EEconomica: Jurnal Ekonomi Islam is a scientific journal in the field of Islamic economics studies published twice a year by the Institute of Islamic Economic Research and Development (LP2EI), Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business UIN Walisongo Semarang.
The editors receive scientific articles in the form of conceptual script or unpublished research results or other scientific publications related to Islamic Economics themes which cover Islamic Finance, Islamic Banking, Islamic Accounting, Islamic Marketing, also Behavioral Economics, Management, and Human Resources in Islamic perspective.

<![CDATA[This study aims to identify factors that determine the awareness, intention and decision of the Indonesian people to cash waqf. Data collection techniques using purposive sampling with PLS (Partial Least Squared) method as a data analysis tool in this study includes a path analysis model. The results obtained show that the social environment and understanding affect one's awareness and interest in cash waqf. The emergence of awareness and intention will encourage the person to carry out cash waqf. While the promotion of cash waqf does not affect awareness and intentions which in the end will not encourage someone to cash waqf.Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang menentukan kesadaran, minat dan keputusan masyarakat Indonesia untuk berwakaf uang. Teknik penggumpulan data menggunakan purposive sampling dengan metode PLS (Partial Least Squared) sebagai alat analisis data yang dalam penelitian ini memuat model analisis jalur. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan sosial dan pemahaman mempengaruhi kesadaran dan minat seseorang akan wakaf uang. Munculnya kesadaran dan minat akan mendorong orang tersebut untuk melaksanakan wakaf uang. Sedangkan promosi tentang wakaf uang tidak mempengaruhi kesadaran dan minat yang pada akhirnya tidak akan mendorong seseorang untuk berwakaf uang.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of sustainability report disclosure and profitability on firm value. Type of this research uses a quantitative method with multiple linear regression of the data analysis techniques. The data used in this research are secondary data. The population of research companies are listed on the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) as of December 29, 2017. The sample used purposive sampling method on 13 company samples. The results of this research indicate that sustainability report does not affect firm value and profitability affects firm value. This study implies that regulators should encourage companies to disclose sustainability reports because there are still a few companies that disclose it. Regulators are also expected to participate in providing socialization so that investors understand the meaning of the sustainability report.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh laporan keberlanjutan dan profitabilitas terhadap nilai perusahaan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan regresi linier berganda. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah data sekunder. Populasi perusahaan penelitian terdaftar di Indeks Saham Syariah Indonesia (ISSI) pada tanggal 29 Desember 2017. Sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling pada 13 perusahaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa laporan keberlanjutan tidak berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan dan profitabilitas berpengaruh terhadap nilai perusahaan. Studi ini menyiratkan bahwa regulator harus mendorong perusahaan untuk mengungkapkan laporan keberlanjutan karena masih ada beberapa perusahaan yang mengungkapkannya. Regulator juga diharapkan untuk berpartisipasi dalam memberikan sosialisasi sehingga investor memahami arti dari laporan keberlanjutan.]]>

<![CDATA[The purpose of this research is how to implement the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) at UIN Walisongo in an effort towards world class university (WCU). The research design is policy research using explorative descriptive analysis techniques. The results show that in perspective (1) changes in research organizations: international collaborative research and international publications need to be improved, (2) human resource policies, increasing the number of professors and doctors and staff education, based on educational qualifications are still limited (3) academic programs, international accredited study programs need to be started, (4) Internal Governance, as an anti-corruption campus that applies the best Integrity zone in PTKI and (5) Funds, develops and explores funding sources from domestic and foreign partners to strengthen the internationalization program towards WCU.Tujuan penelitian adalah bagaimana implementasi BSC pada UIN Walisongo dalam upaya menuju world class university (WCU). Desain penelitian adalah penelitian kebijakan dengan menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif eksploratif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dalam perspektif (1) perubahan organisasi: penelitian, masih terbatasnya penelitian kolaboratif internasional dan publikasi internasional, (2) kebijakan sumber daya manusia, meningkatkan jumlah profesor dan doktor dan pendidikan staf, berdasarkan kualifikasi pendidikan masih terbatas (3) program akademik, program studi terakreditasi internasional perlu dimulai, (4) Tata Kelola Internal, sebagai kampus anti-korupsi yang menerapkan zona Integritas terbaik di PTKI dan (5) Dana, mengembangkan dan mengeksplorasi sumber pendanaan dari mitra domestik dan asing untuk memperkuat program internasionalisasi menuju WCU.]]>

<![CDATA[SMEs that play significant role in Indonesia economy still suffer from financial constraint. Even though government provides big support to open finance access for SMEs, there are still more than half are not supported by sufficient access of financing. This paper investigates the possible financing methods that can be used by SMEs by examining its positive and negative aspects along with the shariah view on it. Since there are limitations that have to be removed, we propose new scheme of financing suits best for Indonesia SMEs based on the venture capital design by embedding crowdfunding structure and the Islamic element in it. This paper also proposes new possible exit strategy for the scheme in order to benefit all parties involved.UKM memiliki peran penting dalam perekonomian Indonesia yang masih mengalami kendala keuangan. Meskipun pemerintah memberikan dukungan besar untuk membuka akses keuangan untuk UKM, masih ada lebih dari setengah yang tidak didukung oleh akses pembiayaan yang memadai. Kajian ini meneliti kemungkinan metode pembiayaan yang dapat digunakan oleh UKM dengan memeriksa aspek positif dan negatifnya disertai dengan pandangan syariah atas permasalahan ini. Karena ada keterbatasan yang harus dihilangkan pada model-model pembiayaan, maka kami mengusulkan skema baru pembiayaan yang terbaik untuk UKM Indonesia berdasarkan desain modal ventura dengan menanamkan struktur crowdfunding dan elemen Islami di dalamnya. Penelitian ini juga mengusulkan kemungkinan strategi keluar baru untuk skema tersebut agar bermanfaat bagi semua pihak yang terlibat.]]>

<![CDATA[Sukuk has become one of alternative financing for corporate. The development of Sukuk provides the flexibility choices of company’s funding decisions that required their needs and capabilities. Sukuk market in Indonesia is the second largest in emerging East Asia in terms of size but the number of issued Sukuk lower than a conventional bond. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence that the characteristics of the company influence the decision of the company in issuing Sukuk and bonds using the logit model. The results of this study conclude: (1) leverage has a negative influence and significant (2) size of the firm has a positive influence and significant (3) fixed assets has a positive influence and significant to the decision of the company in issuing Sukuk.]]>
