Abstract

A valid and practical learning Interactive Multimedia of Autoplay Media Studio 8 for Rate of Reaction topics has been developed. The research method was Research and Development with Plomp model which consist of 4 steps; Prelimenary Investigation, Design, Realization, and Validation, evaluation, revision. Media was validated by three validators and limited trial by practitioners (users). The results showed an average score of validation was 96.12%. Based on questionnaire responses of 3 teachers and 20 students each earned an average score of 96.25% and 94.5%, respectively. From the results of the average validation score and limited trial score of Autoplay media studio 8 Interactive Multimedia for Rate of Reaction topics was valid and can be used as a learning media.Key words: autoplay media studio 8, interactive multimedia, rate of reaction

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan metode tugas/resitasi pada pokok bahasan hidrokarbon pada siswa SMA Negeri 11 Medan Kelas X semester II. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 11 Medan. Cara penarikan sampel adalah secara acak sehingga diperoleh dua kelas. Kelas pertama diberi pengajaran dengan metode kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan kelas kedua diberi pengajaran dengan metode tugas/resitasi. Dari data nilai rata-rata selisih post-test dan pre-test yang diperoleh dari kelas metode kooperatif tipe jigsaw adalah sebesar 36,125 dan kelas metode tugas/resitasi sebesar 31,757. Data ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang sangat kecil antara peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan metode tugas/resitasi atau dengan kata lain relatif sama. Adapun besarnya kontribusi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe jigsaw adalah sebesar 12,09 % dibandingkan dengan metode tugas/resitasi. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan thitung = 2,308 sedangkan harga ttabel (α = 0,05, dk = 75) = 1,985. Ini berarti Ha diterima atau dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode kooperatif tipe jigsaw dan metode tugas/resitasi pada pokok bahasan hidrokarbon pada siswa SMA Negeri 11 Medan kelas X.Kata kunci: metode jigsaw metode tugas/resitasi, hasil belajar

Abstract

The results of PISA's comperative studies show that the level of Indonesian science literacy is still low. From the results of the study stated that Indonesia is ranked 64 of 65 countries with a score of 382 science literacy on the study of natural science students. Necessary development of student’s worksheet to trace the ability of science literacy. The purpose of this research is to produce student’s worksheet based on problem based learning to trace the ability of science literacy which is practical and effective. The method used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The results of the research have shown that student’s worksheet developed practical and effective. Student’s worksheet practicality seen from student response get good response equal to 94,99% with very good category. The effectiveness of student’s worksheet developed is seen from the gain score of the pre test and post test of the student.Key words: Student’s worksheet, practice, effective

Abstract

There are a lot of tofu industries in Indonesia from small to large industries. The industrial activity produces waste. The content of organic substance in the liquid waste potentially pollute the environment, so waste treatment is needed before discharge into the environment. This study aims to determine the ability of water hyacinth to reduce the content of  BOD, COD, odor, color and increasing pH of the tofu that produce in these factory. This research was conducted at the tofu’s factory Medan Ayahanda street and water hyacinth are taken around the river Deli Medan Maimon. BTKL (Balai Teknik Kesehatan Lingkungan) and Analis Department Health Polytecnic Medan are where analysis is done from January to August 2017. The method used to measure its value is BOD with DO Meter, COD with open Reflow method using COD Reactor tool, pH with pH meter, odor and color in a physical way. Based on the research results, water hyacinth proved effective can be used to reduce BOD and COD levels color, odor and raise pH on tofu liquid waste twith the same number of samples. Growing number of  water hyacinth in the tofu liquid waste, it will be more effective to lower levels of BOD, COD , smell, color and raising pH.Key words: waste water tofu, water hyacinth, absorption

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of STAD cooperative learning model is effectively used in improving students learning mastery, and how the students chemistry learning mastery on thermo-chemical subject after application of STAD cooperative learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research.The results of research proved that the application of STAD cooperative learning model effectively used in improving students' chemistry learning mastery on thermo-chemical subject. Average learning outcomes of students in the first cycle of 74.49 with the completeness level of learning results of 82.05% (not completed in a classical), after the learning cycle II of the test results obtained learning average student learning outcome of 80.38 with a mastery level of student learning outcomes of 100% (completed thoroughly in classical). Student learning activities during learning from cycle I to cycle II by applying STAD cooperative learning model has increased. Thus, the results of this study are expected teachers especially chemistry teachers do collaborative work in the PTK as a vehicle for the development of professionalism of teachers in learning and it's time to use innovative learning, such as STAD type cooperative learning model.Key words: student learning mastery, cooperative learning model type STAD, PTK
