Abstract

This study implements the Quine McCluskey method to minimize the Boolean function. There are several methods can be used in the minimization of Boolean functions. Afrisal [1] conducted a study to apply the Karnaugh Map method. Tomaszewski [4] applied the Quine McCluskey method to make program to simplify Boolean Algebra with a maximum input function at most 4 variables which are initialized before. In this study, the Quine McCluskey implemented in the program and it can simplify the input function with a maximum length of 26 variables. That input can be entered directly via keyboard.Keywords: efficiency; minimization of Boolean Algebra; Quine McCluskey method.

Abstract

Tree Structure is used widely to represent problems in daily life, especially in computer science and technology. One method that is used to represent a tree is Blob Code. In this research, we developed an application to Encode and Decode Tree using Blob Code. This application aims to simplify the process of changing tree into a blob code (encode) and the process of changing Blob code into the form of tree (decode). Keywords: Encode, Decode, Tree, representation Tree, Blob Code.

Abstract

The selection of good achievement lecturers is a recognition for those lecturers who already had been conducting three principles of higher education with very good results. The selection of those lecturers in The University of Lampung is conducted annually. In the process of selection, the university will appoint assessing team to conduct assessments to the candidates. However, this assessment process is still conducted manually so that it will take a time to process the data. In addition, the assessment is still subjective in nature and is not yet relevant to the real conditions. Based on this background, the objective of this research was to build a decision support system to use in conducting selection process of good achievement lecturers in The University of Lampung. This decision support system was built based on web by using PHP programming language and MySQL as database, and Simple Additive Weighting method for making the decision. This method was used to determine point values of each criterion, and then ranked score was made to determine the best solution. The testing of the application using black box showed that this system was able to run properly. The results also influence the academic atmosphere and institutional quality. Keywords: decision support system, selection of good achievement lecturers , simple additive weighting

Abstract

Smartphone is a primary need for everyone in the modern era. Various features and advantages are offered by smartphone to those who use it. Smartphone is also widely used to help people to support their activities and to accomplish their work. Within the development of technology, GIS (Geographic Information System) has come along to provide service of locating a position of something in particular or a place to go. It is also used to locate its user with the help of satellite signal.  GPS can provide precise and accurate information on the position, speed, direction, and time. In this study, the researcher designs and builds an Android- based search application called ATM Maps utilizing GPS technology. This application allows you to search the location of ATMs in the city of Bandar Lampung by the way, by the  ATM and by the city of Bandar Lampung.  In turn, users can avoid difficulty in finding the location of an ATM. This will be a great help particularly to those who do not reside in the city of Bandar Lampung. Furthermore, the application also displays the transfer code of each bank so as to assist users in making easier cash transfer. The application is developed utilizing parsing technique of XML Pull Parser. It compares the data stored in folder of Assets Project and that in the server. The conclusion of this study reveals that the ATM Maps is successfully constructed and proven to be useful for its users. It is indicated by excellent rating and comments of satisfaction on the Play Store. In this application, the data is stored in Project Assets folder in purpose of reaching easy and quick access. Abstract

Information on goegrapichal condition needed by stakeholders, such as distance information, location, required information, and other information. Geographic information system (GIS) which known sistem informasi geografis (SIG) is one of solution to aquire that geographic information. Tourism in Kabupaten Pesisir Barat is the object which become material of this research thesis. The reason is Kabupaten Pesisir Barat has good potency in tourism which present tourism destinations, not only for domestic tourist, but also international tourist. The tourism destination divided into marine tourism (wisata marina), water tourism (wisata tirta), historical tourism (wisata sejarah), and natural conservation tourism (wisata suaka alam). SIG web basis is made by using PHP programing and getting data on google maps, using waterfall method and supporting software such us GPS coordinates and Xampp server. Keyword: tourism, geographic information system (GIS), web

Abstract

Cryptography can be used to process message using a specific algorithm that make the message difficult to be understood. After that, steganography is used to hide the message in other forms. This research used modified Hill Cipher and Least Significant Bit (LSB) to build a web based application for sending message and get the original message using an android application. The title and cipher key will be sent automatically by the application to the recipient's email. This application can be used by organizations or companies and use stego cover with file type .jpg and message with file type .txt. The modified Hill Cipher and LSB method can be used to encrypt message, embed it to a image and reveal it to the original message. Our research show that the LSB method has the best possibility to reveal message on image manipulated by changing brightness and contrast if the cover in grayscale, and dominant red and white colours image quality.

Abstract

Phone cell users are now countless, but many of them are not able to solve the problem if there are damages to their phones. This paper discusses about the development of expert system that can assist to identify those damages. This system uses forward chaining and backward chaining methods which are known as the searching techniques in getting a conclusion of the existing problem, and this system is built by using PHP programming language and MySQL as the database, and it can only be accessed by using a mobile browser.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini didiskusikan tentang kempleksitas algoritma dari tiga algoritma yaitu Algoritma Prim, Algoritma Kruskal, dan Algoritma Sollin. Graf yang digunakan untuk implementasi adalah graf lengkap dengan jumlah vertex 10 sampai dengan 100 dengan increment 10 dan data yang digunakan dibangkitkan secara random dengan bobot nilai antara 1 sampai dengan 1000. Untuk implementasi data dikembangkan source code dengan menggunakan Bahasa Pemrograman C++ dan dari hasil implementasi didapat hasil dan dapat dibuktikan bahwa ketiga algoritma tersebut mempunyai kompleksitas O(n2). Kata kunci: Algoritma, Kompleksitas Algoritma, Algoritma Kruskal, Algoritma Prim, Algoritma Sollin.

Abstract

Sebagian besar masyarakat indonesia kurang menyadari pentingnya menjaga kesehatan, hal ini terlihat dari gaya hidup masyarakat yang tidak sehat seperti jarang olahraga dan makanan yang tidak seimbang. Untuk mengobati penyakit yang muncul akibat gaya hidup, maka setiap orang sakit harus mempunyai dokter khusus serta harus pulang pergi ke rumah sakit dan membutuhkan biaya besar. Sistem Rekam Medis Pribadi ini dapat membantu dalam mengontrol kesehatan sehingga mengurangi biaya rumah sakit. Sistem ini dapat memberikan fasilitas perekaman data medis pribadi yang dapat mempermudah pengguna mengontrol kesehatannya serta dapat merencanakan tindakan yang sesuai untuk mencegah semakin buruknya kesehatan pengguna. Sistem dapat menghasilkan grafik dan saran dengan bantuan sistem pendukung keputusan (SPK) berdasarkan data yang dimasukkan pengguna, serta pengguna dapat mengetahui status kesehatannya pada saat itu, sehingga dapat merencanakan tindakan dan mencegahnya menjadi lebih buruk. Hasil pengujian sistem menunjukkan bahwa seluruh fungsi yang disediakan berjalan dengan lancar. Kata Kunci: Sistem Pengambil Keputusan, Rekam Medis, Rekam Medis Pribadi.

Abstract

The research was conducted with making an application to change Chomsky Normal Form (CNF) to Greibach Normal Form (GNF) with substitution method. One way of representing Context Free Grammar (CFG) is using Greibach Normal Form (GNF). The development of the application starts by making algorithm with prototype method to change Chomksy Normal Form (CNF) to Greibach Normal Form (GNF). This application is used to change Chomsky Normal Form to Greibach Normal Form and the results show that the application can change Chomsky Normal Form to Greibach Normal Form smoothly.The input for the application must be on Chomksy Normal Form (CNF). Keywords: Chomsky Normal Form, Context Free Grammar, Greibach Normal Form, Prototype Method
