Abstract

Learning institution be present at competition era between Learning institutions and then prosecute the Learning institutions to fulfill market need and want. This research used the variable, the price, the delivery system, and physical facilities, and communication. The methods of this research is cluster analysis. Based on the data analysis, it is obtained that for cluster I (53% respondent) have the characteristics that they are interested in following the programs given by this learning institution, the adjustment of the programs and the students’ major in SMA/K, and there should be special training in order to meet the demands of the working life, the price should be based on the quality of the training given to the students, and the facilities supporting the learning and teaching process are suitable to the students’ needs, the learning institution has complete facilities, and the brochure that gives all information of this learning institution are well designed so that it gives clear information about the learning institution, and the telecommunication media is by using email in order to deliver the information and daily assignment. In Cluster II (20% of the respondents) have the characteristics that the facilities are equals, and the price is reasonable, and this learning institution is categorized as moderate. In cluster III (27% of the respondents) have the characteristics of technology advance, interested in scholarship, there is written announcement, personal relationship, and has the website for the learning institution. Based on all of the three clusters, cluster I has the most respondents, that is 53%. Therefore, the strategy of the marketing can be focused on the cluster I.Key word: Cluster Analysis, Learning Institution, Marketing Strategy.

Abstract

Recommender systems are basically developed to help internet users to find information such as movies, books, news or other informations that probably prefered personally. In this study we constructed a movie recommender system using cluster-based smoothing method of collaborative filtering that can provide movie predictions for a user with good accuracy. The implementation of clustering and smoothing of this method is expected to address the issue of data gap rating (sparsity) and an increasing number of users in large numbers (scalability) that often occurs in collaborative filtering. The test of this method is using three parameters, namely the number of clusters, the number of k-neighbors, and the level of sparsity. In the test from each parameter is used dataset rating as much as 1063 instance that has been rated by 40 users, then the data is divided into 2 parts, with 80% as data train and 20% as data test. Test results showed that the number of clusters = 3 and number of k = 50% produced the lowest accuracy value is 0.6713 and the system is capable to handling level of data sparsity from up to 70% with MAE = 0.8361.Keywords: Cluster-based Smoothing, Collaborative Filtering, movie, recommender system, Scalability, Sparsity

Abstract

Activity and mobility of human life is increasingly dense making information increasingly needed.One of the important information needs for humans is the need of food/culinary. Culinary informationincludes location information, menus, transactions, and route information (directions) the culinary.Location-based information services have an important role to help people solve those problems. Locationbased services (LBS) is a notion arising from the development of mobile technology, including technologydevelopment of Global Positioning System (GPS), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and wirelesstelecommunication technologies (wireless).Mobile culinary (eMKUL) is the application uses location-based services to helppeople/communities to do culinary activity. Culinary activity mentioned is to search the culinary/restaurant,see the route/navigation, showing the position of the nearest culinary, culinary menus and makereservations. eMKUL applications built on the Android platform using the Java programming language.eMKUL application is client applications. This application requires an internet connection and GPS tomaximize use of existing features in eMKUL. eMKUL testing uses Black Box and User Acceptance Test.The test results provide the conclusion that all the features eMKUL can run well. eMKUL can help people /communities to access location-based culinary information.Keywords: Android, eMKUL, Location Based Service (LBS), Mobile Culinary

Abstract

This research aim to know loss of active power generated by current at neutral line of transformator effect of laod imbalance in building of Rektorat UIN Suska Riau. Measurement of current, voltage, power factor and power were done in morning, evening and noon in order to be known how big current imbalance of phasa that happened so that have potency to improve current at neutral line of transformator. Ever greater of neutral current value hence active power losss ever greater. From Result of research known to three condition of measurement of losses of power biggest value energy effect of difference of current of phasa in the condition of daytime where moment of condition this there are difference of current of phasa which enough signifikan so that affect the increasing of current at neutral line with power losses was reaching 260.167 Watt.Keywords : Losses active power, load imbalance, phase current, neutral current, transformator.

