Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of profitability, liquidity, leverage, and eco-efficiency on firm value in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2020–2023 period. The population consists of all energy companies listed on the exchange, with a total sample of 29 firms selected using purposive sampling based on specific criteria. Secondary data were obtained from financial reports published on the official IDX website and the respective companies' websites. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The findings reveal that profitability, as measured by return on equity (ROE), has a positive and significant effect on firm value. In contrast, liquidity (current ratio/CR) shows a negative but statistically insignificant effect, while leverage (debt-to-equity ratio/DER) and eco-efficiency both exhibit positive but insignificant effects on firm value throughout the observation period.

Abstract

Maintaining job satisfaction among civil servants is essential for ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of public service delivery. In this context, factors such as work-life balance, work stress, and psychological capital play a crucial role. This study investigates the influence of work-life balance and work stress on job satisfaction, with psychological capital serving as a mediating variable among civil servants at the Regional Personnel Agency (BKD) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). The population in this study consists of all BKD DIY employees, and the sampling technique employed is exhaustive sampling, resulting in a total of 85 respondents. Data were collected through the distribution of offline, hard-copy questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4 software. The results indicate that work-life balance has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction, while work stress has a significant negative effect. In addition, psychological capital significantly mediates the relationship between work-life balance and job satisfaction, as well as the relationship between work stress and job satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening psychological capital to enhance job satisfaction among civil servants.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is considered an important mechanism for improving the Indonesian economy through job creation, especially for young entrepreneurs, however, interest in entrepreneurship among young people, especially students, is still quite low, while in the current digital era, social media has become an important platform that influences the mindset and behavior of the younger generation, including in the context of entrepreneurship. For this reason, this research aims to analyze the influence of social media use and entrepreneurial motivation on interest in entrepreneurship among Lampung University students. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach, where data is collected through questionnaires distributed to 150 students from various departments at the University of Lampung. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using IBM SPSS version 25 software and testing the hypothesis using the t statistical test method. The results of this research support the hypothesis that has been established, namely that the use of social media has a significant positive effect on business resilience, and entrepreneurial motivation has a significant positive effect on entrepreneurship interest.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of leadership style, work discipline, and work environment on employee performance, with work motivation examined as a moderating variable, in the context of PT Karya Giri Palma, one of the prominent furniture companies in Malang, Indonesia.. The study employed a quantitative approach and involved 110 employees, selected from a total population of 150 using a simple random sampling technique based on the Slovin formula. The analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS) with the SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results show that work discipline significantly influences employee performance, whereas leadership style and work environment do not have a statistically significant effect. Additionally, work motivation does not moderate the relationships between the independent variables and employee performance. These findings underscore the critical importance of work discipline in enhancing employee outcomes and offer practical insights for improving human resource strategies in similar manufacturing contexts. The study also contributes to the literature by clarifying the limited moderating role of motivation in performance-related models.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of Islamic religious holidays Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha on the Indonesian capital market, focusing on abnormal returns (AR) and trading volume activity (TVA) in the consumer cyclicals sector. Using an event study methodology, data from 70 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2018 to 2022 were analyzed. The results indicate a significant market reaction to Eid al-Fitr, with abnormal returns observed on H−3 (three days before) and H+2 (two days after the event, suggesting investor anticipation of increased consumer spending. However, no significant AR or TVA anomalies were detected for Eid al-Adha, likely due to its lesser economic impact. Trading volumes showed no statistically significant changes during either holiday, aligning with the semi-strong form of the Efficient Market Hypothesis (EMH), which posits that public information is rapidly reflected in stock prices. These findings highlight the nuanced influence of cultural and religious events on market behavior, with Eid al-Fitr generating short-term inefficiencies while Eid al-Adha does not. The study contributes to the literature on behavioral finance and market efficiency in emerging economies, offering insights for investors and policymakers on holiday-driven market dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of capital structure, liquidity, dividend policy, and profitability on firm value. The research employs a quantitative approach using secondary data obtained from the financial statements of companies listed on the LQ45 Index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. A purposive sampling technique was applied, resulting in 70 firm-year observations from 2020 to 2024. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS 20. The findings reveal that capital structure, liquidity, dividend policy, and profitability jointly have a significant impact on firm value. However, capital structure individually shows no significant effect. In contrast, liquidity, dividend policy, and profitability each demonstrate a positive and significant influence on firm value. These results suggest that firms can enhance their value by improving financial performance, particularly through maintaining adequate liquidity, implementing consistent dividend policies, and increasing profitability.
