Abstract

The use of software security metrics is one of the methods in measuring quantitatively the reliability of a software. These measures can be used in assessing resource allocation, program planning, risk assessment, and product or service selection. One of the commonly used measurements is the attack surface and vulnerability density. Both of these measurement methods have been widely used by several large technology companies, but determining the validity of software security measures remains a challenge in itself. A safety measure cannot measure all aspects of security and therefore the use of various measurement methods is required in some cases. This study aims to see the relationship between the measurement based on attack surface and vulnerability density by applying to several web servers that are placed in the demilitarized zone (DMZ) area, which is an area flanked by two or more firewalls.

Abstract

The problems being faced by the University of Atma Jaya Makassar is a system of marketing, University of Atma Jaya Makassar did not go well, resulting in a decrease of the number of prospective students each year. This study aims to model the marketing system and help the marketing division in the use of the right marketing strategy used by the University of Atma Jaya Makassar. The method used in analyzing the problems that are happening in the marketing division, namely using the method of the analysis of SWOT to know where lies the strength, weakness, opportunity and threat, and the method of analysis of STP used to determine the map segmentation marketing, target marketing and position of the Universitas Atma Jaya Makassar in the share market in South Sulawesi.

Abstract

Nowadays smart phones are essential part in people’s life. People mainly use them to access social media with Facebook as the most visited web site. Many organizations take advantage by promoting their products on Facebook by creating their organization’s page or by joining merchant groups. Nevertheless, the organizations commonly work in bussiness hours, while users/customers access their smart phones almost everytime (day and night). In addition, many organizations do not provide dedicated staff to maintain their bussiness on line. This paper study about people behaviour while they access social media and perform on line transactions.

Abstract

Information is data that has been processed into a form that has meaning for the recipient and is useful for current or future decision making. Information services that available at the University of Atma Jaya Makassar (UAJM) through the website created by the university. However, there is a problem that occurs that is the slow notification of information. Information disseminated by the university and faculty through the website is rarely accessed by students. In addition to the problems in channeling information from lecturers to students also become an problem such as the distribution of information about the assignments and the absence of lecturer. For this reason, creating an information service system that can help giving out the information quickly from lecturers and staff to students is needed. This information service system was created using the waterfall method to overcome the problem of late distribution of information to students. The waterfall method is one of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model which suggest a systematic approach and the process flows from one stage to another. The results of this study are an email based information service system where information services that have been made can facilitate students to obtain information both academic and non academic.

Abstract

Course management system developed by University of Atma Jaya Makassar is providing an environment for course interactions within the classroom. One such interaction is attendance process done by the lecturer in the classroom. In this research, a camera-based attencance system is applied to a handheld device with facial recognition algorithm. The method used in this research is to do face recognition using a camera on a tablet PC so that students who can be recognized by their faces, can be declared present and stored data in the Course Management System (STKP).

Abstract

Sentiment analysis is the classification of texts in several categories, usually positive, negative, happy or sad. In recent years, this technique has been used to analyze online product reviews, online news, general elections, disasters, stock markets, and social media, especially twitter. The results of the sentiment analysis can be used as one of the decisions making considerations. In helping to analyze the results of sentiments, visual analytics are used that can help to navigate data, compare various data sets, and explore data distribution. This research aims to analyze sentiment in Bahasa Indonesia using Tweepy and TextBlob as a python library to access and classify Tweets and with the help of visual analytics to explore and observe the distribution of Tweets based on geographical location, especially in provinces in Indonesia. In addition, this research also provides a comparison of the results of the validation of TextBlob using the Naïve Bayes and SVM algorithms with the results of each accuracy of 62.26% and 69.18% which are higher accuracy compared to SentiWordNet.

Abstract

The Coronavirus has made severe damage to the society around the world. Every aspect of human life was affected. As the result, the government propose the “new normal” policy to be applied as the new standards for regulating people in doing their activities. One of the rules within the new normal policy is each people must wear a face mask when they are in a public space. In order to enforce the rule, the implementation of TensorFlow in a face detection technology becomes one of the solutions, especially in the university environment.

Abstract

Cloud computing has existed almost at the same time as when the Internet was introduced to the public. But this term is not as popular as the Internet in many countries, for example in Indonesia. Although cloud computing has been widely used for storages and backups, there are more of its capabilities that have not been explored. This paper aims to introduce the advantages of cloud computing for business, since many small and medium enterprises can not afford to develop their own websites at their local premises. The main reasons for that condition are inadequate fund for the costs and the lack of IT staff to develop and maintain their websites. With cloud computing, those enterprises can compete on the virtual world with small costs.

Abstract

BKAM had difficulty in reporting to SIMKATMAWA, in finding data on achievements and student activities that had been carried out. The purpose of this study is to design a student activity management system to support the performance of the UAJM student bureau and design the UAJM student data structure to fit the SIMKATMAWA. The author understands the scope of the ranking, some data from SIMKATMAWA will be used as needed in UAJM student activities that have not been well recorded. Student performance data management system designed for data management that helps collect data, manage and present useful data for SIMKATMAWA, in support of student data needs within the UAJM student body. The results of the research make it easy for student affairs bureaus to get information on student activities, so that the data can be used for SIMKATMAWA reporting purposes.

Abstract

This research focuses on the utilization of Location Based Service services to find the location of the nearest workshop in Makassar. Workshop is a place to fix two-wheeled vehicles and four-wheeled and more. When damage occurs at the time of use, the vehicle owner is generally confused to find the nearest workshop. In addition, the nearest workshop may not necessarily have a good reputation so that vehicle owners prefer to enter the vehicle in the official workshop. The purpose of this research is to design an information service for customers to find the nearest service based on Location Based Service, so that later both general workshop and authorized workshops can compete to provide good service for customers. Location base service is a Service using Google's global positioning service (GPS) and cell-based location technology. In addition, the LBS consists of several components, namely mobile devices, communication networks, position components, and service and content providers. The research method uses a waterfall method consisting of the stage of analysis, design, design and implementation. The results of this study is an application that can receive requests for repair or service periodically by the owner of the vehicle to the workshop. When the repair shop receives requests for repair or maintenance, the workshop will pick up the vehicle.
