Abstract

This study aimed to geting information about the relationship among the characters and identifying characters agronomic direct and indirect influence on grain yield. Many as four varieties of soybean (Glycine max) included the local varieties as comparison was evaluated on dry land land in Manokwari, Sobey District, Village Sobey at MT I month from January to December, 2013. The experiment was conducted by using a randomized block design (RAK) non factorial, with three blocks as replication. The variable agronomic characters were observed terms of height, the number of productive branches, number ofpods per plant, number of empty pods per plant, total number of pods, and the results. Data were analyzed with simple correlation and continued with path coefficient analyses. The results based on both method of analysis, soybean varieties of high yielding varieties which had total number of pods and a high number of pods. Therefore, the total number of pods and number of pods were recommended to be used as selection criteria in order to obtain soybean varieties for high yield in dry land.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Jalan Durian Lk 1 Kelurahan Kisaran Naga Kecamatan Kisaran Timur, Kabupaten Asahan, dengan topografi datar dan tinggi tempat ± 12 m dpl. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Nopember 2012 sampai bulan Februari 2013. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial yang terdiri dari 2 faktor untuk faktor pertama dengan 4 level perlakuan, untuk faktor kedua 3 level perlakuan. Faktorpertama adalah perlakuan pemangkasan 4 taraf yaitu : P0 = tanpa perlakuan (kontrol), P1 = pemangkasan pada ruas ke 6 dan seterusnya dipelihara 1 daun dan P2 = pemangkasan pada ruas ke 6 dan seterusnya dipelihara 2 daun, dan P3 = pemangkasan pada ruas ke 6 dan seterusnya dipelihara 3 daun. Faktor kedua adalah pemberian pupuk Seprint dengan 3 taraf yaitu S1 = dosis 3 ml/l air, S2 = dosis 6 ml/l air dan S3 = dosis 9 ml/l air. Hasil penelitian bahwa Perlakuan pemangkasan menunjukkan pengaruh tidak berbeda nyata terhadap diameter batang umur 2 dan 4 minggu setelah tanam tetapi sangat berpengaruh nyata pada umur 6 minggu setelah tanam, berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap produksi per tanaman sampel dan produksi per plot mentimun. Perlakuan Pemberian pupuk Seprint menunjukkan pengaruh sangat berbeda nyata terhadap diameter batang umur 2, 4 dan 6 minggu setelah tanam, sertasangat berbeda nyata terhadap produksi per tanaman sampel dan produksi per plot tanaman mentimun.

Abstract

This research analyzes benefit and profit of Gambier farming and identifies the factors for its productivity. I surveyed 30 farmers in Kecamatan Harau, Lima Puluh Kota district, where Gambier is widely cultivated. Farming analysis is applied for benefit and profit calculation. Cobb Douglass model is utilized for factors of productivity identification. Farmers cultivate varies hectares of land for Gambier, from 1-3 Ha. Its productivity is considerably low, 737.5 Kg/Ha/years. The benefit is Rp. 16.093.475,-/ year, and the profit is Rp 288.208,20,-/Ha/yearin average respectively. Farmers’ monthly income from Gambier farming is Rp.1.341.122,917 and monthly profit is Rp. 690.684,02,- in average. In addition, fertilizer (urea), herbicide (round up), plant age, labor, and farmer’s education are the factors which significantly correlated (F test) to Gambier’s productivity. However, it is not significantly partial correlation (t test) betweenthose factors to Gambier productivity. Based on these findings, farmers have to manage their Gambier farming properly by using its residue for organic fertilizer and apply good soil management.

