Abstract

Reading is an extremely effective means of extending our command of language, so it has a crucial place in classroom in which language learning is a central purpose. In teaching reading, a media is needed; it can make the students motivating and interesting. One of the media used was blog. Blog media can be adopted in any classroom to encourage active learning among students. The problems stated in this study are what extent that blog as teaching media effective in teaching reading at first semester of STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong in the academic years 2011-2012? and how to use blog as teaching media in teaching  reading at first semester of STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong in the academic years 2011-2012? This is a classroom action research. In this study, there were three cycle must be conducted with total of students were 35 students as a research subject. The writer used an observation of students activity and a test to evaluate the students’ learning result in reading comprehension in form of multiple choices test that consisted of 20 items which each items consisted of four options After collecting and calculating the data, the researcher found that the successful percentage of each cycles were: for observation of students learning result got at cycle I (2,7), cycle II (4,6), cycle III (8,0) and the result of students learning evaluation got at cycle I (54,28%), cycle II (68,57%), cycle III (91,42%). Based on the result of data collection, using blog as a media in teaching reading comprehension was more effective than students who were taught by conventional strategy. Key Words: Blog as a media and Teaching Reading

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan prestasi belajar antara pembelajaran biologi menggunakan model CTL dengan media gambar dan media riil, (2) Perbedaan prestasi belajar antara siswa yang mempunyai motivasi belajar tinggi dan motivasi belajar rendah, (3) Perbedaan prestasi belajar antara siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan awal tinggi dan siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan awal rendah, (4) Interaksi antara penggunaan model CTL dengan media gambar dan media riil terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, (5) Interaksi antara penggunaan model CTL dengan media gambar dan media riil terhadap kemampuan awal siswa, (6) Interaksi antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan awal siswa, dan (7) Interaksi antara penggunaan model CTL, motivasi belajar, dan kemampuan awal siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Populasi adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Selong Tahun Pelajaran 2010/2011, sejumlah 6 kelas. Sampel diambil dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling sejumlah 2 kelas. Teknik pengumpulan data variabel  prestasi belajar dan kemampuan awal digunakan metode tes, Variabel motivasi belajar dengan metode angket. Hipotesis yang digunakan adalah anava dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2 x 2. Berdasarkan hasil analisa data dapat disimpulkan: (1) Ada perbedaan prestasi belajar antara pembelajaran biologi menggunakan model CTL dengan media gambar dan media riil, (2) Ada perbedaan prestasi belajar antara siswa yang mempunyai motivasi belajar tinggi dan motivasi belajar rendah, (3) Ada perbedaan prestasi belajar antara siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan awal tinggi dan siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan awal rendah, (4) Tidak ada interaksi antara penggunaan model CTL dengan media gambar dan media riil terhadap motivasi belajar siswa, (5) Ada interaksi antara penggunaan model CTL dengan media gambar dan media riil terhadap kemampuan awal siswa, (6) Ada interaksi antara motivasi belajar dan kemampuan awal siswa, dan (7) Tidak ada nteraksi antara penggunaan model CTL, motivasi belajar, dan kemampuan awal siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran model CTL, Media Gambar, Media Riil, Motivasi Belajar, Kemampuan Awal, Prestasi Belajar, Pertumbuhan dan Perkembangan Makhluk Hidup

