Abstract

At the stage of a construction work one of the main problems in soft soil is the large land decline. The large decrease is due to the decrease in soil. The condition of poor base soil in the form of clay soil needs to be done to improve the basic soil to be able to support the construction load. One method used as land improvement is by geotextiles. The type of geotextile used in the construction of the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi toll road project, Parbarakan-Lubuk Pakam Sta.42 + 750-Sta.47 + 600 is a geotextile PP woven polypropylene. The geotextile type uses non woven geotextile while the study is geotextile polypropylene woven, Non woven tensile strength 20 kN / m required 1 layer of geotextile while tensile strength Polypropylene woven 30 kN / m required 2 layers of geotextile. From these calculations can be concluded that the use of geotextiles can be used as one of the repair and retrofitting.

Abstract

Teransportasi is the most important means in a country, the development or absence of a country can be measured from the progress teransportasi existing in a conutry, the problems that many occur in Indonesia is a high traffic accident level, especially at the intersections of every road in Indonesia.Accidents are accidental or unexpected events that result in death, injury, or damage to objects. The outline of the accident is caused by four factors, namely human, vehicle, road and environment.TRAFFIC CONFLICT TECHNIQUE (TCT) is a method of observation conducted by collecting accidents that almost happened and see the pettern of the occurrence of accidents. Traffic Conflict Technique (TCT) developed by Departeman of traffic planning and engineering di Lund University di Swedia. Time to Accident (TA) is the time left since evasive action is done until the time of the collision if the road users do not change the speed of the vehicle and does not change the direction of the speed of the vehicle. The TA value is calculated based on the estimated distance (D) and vehicle speed (V) obtained from the survey results.After doing research with TCT method, it is found that the location of the research has the potential to couse an accident.In other words, this method can be used to improve the safety and comfort of road users, can provide a picture of the point of conflict at the intersection of a potential cause of accidents.

Abstract

The soil is an essential element of a structure under construction so that the soil should have a good carrying capacity. But the fact the field is found soil that has the low bearing capacity, so it is necessary to conduct soil stabilisation with lime. The study aims to determine the percentage that is effective in adding lime and the effect of adding lime to the soil physical properties change in terms of the value of CBR (California Bearing Ratio) to the long curing time. This research was conducted in the laboratory, by testing the physical properties of soil and the strong support of land (CBR) with the addition of lime variation of 1%, 3%, and 5% by long curing 0, 4, 7 and 14 days. Tests were conducted with two treatments, soil samples were cured first and then compacted and samples were pressed first and brooded. The result is the value of CBR. %. From the results of the value of the California Bearing Ratio can be seen that the addition of sand quarsa on soil clays showed an increase in the value of the California Bearing Ratio in soil clays.

Abstract

In the planning of multi-storey construction buildings need to pay attention to all aspects that affect the structure of the building and consideration of mature, especially if a multi-story building is designed to withstand earthquakes, the structure considerations will affect the planner in determining alternative planning. Multi-storey building planning needs to pay attention to several criteria, including strength criteria, good structural behavior at the stage of the earthquake plan as well as economical aspects. Discussion topics focused on the comparison of reinforcement plan beam dimension to structural analysis. The purpose of this report is to know and control how the calculation of flexural repetition on the beam structure. For solving this problem a case study is provided that provides theoretical information and analysis. Information in the form of data is processed through computer simulation Program Structure Analysis. Above modeling is made, analyzed to obtain results and discussed for calculation of beam reinforcement dimension ratio. The result of calculation obtained from comparison of reinforcement dimension of portal structure of AS-32 port obtained less amount of reinforcement result of calculation from amount of reinforcement used in field with max comparison value 33%, the difference happened because different assumptions or methods in the calculation analysis.

Abstract

Concrete is a material that is widely used and become a major element in the building. The advantages of concrete, among others, have a strong high pressure than the tensile strength, easily formed, does not require special care, the material is easy to obtain from the surrounding, and more durable than other building materials. The more concrete is used as the constituent material of the concrete, hence encouraging research to develop the material as well as the way of making concrete. Hazelnut shell is one type of particle that is very light weight in a dry and quite hard. Where the hazelnut shell is it self known as a lot of waste accumulated and tend to become garbage because its utilization is still small or relatively small, so it needs to be handled seriously. In addition, today hazelnut shell is only used for a small need only. The purpose of this research is to find out the compressive strength of concrete and to utilize the waste of hazelnut shell as 10%, 20% and 30% concrete additives with the planned K225 concrete quality, with 28 days concrete plan, The addition of hazelnut shell to the concrete mixture resulted decrease in compressive strength of normal concrete in each variation of the percentage. This is because the mixture of hazelnut shell is not strong enough to be a substitute for coarse aggregates, resulting in a decrease in the compressive strength of the concrete