Abstract

Research relating to interception still less, causing need to be done research of interception at some crop types, so that in the end will be gotten interception value magnitude which more specific. Crop applied in this research that is crop Kopi and Pinus. Interception analysis happened at crop will be modeled at equipment of test rainfall simulator. This research is expansion of conceptual model from method SCS ( The Soil Conservation Service) applied for calculation interception based on at various form of crop canopies. The purpose of thisobservation is : 1) Develops interception model as characteristic function of rain and farm closing characteristic, 2) Makes interception program to utilize Visual Basic 60, 3) co-signature big interception for crop Kopi and Pinus. Result of research it is known that interception at crop Kopi bigger than interception of crop Pinus with maximum storage potency value ( Sv) for crop Kopi 2,66 cm and Pinus 1,24 cm, and value Canopy Coefficient ( CC) for crop Kopi is 7,89 andPinus 8,89. Abstract

The research was carried out in Molecular Biology Laboratory, Oil Palm Research Institute (IOPRI) Medan. The research was carried to examine genetic relationship between parents and their hybrids and to produce markers useful for purity hybrid testing. The analysis used in the study were RAPD. RAPD band profiles were used to detect genetic similarity among parents and progenies. Dendogram and correspondency matrix analysis were calculated by NumericalTaxonomy and Multivariate System (NTSys) versi on 2.02 sofware. This research used two populations consist of 20 progenies from BO5462D x BO5463D cross (population I) and 22 progenies from BO944T x BO713P crossing (population II), planted in Bah Jambi estate. The RAPD analysis was conducted by screening the primers gave polymorphic fragment among parent and the progeny. From 28 primers tested, 14 primers produced polymorphic marker, 11 primers monomorphic and 3 primers were unable to amplified. Among 14 primers thatproduced polymorphic bands, 7 RAPD were chosen, they OPJ-04, OPO-13, OPC-19,OPD-10, OPM-19, OPR-07, dan OPD-11. These 7 primers produced 52 bands. Primer OPJ-04 produced highest polymorphism loci (12 loci) and primer OPO-13 produced less polymorphism loci (4 loci). From the 7 primers used, there was 1 primer that can be used as genetic purity marker, this is primer OPD-11 and D_11_250 locus. Cluster analysis showed that population I, was clustered into 5 groups with genetic similarity around 62%. Group A consist of 8 progenies which were closely related to female parent and group B consist of 3 progenies closely related to male parent. Population II was clustered into two group (A and B) with genetic similarity 66%. Group A were devided into 6 sub groups, where sub group A2 consist of 8 progenies were closely related to female parent. Sub group A2, A3, dan A4 were closely related to male parent. Deviation analysis showed that in population I, there were found 3 off type progenies (number 3,8, and 15) and in population II, there were 4 off type progenies (number 26, 28, 30 dan 45).

Abstract

Ancaman dan krisis pangan dunia yang menggejala secara global sejak awal 2008 memiliki kaitan sangat erat dengan perubahan iklim global. Penurunan produksi pangan di berbagai negara disebabkan oleh berbagai perubahan iklim antara lain peningkatan kadar gas rumah kaca (GRK), perubahan pola curah hujan dan kejadian iklim ekstrim, peningkatan suhu udara, kenaikan muka air laut dan rob. Berdasar tipe fotosintesis, tanaman dibedakan menjadi C3, C4,dan CAM.Pada makalah ini diperlihatkan pengaruh pemanasan global terhadap beberapa spesies tanaman C3, baik diukur dari produktvitas tanaman, kandungan klorofil akibat suhu tinggi, serta evapotranspirasi. Tanaman yang dibahas adalah Phaseolus radiatus, Glicine max L., Capsicum frutescens L., dan Solanum tuberosum. Pada tanaman kacang hijau, volume curah hujan bulan Mei sangat mempengaruhi produktivitas kacang hijau yang ditanam pada musim tanam ke dua (MT) di lahan kering di Kabupaten Pati.Besarnya nilai evapotranspirasi kedelai dipengaruhi oleh curah hujan.jika jumlah curah hujan tinggi maka evapotrasnpirasi juga tinggi. Laju evepotranspirasi tanaman kedelai di Malang dari tahun 1997 – 2011 terus meningkat. 1997 – 2001 rata-rata laju evapotranspirasi kedelai 3.21 mm hari -1, 2002 – 2006rata-ratalaju evapotranspirasi kedelai 3.29 mm hari -1, 2007 – 2011 laju evapotranspirasi kedelai 3.35 mm hari -1.Dampak perubahan iklim menyebabkan terjadinya.
