Abstract

Knowledge creation is one of the part of knowledge management that is enable for organizations to establish their competitive advantage. In the process of knowledge creation, there is the knowledge sharing activities. These activities will involve knowledge providers. They are the givers and the receivers. Some literatures focus on the givers only and forget about the receivers. This article discusses about how importance the role of knowledge receiver in the terms of knowledge creation. We use DIKW model in Knowledge Management for the discussion.

Abstract

This research proposes a leaf identification system with features fusion of leafmorphology, convex hulls (shape features) and 𝐿𝐵𝑃𝑃,𝑅 𝑟𝑖𝑢2 (texture features). Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) is used as classifier. The experimental results of leaf identification system, average accuracy of combining all the features is 87.5%. Accuracy by combining three features higher than using morphological features (58.125%) or texture features (68.125%). In this research showed that the texture features more influence than morphological features for recognition of plants.

Abstract

This research is meant to identify level of unemployment based on education background that is hold each community that has graduated from university or college. The total number of graduates that graduated in each university is significant compare to available work fields, that resulted in high level of competition which made companies also set high standard in recruitment. Algorithm K-means with clustering technique can identify total population for graduates according to their root of education, age, job and available work fields. This data is produced qualitative gradually to fulfill data research needs. Therefore, it is expected that from this research can come as recommendation to each candidate or potential students in takingsteps for the future and give training in accordance with their study field that graduate student or potential graduate student holds.

Abstract

XYZ company is a manufacturing company which engages in the field of computer peripheral. Information system in this company are not yet integrated with each other which is computerized. ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is a system that is built to unite all departments and functions that exist in a company into an integrated system. In the ERP contained a particular module which regulate and control the flow of goods, energy, information and other resources such as products, services, and people from the source of production to the market namely the logistics. The logistics also includes the integration of information, transportation, inventory, and warehousing. The purpose of this research is to produce a prototype design of the logistics delivery system implementation in manufacturing companies using Netbeans 8.0 software with the Java programming language and MySQL database. The method used is a model rapid prototyping is the development model by testing against a  working model of an application through the interaction process to meet the needs of users. The results from this research is a prototype design of the logistics delivery system in order to allow a user to see the flow of freight.

Abstract

Scrum is an agile framework designed for simplicity to produce software incrementally and iteratively involving collaboration between a team of developers and consumers. PT. XYZ has implemented Scrum since 2012, but there are problems in the implementation that projects dont achieve the time target of software development timeline. This research examines the maturity level of project management of software development that implement Scrum frameworks with quantitative research methodology using Scrum Maturity Model. Data were collected through questionnaires to the Scrum Master on software development projects that have implemented Scrum work. The conclusion from this research is PT. XYZ reached maturity level 2 Scrum Maturity Model. Recommendations for improvement are given to improve processes to achieve maturity level 3, 4, and 5

Abstract

Information and communication technology (ICT) has evolved. The amount of benefits making ICT as needs as well as the requirements for the organization in running the business. ClinicXYZ is currently experiencing very rapid progress. However, clinical progress brings its own problems. One is the increasing number of vehicles and the growing density of activity in the limited parking lot. XYZ Clinic parking lot currently managed manually, so there are still many problems that arise. Therefore, there are needs for a new system that could be the solution of the existing problems. Parking Information System Clinic XYZ is built using the Java programming language and MySQL. The system can handle the process of managing the parking attendant, parking transactions both in and out of vehicles as well as printing ticket and searching of old transaction data.
