlakuan yaitu tanpa bokashi kotoran sapi (B0), bokashi kotoran sapi dengan dosis 5 ton ha-1 (B1), dan bokashi kotoran sapi dengan dosis 10 ton ha-1 (B2).  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interkasi antara jarak tanam dan dosis bokashi kotoran sapi berpengaruh tidak nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang tetapi berpengaruh nyata terhadap jumlah polong yang terbentuk, berat 1000 biji kering dan produksi. Perlakuan jarak tanam 30x40 cm (J3) dan dosis bokashi kotoran sapi 10 ton ha-1  (B2) secara mandiri berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah polong yang terbentuk, berat 1000 biji kering dan produksi. Perlakuan jarak tanam 30 x 40 cm (J3) dan dosis bokashi kotoran sapi 10 ton ha-1  (B2) memberikan pertumbuhan dan produksi  kacang hijau  yang terbaik dengan rata-rata produksi biji kering  masing masing  mencapai  2,65 ton  ha-1 dan 3,52 ton  ha-1.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui nilai indeks keanekaragaman jenis-jenis fungi ektomikoriza di bawah tegakan Pinus merkusii di Desa Matarawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei yaitu secara sensus. Fungi ektomikoriza yang ditemukan di lokasi I yaitu Inocybe sp. 1, Inocybe sp. 2, Inocybe sp. 3, Inocybe sp. 4, dan Russula sp. 1. Fungi ektomikoriza yang hanya dapat ditemukan di Desa Matarawa lokasi II yaitu Inocybe sp. 5, Russula sp. 2 dan Amanita sp. 1. Fungi ektomikoriza yang hanya dapat ditemukan di Desa Matarawa lokasi III yaitu Amanita sp.2. Terdapat perbedaan nilai indeks keanekaragaman di ketiga lokasi penelitian, lokasi I yaitu 1,209, lokasi II yaitu 0,765, sedangkan nilai 0,00 berasal dari lokasi III. Nilai yang ada menunjukkan nilai yang rendah dan sangat rendah.

Abstract

Jam is part of one of the food ingredients that tastes very sweet and can be made from various types of fruits, such as banana, pineapple, apple, strawberry, blueberry, apricot and grape jams. The sweet taste is due to the addition of white crystalline sugar in the product which shows its characteristic as jam. Various opinions of experts have stated that jam can be made from various kinds of fruit but no one has mentioned tubers or legumes or secondary crops. One of the most possible palawija plants is peanuts which have the potential to be used as ingredients for jam production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in sugar concentration on the quality of peanut butter, especially on organoleptic parameters and is expected to provide new information about differences in sugar concentrations in peanut butter. This study used an experimental method, Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of one factor with 5 (five) treatments and 3 (three) replications, so that there were 15 treatment units. Parameters observed include analysis of organoleptic properties of jam products such as color, taste, aroma and texture.

Abstract

Keanekaragaman jenis ikan merupakan sumberdaya perairan yang dapat digali terutama jenis-jenis komoditi ekonomi yang bermanfaat bagi kehidupan manusia karena diperairan umum khususnya didanau hidup berbagai jenis ikan yang merupakan potensi alam yang dapat dimanfaatkan dan sangat potensial untuk dikembangkan terutama melalui usaha budidaya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis ikan yang tertangkap di danau Burung dan danau Hanjalutung, kematangan gonad, and hasil tangkapan per satuan usaha penangkapan, menggunakan jarring insang tetap.  Ikan yang tertangkap di Danau Burung dan danau Hanjalutung  dari hasil pengambilan sampel ikan sebanyak 2 (dua) kali sampling pada setiap danau. Tercatat  18 (delapanbelas) spesies ikan yang tergolong dalam 9 (sembilan) famili dengan kelimpahan 323 (tiga ratus duapuluh tiga). Dapat disimpulkan Jaring insang tetap (set gill net ) merupakan alat tangkap yang efektif karena penangkapan memiliki variasi yang tinggi. Catch Per Unit Effort (CPUE) tertinggi ada pada danau Burung yaitu 0,36 Kg / trip.  Nilai TKG ikan yang tertangkap pada pagi  lebih tinggi dari nilai TKG ikan yang tertangkap pada sore. Luciosoma trinema, Cyptopterus micronema, dan Cyclocheilicthys janthochir mewakili spesies ikan yang memiliki panjang tubuh terbesar.
