Abstract

The development in the digital era also accompanies the development in the world of education. The implementation of the 2013 curriculum requires careful planning to produce quality output. This planning begins with preparing prota, promes, RPP. This study aims  to analyze thematic learning planning based on local wisdom, to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors and to describe the effort done by the school to overcome the problem. This research uses qualitative descriptive research conducted at SD Muhammadiyah I Malang, data collection techniques used, among others, observation, interview and documentation. And the results of this research shows that teachers at SD Muhammadiyah I Malang have implemented a local wisdom-based learning plan before teaching and learning activities begin. Supporting factors of quality human resources, and adequate infrastructure facilities. While the inhibiting factor is the implementation of local wisdom learning for the activities of the visit takes a long time. To overcome these problems the school provides facilities for teachers to attend seminars, training and workshop.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehend the implementation of character education with a comprehensive approach at Taman MudaJetis Elementary School Yogyakarta, to find out the obstacles in the implementation of character education with a comprehensive approach at Taman MudaJetis Elementary School Yogyakarta, and to know the solution to solve the obstacles in the implementation of character education with comprehensive approach at SD Taman MudaJetis Yogyakarta. This study uses a qualitative method. The data collecting technique uses in-depth interviewand direct observation. The steps of data analysis utilize Miles and Huberman model, which are data presentation, data reduction, and confirmation, while validity test data includes internal validity test, external validity, reliability, and objectivity.The results of this study indicate that character education applied in schools is not taught in the form of special subjects but integrated into all lessons with a comprehensive approach that includes inclusion, modelling, value facilitation, and soft skill development. The obstacles in the implementation of character education are the misused of the advancement of science and technology by learners, family and society factors and environment that does not support the learning, low teacher competence especially new teachers in implementing character values. The strategy to break the barriers in implementing character education is to form qualified and professional teachers by including teachers in professional training at local and national levels and increasing synergies between schools, families and communities.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the disciplinary cultivation in the Development of Learners course of college students majoring in Primary Teacher Education. The disciplinary cultivation is conducted through several ways, namely lecturers and students make an agreement together, lecturers become the role model, lecturers motivate and guide the students, lecturers as partners, and also lecturers give freedom to the students but limited to the rules that is governed. The method of this research uses qualitative research so that it is able to give an overview of social situation in depth. The research results describe that the methods implemented by the lecturers are successful in increasing the students’ disciplinary in the course of Development of Learners for college students majoring in Primary Teacher Education.

Abstract

Along with the advancement and the changing of times, the quality of learning process becomes a demand that must be achieved.The learning process implemented should be student centred so as to improve the quality of education. In order to achieve meaningful learning process, the scientific approach is appliedso that the learners can find their own concepts in learning by the guidance of theirteacher. The teacher only holds a role as a facilitator in learning. Along with the spiritof the governmentin applying the scientific approach in the 2013 curriculum, it is still questionable whetherthe scientific approach implementation will have an impact on improving learning outcomes or not. The documents of previous studies are used in this study. The data collection is obtained through google scholar by browsing the electronic journals. From the search results obtained, 10 research journals areanalysed further in the form of percentage (%). Based on the results of the analysis, the scientific approach is able to improve learning outcomes, ranging from the lowest 2% to the highest 34,51% with an average of 23,35%.

Abstract

This research is aimed to grasp understanding about the improvement of students' courage in speaking through show and tell activity by using media of images for the 4th grader students in Jetis 2 Public Elementary School Yogyakarta. This is an action classroom research, which has been conducted in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 3 meetings. The subject of this research is all 4th grader students of Jetis 2 Public Elementary School Yogyakarta, academic year of 2014/2015, which consists of 12 students, 6 male students and 6 female students. The data collecting techniques employed are observation and working performance by using indicator matrix of students' speaking courage, the skill of showing and telling and also the process of show and tell activities in class.In addition, this research also employs documentation technique, in the form of photos during the occurrence of the research process. The analysis technique in this research uses descriptive qualitative technique. The results of the research are presented as follow: show and tell method can improve the students' speaking courage 23,61% (formerly it was 55,38% reaching up to 78,99%), the skill of show and tell of 27,43% (from 56,25% reaching up to 83,68%) and the process show and tell is 9,03% (from 72,91% reaching up to 81,94%).

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the enhancement of students’ interest and science learning outcomes of second grade students in SD Negeri Wirosaban Academic Year 2016/2017 through the implementation of cooperative learning model Think Pair Share (TPS). This is a classroom action research (PTK). The students’ interest and science learning outcomes increased in the amount of 14,82%. It can be indicated by the increase of the percentage average of students’ interest based on the questionnaire results for each cycle, for instance in the first cycle, there is an increase from 73,43% to 79,82% in Cycle II. In the pre cycles stage, the percentage of completeness is 35,71% or 10 completed students. Once given a cycle action, the percentage of science mastery increases to 60,71% or 17 completed students. Then in cycle two, there is an increased to 100% or all students experience mastery with an average value of 84,46.

Abstract

The underlying reason that triggersthe researcher to conduct this study is the lack of facilities and lack of media so that it is initiated to overcome the learning shortagein class to be an interactive learning that is not in the form of paper based learning considered to be not alive and monotonous.The problems that is analysed in this research is how do media development establish interactive learning to overcome the learning shortage by using Macromedia Flash 8 so that it is able to be a media of learning on the social subjects for students of fifth grade in primary school? The purpose of the research is to find out the steps in developing Macromedia Flash 8 to be implemented in learning process to fill out the shortage of learning in SD N 02 Mranggen, Demak. This is a research and development research. The population of the research is all students in SD N 02 Mranggen, Demak academic year of 2017/2018. The sample of the research is 33 students of fifth grade. The technique of data collection uses the scale of Likert and Guttman. The data of the research is obtained through the observation and other economic indicators. The propose future design of this research is the development of the interactive learning by utilizing the advance support of Macromedia Flash 8 that is created. According to the freedom on learning material designing for social subject, it is worthwhile to implement this learning model to fifth grade students in the second semester under the curriculum of school (KTSP Curriculum). The validation process is carried out in two ways, include validation from media experts which shows the result of 90.5% with two categories are considered to be very good and validation from material designer experts showing the result of 85 % with two categories are considered to be very good. According to the research result, it is recommended to develop and implement the interactive media by using Macromedia Flash 8 as one of the alternative media in classroom teaching and learning process.
