Abstract

Course scheduling problem belongs to the category of NP - hard (Non - deterministic polynomial - time complex). The complexity of solving course scheduling problems give an indication to the limits of the constraints to the problem. The application of evolutionary algorithms with Generation Replacement Methods on Course scheduling problem (Case Study of the University of Atma Jaya Makassar) can give an indication on the problem of scheduling constraints that limit each faklutas at Atma Jaya University, Makassar. Simulation results showed that scheduling constraints limit in any faculty at the University of Atma jaya Makassar depends on the size of the population space and the number of genes that are raised to fill the space where the population or chromosome problem complexity increases with introduction of restrictions on the scheduling of such sessions , space , semester and faculty and computational complexity of the problem requires greater resources in line with the increasing restrictions being introduced

Abstract

Learning management system, as part of higher education governance, is the process of organizing, planning and supervising the implementation of curriculum in order to achieve the learning objective (LO). PP No. 19 in 2005 and No. 32 in 2013 set the standard for higher education governance quality assurance systems where Internal Quality Assurance System is required for higher education institutions that aim to achieve continuous improvement. The main problem in implementing internal quality assurance is that to achieve continouus improvement we need an effective supervision that not only can provide data on the results of implementation bmore importantly is the data to the process itself. Generally universities has implemented a system of governance and supervision that rely on the outcome of the process but not how the process done. Meanwhile, in order to achieve continuous improvement required a monitoring and evaluation system that does not rely solely on the output but also data from process. This research aims to develop a system of governance with data and information services to the passage of the academic process, especially at the University of Atma Jaya Makassar. This study uses an objectoriented approach with UML design method by utilizing the computer network architecture for wireless and mobile technology as key technology. This research produced a system with the ability to monitor the passage of the lecturing process in realtime in order to improve monitoring, evaluation and quality processes in a structured lectures and concurrent transparent, accountable and responsive Keywords: Learning Management System, mobile architecture, continuous improvement.

Abstract

The TSP problem can resolved using Genetic Algorithms. In other previous research,crossover is one process that can be eliminated from the genetic algorithm to get better optimization. This research tried to solve TSP by using genetic algorithms without using the crossover. To improve optimization by applying the method of mutation with 2 phases. Mutation operator used the inversion mutation, exchange mutation, and insertion mutation . The results using these methods is the average error percentage of optimum distance 10%.Keywords: Travelling Salesmen Problem, Genetic Algorthim, Two Step Mutattion

Abstract

As technology advances, more and more applications are developed with the intent of making our lives easier. Communication is an important part of our everyday lives; so many technologies have been developed for this purpose. Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is a technology that is used for making both textual and vocal communication. VoIP applications are gaining popularity due to the low cost and high quality service, which is comparable to the traditional telephone service. Nowadays, Skype, which is owned by Microsoft, is the most popular VoIP service with 405 million registered users and 15 million active online users. Google Talk, owned by Google is also a popular VoIP application. This study compared the interface and usability of both these applications and found that Skype was by far the most user friendly and attractive.Keywords: User Interface Design, GoogleTalk, Skype

Abstract

Medicinal plant (toga) is a family of plants that are cultivated by families that have efficacy as a medicine to cure diseases. Area Based System is a system that is intended to provide information to a group of people who are in the area and can be associated with different types of medicinal plant that fit the types of disease spread in the area of residence RT002 /RW001. The main goal of this thesis is to develop a system for providing information on the spread of disease in a shelter residents and to develop the information to help residents provide consideration species of plants of the family in accordance with the diseases. The result of this system is the consideration of medicinal plants that are appropriate to the type of disease that is present in the residence of the citizens.Keywords: Area Based System, Information Service, Medicinal Plants.

Abstract

This paper focuses on the design of development decision support systems credit application in cooperative Universitas Atma Jaya Makassar. Where the current system is currentlyexperiencing a lot of problems in the process of verifying the pleading file members. The verification process involves a lot of data files are still in the form of paper documents sosusceptible to human error in data processing. This paper used a structured design, program PHP, MySQL as the data storage, and DB Designer as an analytical tool. Abstract

Artificial Neural Network can solve a problem based on its experience and training. The purpose of this research is analyzing the comparison of two training that is Backpropagation Training (BP) and Levenberg-Marquardt (LM) Training to determine the speed and accuracy of each training. The case that be used is the weather prediction at Makassar City which is obtained from BMKG. The advantage of BP is the runtime execution to get SSE’s value faster than LM that has difference 410.48974 ms. The advantage of LM is can obtain the smallest SSE’s value on training process than BP, that is 0.0264.Keywords: Artificial Neural Network, Levenberg-Marquardt, weather prediction, Backpropagation

Abstract

Along with the development of technological information nowadays, and many problems that occur at The General Practitioner Doctor Adrianus Riyanto’s Practice so the medical records data which used to be recorded by conventional way finally are grown into an application that is called medical records application. This application was started by analyzing the problem by interviewing the doctor, nurse, and  patient. This aplication was built by Hypertext Preprocessor language and MySQL which the output will be implemented and tested by interview process. The reachable result indicates that medical records development assist to improve productivity and efficiency work from general practitioner.

Abstract

Journalism-based application developmont of local content for the general public as a venue to accommadate to need to upload location-related news events around the domicile. Shortage on the utilization of the IP address as determining the location of visitor in determining the news obtained the reason the development of this application. The result of this research is application based journalism development local content has implemented the use of the geolocation of users on online journalism application uses the GPS feature. Geolocation data has been integrated into the structure of the application service journalism. GPS provides the coordinates of the location of the visitor so that the data can be displayed news about the location of website visitor.Keywords: journalism, local content, global positioning system
