Abstract

This research aims are to develop and test the validity of the diagnostic assessment instrument of misconceptions on the motion concept through CRI (Certainty of Response Index) Live Worksheet-based. The test questions were carried out by 23 students of class VIIIB SMP Setiabudhi Semarang. This research instrument uses the Research and Development method of the 4-D development model from Thiagarajan. The validity of this study was carried out using expert validation and item analysis. In the expert validation stage, the question instrument was validated by 3 validators consisting of evaluation experts and material experts with an average proportion of 93.59%. The questions were tested on 20 students, and it was stated that there were 15 questions. The data obtained were analyzed with the help of the Anates application version 4.09. The results showed that: (1) Based on the criteria for the level of difficulty obtained from 1 item (5%), moderate 16 items (80%), difficult 3 items (15%); (2) Based on the question criteria, it was obtained very low 2 items (10%), low 1 item (5%), moderate 10 items (50%), and high 7 items (35%); (3) Based on the reliability test, it was found that the reliability of the test of 0.77 in the high category. Based on the analysis of research data that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the diagnostic test evaluation tool in the form of multiple choice based on the Certainty Response Index (CRI) with predetermined reasons can be used to identify students' misconceptions in straight motion material. The level of misconceptions experienced by grade VIII students of SMP Setiabudhi Semarang consists of the cognitive domains C1-C5. At the level of understanding C1 with 4.4% misconception, C2 28.7%, C3 33.5%, C4 27.1% and C5 6.3%. This research is expected to be a reference or consideration as a form of instrument based on misconceptions on the Straight Motion material through the Live Worksheet-based CRI model. Keywords: CRI Instruments; Live Worksheets; Misconceptions; Straight Motion; Validity.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) create a design of a modest water plan for mathematics lessons with the material of fluid, (2) describe the improved psychomotor skills of the learners from the learning process with the created design, the modest water plan, for mathematics lesson with the material of fluid, and (3) describe the learners' responses toward the design of the water pump with the lesson of fluid mechanics. This Research & Development applied the ADDIE model with five stages. The first stage was analysis. The researchers reviewed the physics learning problems for Senior High School learner levels, specifically in the chapter on fluid mechanics. The second stage was the designing stage. The researchers designed the experiment tools. The third stage was the development stage. The researchers provided the materials to experiment. The fourth stage was the implementation stage. The researchers used the pre-created tool in a trial run test. Then, the fifth stage was the evaluation stage. This stage involved the reliability test based on the data validity of the experiment results. The results showed that: (1) the design of the modest water pump was applicable as the media of fluid mechanics learning, (2) the pretest-posttest results of the trial run test showed the improved aspect of the learners' scientific process skills; and (3) the learners' responses toward the design as the learning media for fluid mechanics was categorized "excellent."

Abstract

Development is research with the output of a product, either simply or structurally. Development research is used to design and produce a product systematically and meet the universal internal practicality criteria and use a scientific framework to realize physics education students, of course through a virtual laboratory that suits student needs. This study aims to develop an online-based practicum or e-learning using a virtual laboratory on electrical circuit material. This type of research uses Research and Development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall model. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling, which is a large-scale field trial of 18 students from Physics Education students, FKIP UHAMKA, East Jakarta. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, and documentation, while data analysis techniques using gain score test, quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Model validation is carried out using expert judgment using the Delphi technique. The results of this study are (1) online/virtual laboratory practicum model; (2) development of an online/virtual laboratory electric circuit practicum with alternating current material; (3) the web-based student practicum model is feasible to apply. very good. The virtual laboratory is viewed from a prophetic perspective by using a questionnaire to measure student's prophetic during online practicums and collecting practicum assignments. The feasibility of using a virtual laboratory with an average value of 92% with good criteria when using a virtual laboratory is indicated by the overall average value for 4 (four) high-level user prophetic principles with a shidiq average of 8.64, Trustworthiness / responsibility with an average 9.08 average and tabligh/communicative with an average of 9.33 and fathonah/curiosity with an average of 8.67. The overall prophetic average was 8.93. The conclusion is that the electric circuit practicum through a virtual laboratory is feasible to train prophetically in student practicum on alternating current material.

Abstract

We reported the methylene blue (MB) degradation by the photocatalysis method. This work aimed to know the effectiveness of degradation using a MgFe2O4:TiO2 composite. Synthesis of the composite used the sol-gel method. We synthesized three samples with ratios between MgFe2O4 and TiO2. Those were 100:0, 50:50, and 75:25, respectively. Sample (75:25) degraded MB of 47.23% with a reaction rate of 5.326 x 10-3 minute-1 under solar radiation. Whereas, without solar radiation, a sample showed a lower reaction rate. It happened because the sunlight produced photon energy to produce OH* radical so that it could activate the sample to absorb the dye. Reusable test resulted 19.73% degradation of MB for 100:0, 17.03% for 50:50, and 20.59% for 75:25 for 120 minutes. The XRD result for 75:25 has three phases, which are MgFe2O4 with cubic structure, TiO2 with tetragonal structure, and Fe2O3 with hexagonal structure. This work indicated that the sol-gel method could synthesize composite structures, and the sample may be used to remove methylene blue.
