Abstract

The quality of Work Life is one of effort that can be implemented by the company to increase job satisfaction and productivity of employees. Nowadays, employees in Indonesia dominated by Generation X and Y. The respondents of this study are alumni of Economic and Management Faculty of IPB. The objectives of this study are to identify the perception of Generation X and Y towards factors of Quality of Work Life and to formulate a strategy to increase Quality of Work Life based on perceptions of Generation X and Y. The source of primary data obtained by questionnaire method and secondary data obtained by study of literature. This research was using descriptive analysis method, Pairwise Comparison Method, and The House Model. The results of this study indicated 56% perception of Generation X towards factors of QWL appropriate with the theory regarding the factors QWL in Generation X and 52% perception of generation Y towards factors of QWL appropriate with the theory regarding the factors QWL in the generation Y. The strategy that becomes priorities to increase Quality of Work Life of Generation X is a safety at work, compensation, and conflict resolution. The strategy that becomes priorities to increase Quality of WorkLife of Generation Y is career development, compensation, and pride to the company. Keywords: quality of worklife, generation X Y

Abstract

The study objectives were to discover the differences between marketing relationships in companies performing marketing transactional and relational marketing for molasses product trading companies, as well as elaborating the value network conducted by molasses marketer. The data was obtained from the interview with the stakeholders who conduct relationship marketing with molasses trading company and its business partners in Indonesia. The analysis utilized Mann-Whitney test analysis and value network with holo-mapping. The results revealed that there were some differences between companies performing marketing transactional and companies performing marketing relational in terms of power distance variables, social orientation, and uncertainty avoidance. Meanwhile, there was no difference found in masculinity-femininity factor. Value network illustration by looking at the value exchanged among each stakeholder on molasses business from products and services that generate revenues. Abstract

This research was conducted in the Restaurant area of Taman Kencana Bogor Restaurant with a view to determining whether the attribute Experiential Marketing and Food Quality on Customer Satisfaction, which in the end as a determinant Revisit Intention Customers in Region Restaurants Taman Kencana Bogor. The method used is a descriptive quantitative method, samples of this study were 200 respondents as the basic criteria for SEM, all the respondent collected by purposive sampling. These results indicate that the variable Experential Marketing and Food Quality has a positive and significant impact on Customer Satisfaction, as well as variable Experiential Marketing, Food Quality and Customer Satisfaction after testing has a positive and significant effect on the variable Revisit Intention. Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between locus of control and employee performance in a company in Jakarta. Using a sample of 54 employees (15 female and 39 male). This study tested the usefulness of locus of internal and external controls for explaining work performance using independent t-test. The results conclude that there is no difference in performance between employees who have a tendency to the locus of control internal with external, or in other words, the locus of control is not a factor that can explain the variation of performance. Limitations of the study and suggestions for future research are discussed. Keywords: locus of control, employee performance

Abstract

This paper discusses the economics conception of Pancasila as the strategic value of the five precepts formulated by the founders of the nation. The method in this research is library research. The result of the study is Pancasila economics has the spirit of divinity, humanity, national unity, populist and social justice. Abstract

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems have become vital strategic tools in today’s competitive business environment. Implementation of ERP systems is a highly complex process which is influenced not only by technical, but also by other factors. The purpose of this research to find out factors influencing the success of ERP implementations in companies in Jabodetabek. In this research three factors of success implementation ERP were selected on the bases of previous research that includes top management support, project management and user involvement. The results indicate that top management support and project management are key factors affecting the success of ERP implementations, while user involvement does not affect the success of ERP implementations. Top management support, project management and user involvement affect the success rate of 72.7% of ERP implementations. While the rest equal to 27.3% influenced by other variables not included in this research model. Keywords: Enterprise Resource Planning, Top management support, project management, user involvement

Abstract

This research aims at analyzing (1) the effect of vendor’s ability, benevolence, and integrity variables toward e-commerce customers’ trust in UBM; (2) the effect of vendor’s ability, benevolence, and integrity variables toward the level of e-commerce customers’ participation in Indonesia; and (3) the effect of trust variable toward level of e-commerce customers participation in UBM. This research makes use of UBM e-commerce users as research samples while using Likert scale questionnaire for data collection. Furthermore, the questionnaires are sent to as many as 200 respondents. For data analysis method, Structural Equation Model was used. Out of three predictor variables (ability, benevolence, and integrity), it is only vendor’s integrity that has a positive and significant effect on customers’ trust. On the other hand, it is only vendor’s integrity and customer’s trust that have a positive and significant effect on e-commerce customers’ participation in UBM. Abstract

This paper aims to identify the content validity techniques in the early stages of developing the questionnaire. Using the literature study, it can be concluded: first, there is no standard technique for accessing the content validity. The researchers can use a qualitative, quantitative, or mix methods. Second, the common qualitative techniques used are through in-depth interviews or FGDs with experts (logical validity) or users (face validity). Third, the common statistical techniques used in testing content validity in the last ten years is the content validity index (CVI) based on the expert agreement level on the item (i-CVI) or S-CVI on the questionnaire as a whole. Other statistical techniques such as Kappa coefficients, ANOVA, and correlation are also commonly used in the initial testing process of the questionnaire.