Abstract

This study deals with the kinds of gender injustice issues that have been done to the woman figure in novel “Perempuan Di Titik Nol (Women At Point Zero) by Nawal El-Sadawi and its relevance to literature learning in senior high schools. Besides, the purpose of the study is to identify the image of woman figures in the novel. To achieve of the objectives above, the study used qualitative design. To analyze the data obtained, the researcher used Content Analysis. Based on the analysis, the researcher found that gender injustice happened to the leading woman figure in the novel from before, during, and after their marriage. The kinds of gender injustice are in the forms of woman marginalization, woman subordination, woman stereotype, violence againts woman and woman’s neurotic. The result of this study is useful for literature learning theoretically and practically. Theoretically, the result of this study enriches the literature’s theories and practically (especially to literature learning) it can contribute concepts for literature learning development oriented to student’s awareness of their attitudes in facing gender injustice issues in this life. Key words: gender injustice, woman image, literature learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada efektifitas Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dengan Setting Kooperatif GI terhadap peningkatan Aktivitas dan Hasil belajar mahasiswa pada perkuliahan Evaluasi Hasil belajar di program Studi Pendidikan  Ekonomi STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu  Untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan  Model pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah dengan settting kooperatif GI terhadap peningkatan Aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa pada perperkuliahan Evaluasi Hasil Belajar di program studi Pendidikan Ekonomi. Prosedur penelitian yaitu dengan menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan 2 siklus dengan 4 tahap yaitu Perencanaan,pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi/evaluasi dan Refleksi. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang mengampu matakuliah Evaluasi Hasil Belajar semester IV kelas C dengan jumlah 27 orang . Tehnik pengumpulan data dengan menggunakan metode tes untuk Hasil belajar dan Observsi untuk mengamati peningkatan aktivitas belajar mahasiswa.  Hasil penelitian terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II untuk hasil belajar adalah dari 55,56% (cukup) menjadi 81,48,% (Tinggi), ini berarti mahasiswa telah dapat menyelesaikan tes/tugasnya dalam memecahkan masalah dengan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritisnya tanpa mendapat bantuan dosen sebesar 81,48%.atau 22 orang dengan nilai B, dan  hanya 2 orang siswa atau sebesar 7,41% siswa saja menyelesaikan tugasnya dengan baik tetapi dengan bantuan dosen,  diberikan nilai C. Sedangkan mendapatkan nilai sangat tinngi sebanyak 3 orang atau 11,11%  dengan nilai A yang mendapatkan nilai sangat tinggi,mahasiswa tersebut dapat menyelesaikan tes/tugas yang diberikan oleh dosen tanpa bantuan yang begitu banyak karena mahasiswa tersebut tergolong aktif dan cepat memahami dan mengerti penjelasan dosen dan lebih aktif dalam mencari bahan materi yang terdapat di literatur yang mereka bawa /dipinjam di perpustakaan. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah, Kooperatif GI,  Peningkatan Aktivitas dan Hasil Belajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk mengetahui bagaimana Peningkatan Kedisiplinan Siswa setelah diberikan Layanan Informasi  di MA NW Wanasaba Tahun pelajaran 2010/2011. Penelitian ini menggunakan PTK. Data dianalisis dengan menganalisis hasil observasi dan wawancara yang telah terkumpul yaitu dengan menggunakan analisa data kuantitatif dan analisa deskriptif persentase. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji hipotesis yang menyatakan Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata kedisiplinan siswa  42 dan tingkat persentase yang didapatkan 60 % kemudian terjadi peningkatan pada siklus ke II dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 53.42 dan persentase peningkatannya adalah 76.32 %. Kedisiplinan siswa pada siklus I termasuk dalam keriteria cukup disiplin. Sedangkan pada siklus II kedisiplinan siswa termasuk dalam keriteria disiplin tinggi. Pemberian layanan informasi dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa MA NW wanasaba tahun pelajaran 2010/2011. Kata Kunci: Layanan Informasi dan Kedisiplinan Siswa

Abstract

This research uses experimental methods. Its population was all of the students in the first semester of MA Muallimat NW Pancor Nusa Tenggara Barat in the academic year 2010/2011. The samples was taken using cluster random sampling, consisted of two classes, the class X-1 were treated using type of learning STAD and classes X-3 were treated using type of learning 2nd Jigsaw. The data was collected using tes student’s achievement, and questionnaire for critical thinking ability and orientation of collaborativepersonality. The hypotheses of the research were tasted by using a three-way analysisof variance (ANOVA) with unequal cells aided by the computer software minitab 15. Then, they were tasted by using the Main effects plot formulae.Base on the result of the analysis, conclusions were drawn as follows. 1) there was an effect of the use cooperative learning type STAD and 2nd Jigsaw toward student’s achievement, (2) There was no effect of the critical thinking ability toward student achievement, (3) There was no effect of the orientation of collaboratve personality toward student’s achievement, 4) There was no interaction between cooperative learning and student’s critical thinking ability toward student achievement, 5) There was an interaction between cooperative learning and the student’s orientation of collaborative personality toward student’s achievement, 6) There was no interaction between the student’s critical thinking ability and orientation of collaborative personality, 7) There was no interaction between cooperative learning, the critical thinking ability, and  orientation of collaborative personallity toward student’s achievement. Key words: STAD, 2nd Jigsaw, critical thinking ability, orientation of collaborative personallity, Kinematics of linier Motion, and student’s achievement.

Abstract

The purposes of the research were to know (1) the difference in students’ achievement between student who learnt using card and crossword puzzle techniques; (2) the difference in students’ achievement between students who had high and low social interaction; (3) the difference in students’ achievement between student who had high and low students’ prior knowledge; (4) the interaction  between chemistry learning media and students’ social interaction towards student achievement; (5) the interaction between chemistry learning media and students’ prior knowledge towards student achievement; (6) the interaction between students’ social interaction and students’ prior knowledge towards student achievement; and (7) the interaction among chemistry learning media, students’ social interaction, and students’ prior knowledge towards student achievement. Experiment method used in this research. The population of the study was the tenth grade students of Madrasah Aliyah Mu’alimat NW Pancor in the academic year 2010/2011, consisting of eight classes . The sample was taken using cluster random sampling, consisted of two classes. The data was collected using test for student achievement and student prior knowledge, and questionnaire for student social interaction . The data analyses were performed by using  Anova with 2x2x2 factorial design with α = 5%. The results of the study can be concluded that (1) the achievement of the students taught by the card technique of TGT was better than that of those taught by crossword puzzle technique; (2) the achievement of students’ high social interaction was better than that of students’ low social interaction; (3) the achievement of high students’ prior knowledge was better than that of low students’ prior knowledge; (4) there was no interaction between chemistry learning using TGT and students’ social interaction; (5) there was an interaction between chemistry learning using TGT interaction and students’ prior knowledge; (6) there was no interaction between students’ social interaction and students’ prior knowledge; and (7) there was no interaction among chemistry learning using TGT interaction, students’ social interaction, and students’ prior knowledge. Key words: Chemistry learning,  TGT type, card technique, crossword /puzzle technique, social interaction, students’ prior knowledge, student achievement.
