Abstract

In 2013, the research developed a Printing Utility Lecture’s Attendance using web base of Sistem Matahari. But, due to changes in database and language of SIAKAD (Academic System Information)  University of Lampung in 2014, then the utility cannot be reused. To solving the problem, this research had successfully developed a Printing Utility of Lecture’s Attendance List, case study of Development of Computer Science, FMIPA University of Lampung. The making of attendance list is using data source from result from imported excel file format DNK (List of Student Name in A Class) retrieved from SIAKAD University of Lampung. The development is also done on improving attendance list printout with the output of a dynamic PDF file that is can be customized to user requirements.Keyword: Utility, Excel to Database, Lecture’s Attendance List

Abstract

Bird is one of animals that can be found di various habitats, its existence spread from the forest, the plantation until the urban. Bird is also one group of animals that close to human life. The aim of this system is to be an alternative media to facilitate people who want to get information about the types of birds in Lampung University. In this research, android- based field guide to the types of birds of Lampung university areais using java programming language. The method which is used in this application is Waterfall, and Unified Modeling Language (UML) design. This application contains 61 types of birds that can be found in Lampung University. The data of this application are pictures of birds, name of birds, Latin name, English name, family name, description and status that can help the user to recognize the types of birds which they find in Lampung University. The data result used Equivalence Partitioningtesting, showed that the rules of the system can work suitable with the function and the system can give information well. This application is a category of variable user friendly with average 4,30 (very well) and a category of interactive variable with average 4,28 (very well). Keywords: Android, Bird, Field guide, pemrograman Java, Unified Modeling Language (UML)

Abstract

Data Bank System is a place that is used to store data. In Computer Science Department, Data Bank System that is used to store data of students’ score at Computer Science Department. The System of Students’ Data Bank Score at Computer Science Department is still in manual form. Therefore, the system of Students’ Data Bank score at Computer Science Department that is still in the manual system is developed to be digital system. In searching the system of students’ data bank Score at Computer Science Department in digital form by applying Brute Force algorithm. Brute Force algorithm is a string searching algoritm which is used each character checking method in pattern with every character in the text. Data searching in the System of Students’ Data Bank Score at Computer Science Department the testing was done with some case  tests that focused on functional system. Data searching in the System of Students’ Data Bank Score at Computer Science Department was using Brute Force Method by ten people that was randomly chosen. The questionnaire result of system testing was using Likert scale, with the result of final score was 83,33 or it could be stated that the System of Students’ Data Bank Score at Computer Science Department by using Brute Force method was “Very Good”.

Abstract

Semaphore is a medium to communicate from one person to another. The process of studying semaphore codes is quite difficult and requires a relatively long time because of the limited medium for learning this code. This research aims to design and develop the application for learning semaphore code on Android-based mobile devices as well as providing an alternative learning media for semaphore code learners. Android mobile devices selected as the basis of application development considering of the use of those Android technologies.This application was developed with the Java, HTML, CSS and JavaScript programming language. The data used are motion pictures semaphore. The application tests was carried out using the Blackbox Testing method. The testing is done by examining the functional features of the application. The test results of system and application test shows that the Semaphore Code Application is able to run well on Android operating system applied on Ice Cream Sandwich and Jelly Bean version and also able to translate words and sentences in roman letters into motion pictures semaphores.Keywords: Android, learning media, mobile devices, semaphore.