Abstract

Google Earth merupakan sebuah virtual globe yang merekam hasil rekaman satelit secara langsung. Citra permukaan bumi ditampilkan oleh aplikasi Google Earth dengan resolusi yang berbeda sesuai dengan kepentingan dan interest points penggunanya. Salah satu pemanfaatan citra hasil rekaman Google Earth ini sudah dimanfaatkan untuk kepentingan penelitian.Para peneliti menggunakan Google Earth untuk beragam bidang penelitian karena kemudahan dan originalitas citra yang diberikan. Pada penelitian ini, pemanfaatan Google Earth imagery digunakan untuk proses segmentasi lahan hijau di Kota Pekanbaru dengan teknik pengolahan citra yang mengimplemtasikan metode K-Means Clustering. Jumlah cluster yang diharapkan ada dua, yaitu cluster sebaran lahan hijau dan cluster tidak lahan hijau. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah bahwacitra Google Earth terbukti dapat dijadikan sebagai bahan penelitian untuk segmentasi citra dengan menggunakan metode K-Means Clustering. Dua cluster output yang diharapkan berhasil di cluster dengan metode ini.

Abstract

This paper presents an attempt to design and make a rogowski coil together with its signal conditioning circuit for alternating current measurement. The induced voltage between rogowski coil ends is connected to active integrator circuit to yield voltage signal that is linear corresponding with the measured current. The output of integrator circuit is amplified its level before rectified using precision rectifier circuit. The output of precision rectifier is filtered using capacitor before connected to analog input port of ATMEGA8535 microcontroller. Microcontroller performs data acquisition of the signal, processes it and sends information of the rms value of the measured current to an LCD display. A test with 0.5 class moving-iron type amperemeter as a comparison shows that for measurement of alternating current from 0 to 5 amperes, the maximum value of error measurement is 2.5%.Keywords: rogowski coil, active integrator, precision rectifier, ATMEGA8535 microcontroller

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran dipengaruhi oleh kualitas pelaku pendidikan.Pelaku pendidikan yangmengambil peran penting dalam proses pembelajaran di tingkat universitas adalah dosen. Dosen memilikikewajiban untuk memenuhi tri dharma perguruan tinggi. Pada kondisi lain implementasi manajemenpembelajaran, sangat dipengaruhi oleh ketatnya sistem pengawasan yang secara nyata akan berdampakterhadap kinerja dosen dalam mengembangkan kompetensinya, terutama dalam mengaplikasikankemampuan dan keterampilan pengelolaan pembelajaran di dalam maupun di luar kelas. Untuk itudibutuhkan pengukuran kinerja dosen secara komprehensif. Balanced scorecard merupakan salah satumetode yang dapat digunakan mengukur kinerja secara komprehensif. Sistem informasi menggunakanuse case diagram dalam tahap perancangan dan microsoft visio untuk interface. Abstract

Three-phase induction motor is one of the electric motor is in operation requires three-phase supply voltage is balanced to operate optimally. Three-phase supply voltages are un balanced can reduce the rating of the three-phase induction motor during operation.To calculate the rerating three-phase induction motor output due to supply voltage three-phase unbalanced done using the method of William. Unbalanced three-phase voltage obtained by simulation. Simulation is used Monte Carlo simulations to present three-phase induction motor condition with input voltages to the stator is unbalanced using the software MATLAB 7.The results of calculations show the influence of unbalanced input voltage by a factor of 0.76% voltage imbalance – 8.41% of a three-phase induction motor rating can be seen in the form of a decrease in the power rating of three-phase induction motor 10 hp to 9.45 – 4.03 hp.Keywords: rerating, Monte Carlo simulation, Method of William

Abstract

Technological advances in HF channel can be used for communication on maritime. An increasing number of users resulted in the occupation of the channel have different data characteristics. Expression of a signal can be expressed in the time domain or in frequency domain. In this research modeling the statistical characteristics of data the use of HF radio channel in time domain to sound signals through the measuring process. Measurements are grouped into the measurement time in the morning, afternoon, evening and night are categorized into small medium and dense traffic. The results of the measurement data and modeled through a statistical approach to data distribution to get the average service time at each measurement time. From the time available to do the estimated length of service data packet may be sent the system to be used. The results of data processing and modeling that the data obtained using the HF radio channel in time domain exponentially distributed the availability of most of the time of service there at night by 27.9 seconds and the estimated length of the packet obtained by 104.6 KbyteKeywords: HF, time domain,data modeling, service time
