VOLT: Jurnal Ilmiah Pendidikan Teknik Elektro (Scientific Journal of Electrical Engineering Education) [ISSN: 2528-5688, e-ISSN: 2528-5696], is a peer-reviewed, scientific journal published by Department of Electrical Engineering Vocational Education, Universitas Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa (UNTIRTA) in collaboration with Asosiasi Dosen dan Guru Vokasi Indonesia (ADGVI) - Association of Indonesian Vocational Educators (AIVE). The aim of this journal is to publish high-quality articles to all aspects of the latest outstanding developments in the field of Electrical Engineering Education, Vocational Education and Electrical Engineering. The journal invites scientists, teachers, lecturers, practitioners, engineers throughout the world to exchange and disseminate theoretical and practice-oriented topics of Electrical Engineering Education, Vocational Education, and Electrical Engineering which covers 8 majors areas of research that includes: 1) Electrical Engineering Education, 2)Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), 3) Vocational Education, 4) Engineering Education, 5) Electronics Engineering Education, 6) Information and Communication Technology Education, 7) Mechatronics Education, and 8) Electrical Engineering (Power, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Telecommunication and Multimedia, Computer and Informatics Engineering, Signal/Image Processing, etc.). It was first published in 2016. VOLT regularly published twice in a year on April and October.

Abstract

Internet Of Things (IoT) is one form of innovation that aims to expand the benefits of continuously connected internet connectivity, one example of the use of this technology is in terms of remote monitoring (eg remote monitoring); monitoring weather conditions, water levels, air pollution, forest fires and so on. In this research will apply the utilization of Internet of Things (IoT) for acquisition of multisensor measurement data using the Thingspeak interface. Based on the results of tests conducted it was found that various series of sensors, such as; temperature sensors, water level sensors, vibration sensors and smoke sensors can display data in the form of results graphs through the Thingspeak software.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to review the power output generated during the operation of the solar panels. Data that used to be taken of the Solar Power Plant or PLTS that operate PT. Pertamina (Persero) RU III Plaju observed data starting from January 2017 until December 2017 PLTS system installed in PT. Pertamina (Persero) RU III Plaju is a kind of photovoltaic grid connected (on grid). The results obtained that in manual calculations obtained fill factor of 0.7594 and output power of 250.884 Watts. Whereas the data in real time in the field fluctuating occurs at any time. This is because the weather was overcast, the lack of sunlight and shadow position (shading) that occurs due to the PLTS clouded by trees or buildings around also affects the results of the output voltage of the PLTS.

Abstract

Fires often happen in the environment of industrial chemical plant caused by harmful gases. To minimize the incident that can be triggered by the gas it takes a tool capable of classifying gases are in the environment industry. The purpose of this research is to know the success in classifying gas on a fire that was triggered by the dangerous gases. We offer solutions in design and build a mobile robot that can classify objects contain hazardous gases by using the method of pattern recognition, the age of the SVM is still relatively young. Nevertheless, the advantages of SVM compared to another method lies in its ability to find the best hyperplane that separates the two class. Based on the results of testing data can classify SVM managed in accordance with the class. The degree of accuracy achieved SVM in classifying reached 86.66 %.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang meter air menggunakan sensor aliran air SEN-HZ21WA, kemudian diuji dengan cara membandingkan antara meter air analog PDAM dengan meter air Z3002. Meter air digital dapat menampilkan keluaran data berupa debit air, tekanan air, dan volume air yang mengalir pada LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). Meter air yang dikalibrasi memiliki batas pengukuran debit air yaitu 0,8-28,1 liter/menit, rata-rata kesalahan pengukuran volume air pada gelas ukur sebesar 4,5 %, dan rata-rata kesalahan debit air pada meter air Z3002 yaitu 0,063 %. Meter air yang dirancang dan meter air milik PDAM memiliki selisih rata-rata kesalahan pembacaan debit air 0,0181 liter/detik, tekanan air 0,1365 Bar, dan volume air 0,743 liter.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a Web-based learning media effectively on subjects of Automotive Basic Electrical Engineering in Vocational Secondary School (SMK) Negeri 1 Lintau Buo. Web-based learning media developed measured their effectiveness, as one media choice efficient and effective learning for students This research using the method of Research and Development (R&D) with 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). The results obtained from this research are as follows: (1) the learning media validity of the web-based learning media is declared valid with value of  85.99%, and on aspects of the material declared valid with a value of 87.7%; (2) the media practicalities of web-based learning media on the teacher's response stated the practical value of 81.7%, and based on the response of the students stated the practical value of 88%; (3) the media effectiveness of the web-based learning media was declared effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to create a miniature system for parking using Borland Delphi 6.0 software. The output data in the form of an analog optical sensors, so that the computer can read and manipulate data, then the data is converted to digital data by means of the output from the optical sensors sent to PPI 8255 which served to transform analog signals into a digital signals. The entire system is con-trolled entirely by computer through the PPI 8255 by Program Borland Delphi 6.0

Abstract

This research aims to know the relationship between engineering skills simultaneously (X1) and entrepreneurship literacy (X2) towards entrepreneurship opportunities (Y). This research is descriptive correlation research which is ex post facto. The subject in this study are students of class XII electrical engineering program, electric power installation skills competency Vocational High School in Malang amounted to 79 students. Data collection engineering skills variables using the documentation value of practical training, while entrepreneurship literacy variables and perceptions towards entrepreneurship opportunities to use the questionnaire. Data analysis includes descriptive analysis and regression. The results of the research that has been done, the significance F of 0.000 < 0.05 (p. sig = 5.00%). So, it can be concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship simultaneously between entrepreneurship, environmental literacy, and proficiency with the perception towards entrepreneurship opportunities.

Abstract

This research aims to reduce losses that arise because of the flood in a way create a notifier flooding as flood detection.  Sensors Ultrasonic sensors measure distance as can be applied as a water level detector, while the sensors used to detect flow velocity of the water flow. Research methods used in the form of literature reviews and making hardware and software using sensors SR04-HC. Applica-tion of fuzzy logic is used as a data processing of the ultrasonic sensor and flow sensor.  Fuzzy logic will result in a decision on environmental conditions.  With the decision made by fuzzy logic, early warning against the danger of flooding, in the form of an alarm and display the text that indicates a likelihood of flooding, as well as to social media news delivery can be carried out.