Abstract

AbstractIn tracking of SIAKAD transcript, there was found a bug, that is the arrangement of the lesson position at the tenth till fifteenth semester located between first and second semester. Process tracking bug did in simulation program. In this research, carried out a development of the original program Siakad as simulation program that will be analyzed, to find out where is bug in the system. Development this program using PHP and MySQL database software. Tracking bug using whitebox testing method, it can be determined whether there is a bug in the procedural structure of the program or just on the operational function of the system itself. Bugs can be repaired by adding some changes on source code of the program. The changes are determination of new variables as memory variables and application of Bubble sort method on sorting proccess. The result shows bugs on the program is fixed. Abstract

Sistem inventory merupakan suatu kegiatan pengolahan data barang pada suatu ruangan. Sistem Inventory berperan penting bagi suatu instansi dalam pengolahan data inventaris untuk mengoptimalkan pengawasan pada keuangan Negara. Sistem pengolahan data inventaris di berbagai instansi masih mengunakan Microsoft Excel sehingga data belum terarsip secara optimal. Pengolahan data tersebut dapat dipermudah dengan mengembangkan Sistem inventory dengan menggunakan metode Neuro-Dynamic untuk menghindari adanya overdemand dan oversupply. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah metode waterfall. Sistem yang telah dihasilkan yaitu suatu sistem yang memberikan informasi tentang data barang di jurusan Ilmu Komputer di Universitas Lampung. Pengembangan sistem inventory dengan menampilkan beberapa fitur seperti Laman Inventaris, Laman Kebutuhan, Laman Peminjaman, Pengembalian, Laman Kehilangan, Laman Reporting Data Inventaris sebagai pengolahan data inventaris dan telah berjalan dengan baik. Sistem dapat membantu proses kerja staff dalam pengolahan data inventory dan pembuatan laporan inventory kepada pihak jurusan. Sistem inventory ini diimplementasikan dengan menggunakan database MySQL dan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Kata kunci: Sistem Inventory, Metode Neuro-Dynamic, PHP

Abstract

Knapsack Problem (KP) is known as one of combinatorial optimization problem that maximizes the amount of value (profit/ priority) of some of the items chosen to put in a sack or a bag without exceeding its capacity. KP has been applied in many fields: cargo loading, budget control, financial management and etc. In addition, KP is also included in NP-Hard problem. Several research have been conducted using some heuristic method to solve it. Some of these methods are Branch and Bound, Greedy Algorithms, Dynamic Programming, and Genetic Algorithms.However, when using GA, the feasibility of chromosome is one of critical issue. Most of optimization problem has constraint functions that will change the feasibility of solution. GA has some strategies to handle this case on the evaluation step. Evaluation not only calculates chromosome’s fitness value, but also handles the infeasible chromosomes presence. There’re rejecting strategies, repairing strategies, and penalty strategy.This paper develops a strategy GA approach with chromosome repairing strategy. In order to see the performance of the algorithm, we have done numerical experiment with several test problems taken on certain literature. In addition, this study will also give variations in GA parameter to determine the efficiency and effectiveness of the algorithm.

Abstract

Meet the patient's expectation is one of the requirements in health care quality. In order to achieve the healthcare quality, hospitals need to change the paradigm from drug oriented to patient orientation. The main problem in health care quality today is patients waiting a long time for service and it will increase the morbidity risk and socioeconomic cost. A solution to resolve long service time is to implement a queuing system that can predict the actual queue situation. This study aim is estimating the  waiting time of patients using Network Queue Jackson Method. We build a queuing model with 8 single servers and consists of 4 health care facilities, a registration, 5 consultation points for the patient, a pharmaceutical, and a cashier. In this method uses rules First Come First Serve where consumers can move from one workstation to another workstation before leaving the system. Through the Network Queue Jackson, each server or node can provide independent services that it possible to analyze each node separately.

Abstract

Students are still often not on time in attending lectures, students also often forget to do the task and prepare for the exam. This has an impact on the achievement value obtained is not maximal. In this research, researchers built a mobile application on Android-based smartphone operating system as a reminder for students Computer Science Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences University of Lampung. This application is made up of two parts Web-based for admin and Android-based for users, connected using Web Service. This application is made to support and maximize lecture activities. The workings of this application is as an alarm reminder to remind students of lecture, tasks, and exam schedules. The test result by using Black-Box equivalence partitioning shows that the application runs in accordance with the requirements.
