Abstract

This research aims to examine the effect of financial ratios on initial returnafter Initial Public Offerings (IPO) at Indonesian public companies. Samples involved 51 companies listed at Indonesia Stock Exchange from  2012 to 2013. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling method.  Multiple regression analysis method was used in this research.Result has showed that Debt to Equity Ratio (DER) has provided significant  negative effect on initial return. Higher DER value will increase uncertainty  among investors and it will diminish stock returns; hence, it also lower  returns that the investors receive. Company size (SIZE) has given  significant positive effect on initial return. Larger size of the company has  created trust among investors the company has been growing and producing a high return; meanwhile variables of Current Ratio (CR), Earning Per Share (EPS) and company age (AGE) has no effect on initial return.

Abstract

This article explains about the aspirations, obstacles and uncertainties of  youth transition from school to work using youth transition and risk society  perspective. It is more difficult for young peopleto handle the transition in the  conditions of late modernity era. They have to deal withuncertainty and  risk without certain direction of their future. As one of the consequences in the  risk society, young people are more individualize to create their own  biographical trajectories.They have to make their own plans both related to  education and work. Individualization is becoming the new social structure,  where people seek biographical solutions to systematic contradictions  embedded in late modernity. However, youth transition from school to work  still has to deal with many layers of structural obstacles. As a solution, the  state role needs to be reinforced to protect young people from risk in the future.

Abstract

The road design should apply engineering principles to meazure trafficdensity and rapidity in minimizing crash probability. The weaknesses ofaggregat mixed aspalth concrete is causing the road quality design beingreduced.Marshall test is a technical testing to find the properness of aggregate mixed asphalt concrete in case of road design costruction.  Marshall’s stability is one of experiment result to know maximum load that  will be occupied by asphalt concrete. However, to ensure the  accuration of stability point of Marshall’s is needed a Compute Method  such Neural Network to solve diversity and unlinearity accuracy problem.  Neural Network Optimization is being tested to find the best accuration  value by using Genetic Algorithm in order to increase accuration value that  result by Neural Network. The experiment had done in obtaining optimum  architecture and increase accuracy. The result of this research that is  confusion matrix has prove Neural Network accuracy before optimized by  Genetic Algorithm is 93.83% and becomes 97.37% after being optimized.  AUC has result Neural Network is 0.975 after being optimized become  0.992. It is prove that experiment estimation of Marshall’s stability by  using Neural Network method and Genetic Alogarithm is more accurate  than Individual Neural Network Method.

Abstract

Insan kamil (perfect man) is perennial issue in sufism discourses. Systematically, Ibn Arabi introduced insan kamil doctrine, and Seyyed Hossein Nasr made its modern interpretation. Nasr used term universal man as  synonim of insan kamil. Hence, The article aims to elaborate arguments of universal man doctrine in Seyyed Hossein Nasr’s thought. As Ibn Arabi, point of view's Nasr is universal man has trhee aspects: cosmological, propetics,  and inisiatic. Whoever can be universal man trought path of spiritual knowledge.

Abstract

In 2008, President SBY establishedLaw No. 14/2008 on Transparency of Public Information (UU KIP), which requires public agency to conduct a public information service and as a guarantee for citizen's right to access information. The one who plays an important role in implementing transparency of public information is government public relations (PR) agency, who is obliged to give  information to the citizen. It means that PR has an important role in  guaranteeing Indonesia's citizens a right of access to information,  promoting citizens' participation in public policy making, and implementing  the clean, transparent, and good governance. This paper  analyzes the roles of public relations in Indonesia's government regulation  (Peraturan Menteri Pendayagunaan Aparatur Negara dan  Reformasi Birokrasi Republik Indonesia No. 6/ 2014 on Public Reations  Functional and Its Credit Score). This paper analyzes whether the  government public relations has function as the public information officer  or still as the tools of government propaganda using PR's roles theory by  Broom and Dozier and government PR's goals by Baker. This research  finds that the regulation puts government PR officer as communication  technician (50%), expert prescriber (30,55%), communication facilitator  (16,66%), and problem solving facilitator (2,78%). This research finds that  the goals of government PR is to develop and protect positive  institutional images (42,2%), serve information to public (38,9%),  generate public feedback (11,92%), and persuade and win public acceptance (1,83%). The result of this research shows that even though government PR has a potential role in promoting public participation in Indonesia's new democracy, but it is still positioned as a propaganda  tools.

Abstract

The banking sector plays an important role to support economic growth. However, nowadays the banking industry is facing keen competition. The success of the bank in order to win the competition is determined by customer loyalty. One of bank that is fully aware of the high level of competition in the banking industry and the importance of customer loyalty is the Jambi Bank Branch Sungai Penuh. Among the broad factors that are able to impact customer loyalty namely banking image, customer  satisfaction and service quality. The purpose of this research is to  investigate the role of banking image and customer satisfaction as  mediator variables on the relationship between service quality and  customer loyalty. The population of this study is all customers of  consumptive loans at Jambi Bank Branch Sungai Penuh which accounted  for 371 customers. The numbers of useful samples were 193 customers by  performing proportional cluster random sampling method. In order to  conduct hypotheses development, this research performs simple, multiple  and hierarchical regression analyses by using Statistical Package for Social  Science (SPSS) version 19.0. The results of analysis display that 1) Service  quality positively and significantly impacts customer loyalty. 2)  Service quality positively and significantly impacts banking image. 3)  Service quality positively and significantly impacts customer satisfaction. 4)  Banking image and customer satisfaction positively and significantly  impact customer loyalty 5) Banking image and customer satisfaction are  found as full mediator on the relationship between service quality and  customer loyalty. The results of the study provide practical implication to  head office of Jambi Bank Branch Sungai Penuh that in order to increase  the level of customer loyalty future, it is recommended to enhancing  banking image, customer satisfaction as well as service quality.
