This journal, with ISSN 1979-0112, was firstly published on May 20, 2008, in the context to commemorate the National Awakening Day in Indonesia. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal has been organized and published by Minda Masagi Press, a publishing house owned by ASPENSI (the Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is published every May and November. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is devoted, but not limited to, Social Sciences education, Humanities education, and any new development and advancement in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences education. The scope of our journal includes: (1) Language and literature education; (2) Social sciences education; (3) Sports and health education; (4) Economy and business education; (5) Science, Technology and Society in education; (6) Political and Social Engineering in education; and (7) Visual arts, dance, music, and design education.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The progress of science, technology, and information carries serious implications for the existence of regional culture in Indonesia. The process of globalization has also promoted culture in the world becomes one-dimensional and monolithic, which in turn will reduce the national identity and also negates the local culture. In this context, “Nyadran” is one form of traditional ceremonies and local culture to be preserved, because it contains the values of social, cultural, and local knowledge; and serves as a social capital that can unite people from the process of social disintegration. This research aims to inventory the important aspects of one of the regional culture, the traditional ceremony of “Nyadran”. In addition, this study also aims to analyze the values of socio-cultural of traditional ceremonies of “Nyadran”. This study used qualitative methods, with data collection techniques are observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews. The analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative with ethnographic approach. The results showed that the traditional ceremony of “Nyadran” is a heritage of the indigenous Javanese culture, which is influenced by Hindu culture and Islamic religion. The traditional ceremony of “Nyadran” has had the values of socio-cultural, inter alia: religious values, values of mutual assistance, tolerance, unity value, the value of struggle, the value of respect for the environment, and the value of cooperation. Because of that, traditional ceremony of “Nyadran” should be preserved and developed.KEY WORD: Globalization; Socio and Cultural Values; Ceremony of Nyadran; Local Wisdom; Social Integration. RESUME: “Nilai-nilai Sosial-Budaya dalam Upacara Tradisional Nyadran di Tawun, Ngawi, Jawa Timur, Indonesia”. Kemajuan sains, teknologi, dan informasi membawa dampak yang sangat serius bagi eksistensi kebudayaan daerah di Indonesia. Proses globalisasi juga telah mendorong kebudayaan di dunia menjadi berdimensi tunggal dan monolitik, yang pada gilirannya akan mereduksi identitas nasional dan menegasikan pula keragaman budaya lokal. Dalam konteks ini, Nyadran merupakan salah satu bentuk upacara adat dan budaya lokal yang perlu dilestarikan, karena mengandung nilai-nilai sosial, kultural, dan kearifan lokal; serta berfungsi sebagai modal sosial yang dapat mempersatukan masyarakat dari proses disintegrasi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan menginventarisir aspek-aspek penting dari salah satu kebudayaan daerah, yakni upacara adat Nyadran. Disamping itu, penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai sosio-kultural dari upacara adat Nyadran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif, dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam. Teknik analisis yang digunakan ialah deskriptif-kualitatif, dengan pendekatan etnografik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa upacara adat Nyadran merupakan warisan nenek moyang yang merupakan budaya Jawa asli, yang dipengaruhi oleh budaya Hindu dan agama Islam. Upacara adat Nyadran mempunyai nilai-nilai sosio-kultural, antara lain: nilai religius, nilai gotong-royong, nilai toleransi, nilai persatuan-kesatuan, nilai perjuangan, nilai penghargaan terhadap lingkungan, dan nilai kerjasama. Abstract

RESUME: Pendidikan karakter bangsa mempunyai peran strategis dalam pembangunan nasional. Untuk memenuhi hal tersebut diperlukan suatu “grand desain” pendidikan karakter sebagai bagian dari upaya membangun karakter bangsa. Regulasi pendidikan karakter diatur dalam UU (Undang-Undang) Nomor 20 Tahun 2003 tentang SISDIKNAS (Sistem Pendidikan Nasional). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji konstruksi model pendidikan karakter bangsa dalam mendukung kemandirian pangan dan cinta produk Indonesia berbasis tri pilar pusat pendidikan (informal, formal, dan nonformal) yang berlaku di Indonesia, dari masa pemerintahan Orde Lama (1959-1966), Orde Baru (1966-1998), sampai dengan masa Reformasi (1998-sekarang). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa konstruksi model pendidikan karakter bangsa untuk mendukung kemandirian pangan dan cinta produk Indonesia, yang pernah berlaku di Indonesia, sangat beragam; dan semuanya itu tergantung pada politik pendidikan dan kebijakan pemerintah serta nomenklatur masyarakat. Pada  masa pemerintahan Orde Lama, pendidikan karakter bangsa dilakukan dalam kerangka “nation and character building”; pada masa pemerintahan Orde Baru, pendidikan karakter dilakukan dalam kerangka stabilitas nasional dan pemantapan jati diri bangsa; serta pada masa Reformasi, pendidikan karakter dilakukan dalam kerangka totalitas proses psikologis, sosial, kultural, dan bersifat multidimensional.KATA KUNCI: Pendidikan Karakter; Pembangunan Bangsa; Revolusi Mental; Kemandirian Pangan; Cinta Produk Indonesia. ABSTRACT: “Mental Revolution through Model of National Character Education for Strengthening the Food Self-Sufficiency and Love Indonesian Products”. National character education has a strategic role in national development. To meet this is needed a grand design on character education as part of efforts to build the nations character. Character education regulation stipulated in Law Number 20 Year 2003 on National Education System. This study specifically aims to study the construction of the nations character education model to support food self-sufficiency and love Indonesian products based on three central pillar of education prevailing in Indonesia (informal, formal, and nonformal educations), since the governments era of Old Order (1959-1966), New Order (1966-1998) until the Reform era (1998 to date). The results showed that the construction of the nations character education model to support food self-sufficiency and love Indonesian products, that ever applied in Indonesia, is very diverse; and overall is depending on the political education and government policies as well as the nomenclature of the community.
