Abstract

PT. DS2 is one of the producers of household appliances, kitchen utensils, and children's toys to bottles and jerry cans, to produce 5 liters of jerry using 2 Blow Molding machines that can produce an average jerry of 6750 / plastic jerry per day. In the production process there are defects found in 5 liter jerry products. This study aims to determine the cause of defect, what factors cause defect. Method used in this research is SQC and RCA in an effort to determine the defect in the 5 liter jerry production process. From the results of research that has been done, the highest value of disability is PL bloom defect with 1686 pcs with a cumulative percentage of 41%. Based on the analysis using the control p chart that all percentages of defective pruduct are still in the control chart and declared safe.

Abstract

PT. Z is a company engaged in the plastic bag industry. The company produces plastic bags, one of which is a type of ATP 12 x 24 that is often used as plastic wrapping meatballs, sugar and others. A company is certainly required to provide the best quality on its products. To meet the needs and expectations of consumers for the quality of products, the company must improve the quality of existing products. Six sigma is a quality tool that can be used to analyze and process data to maintain or improve the quality of a product based on the process. One of the shorts used in the six sigma method is Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control ( DMAIC). This research focuses on the results of product defects produced for 5 months in 2019. Because of the process analyzed there is data of proportions that are out of control in july and november. So that the data is omitted so that the data can be controlled. The sigma production level of ATP 12 x 24 is currently at the level of 4 sigma so it is necessary to improve to reach the level of 6 sigma. Pareto diagrams and fishbone diagrams can be used as tools to analyze significant factors causing product defects. And it can be known that the causative factor that can be done repair is deflated.

Abstract

Many companies in developed countries are implementing lean manufacturing and offering significant results. However, experts argue that the concept can not only be used in large companies but also in SMEs. Some SMEs in the world have also implemented the lean concept, but there have been many failures during implementation. This is because of the lean implementation framework. Several researchers have developed specific frameworks for lean implementation in SMEs. Therefore the final objective of this study is a lean implementation framework that is suitable for SMEs in Indonesia. In this research, the first step of the literature study is to search for previous studies on google scholar, emerald, elsevier, etc. related to the lean framework. Furthermore, comparing and comparing the framework in previous research. This comparison can be a lean implementation in Indonesia, with the strengths and weaknesses of each of these frameworks

Abstract

Determination of marketing strategies is crucial in the process of running a company. The concept of customer value has become increasingly used in marketing strategies and literature in recent years. Understanding customer needs and desires is very important in designing effective market strategies. Strategy makers must consider the complexity of factors when evaluating and choosing marketing strategies. CV Rumah Mesin is a company engaged in the supply and manufacture of various types of machinery. CV Rumah Mesin has difficulty in maintaining sales consistency which has an impact on sales turnover. The purpose of this study is to identify the level of performance and consumer expectations of products and services at CV Rumah Mesin and develop appropriate marketing strategies based on the results of identifying the performance and expectations of consumers. The method used in this research is Modified Servqual and AHP. From the results of the analysis and discussion of research that has been done, it can be concluded that there are several factors that must be improved by the company such as the guarantee of machine products, the safety of machine products, the safety of product shipments, the availability of varied machine products, and the company will never be busy (ignoring ) response from consumers. In marketing its products, company can use the target market segmentation strategy to consumer agencies such as the industry service and the tourism service. Companies can provide responsive post-sale services in providing certain guarantees to consumers in an effort to differentiate from competing companies
Minimizing Material Handling Costs with the SLP Method and Material Transport Equipment in Steel Pipe Companies Nur Kalim; Lukmandono

Abstract

Factors that influence the amount of material handling costs are the distance of material movement, methods, and tools (equipment) used. The distance of material movement is strongly influenced by the layout of the production facility. The new layout design using the SLP method is expected to reduce the distance of material or product movement in PT. A B C. From the analysis results obtained the total distance of material transfer at the initial layout of the production process at PT. ABC of 1761 meters / month with material handling costs of Rp. 315,390,000.00 / month. Then an analysis of the use of material transport equipment results in the replacement of a crane with a sloping plane to connect the production machine. So the cost of material handling using the inclined plane becomes Rp. 0. The use of sloping fields can only be used on certain production machines. By using the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) method, there are 3 alternative layouts produced. The most optimal alternative layout is alternative layout 3 with monthly material handling cost savings of Rp. 68,100,000.00 or 21% of the initial material handling layout cost.

Abstract

An industry's supply chain system must be intensely improved to improve the company's performance. Factors that influence a performance are reliability, responsiveness, agility or flexibility, cost and assets. The performance of milk fish supply chain at UD TBS has not yet been measured by the performance of each distributor, so it is not yet known how effective the performance of the supply chain and the factors that can affect its performance. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that influence the performance of milk fish supply chains and DMU values by the DEA method. The results showed that the most influential factor was cash-to-cash cycle time (the time needed by the distributor to the company in ordering milkfish. The effectiveness value of 20 distributors was obtained 85% effective (green) and 10% ineffective (amber) and 5% ineffective (red).
