AQLAM: Journal of Islam and Plurality (P-ISSN 2528-0333; E-ISSN: 2528-0341) is a journal published by the Ushuluddin, Adab and Dakwah Faculty, State Islamic Institute of Manado, Indonesia. AQLAM published twice a year and focused on the Islamic studies especially the basic sciences of Islam, including the study of the Qur’an, Hadith, Islamic Philosophy, Islamic History and Culture, Theology, Mysticism, and Local Wisdom in Indonesia. Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to find out politics as a way of practicing Sufism based on the concept of asfar al-arba'ah Mulla Shadra. The research method used is qualitative research with a literature study approach, namely by examining or interpreting written material about the concept of asfar al-arba'ah. The results showed that the concept of four journeys (asfar al-arba'ah) Mulla Shadra consists of: the journey from being to God; second, the journey in the [names of] God with God; third, the journey from God to being with God; fourth, the journey in being with God. Mulla Shadra places the fourth spiritual journey as a political journey. The substance of politics is understood as a conscious effort to uncover the realities and regulations that dominate conscious activity and lead human collective life to the desired destiny. This view necessitates the necessity of regulation for society to sustain a harmonious life through submission to God. Submission to God means submission to the rules and traditions of the sunnah, including prophetic inevitability. Therefore, Mulla Shadra understands that the purpose of the mission of the prophets is the improvement of religion and the human world through philosophical and political management.Keywords: Mulla Shadra, Sufism, Politics, Asfar al-Arba'ahAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui politik sebagai jalan praktik tasawuf berdasarkan konsep asfar al-arba’ah Mulla Shadra. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatis dengan pendekatan studi pustaka yakni dengan mengkaji atau menginterpretasi bahan tertulis tentang konsep asfar al-arba’ah. Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa konsep empat perjalanan (asfar al-arba’ah) Mulla Shadra terdiri atas: perjalanan dari makhluk menuju Tuhan ; kedua, perjalanan di dalam [asma-asma] Tuhan bersama Tuhan; ketiga, perjalanan dari Tuhan menuju makhluk bersama Tuhan; keempat, perjalanan di dalam makhluk bersama Tuhan. Mulla Shadra menempatkan perjalanan ruhani keempat sebagai perjalanan politik. Substansi politik dimaknai sebagai upaya sadar menyingkap realitas dan regulasi yang mendominasi aktivitas sadar dan menggiring kehidupan kolektif manusia kepada takdir yang diinginkan. Pandangan ini meniscayakan kemestian regulasi bagi masyarakat untuk melangsungkan kehidupan yang harmoni melalui ketundukan pada Tuhan. Tunduk pada Tuhan berarti tunduk pada aturan dan tradisi sunnah, termasuk keniscayaan kenabian. Karenanya Mulla Shadra memahami bahwa tujuan misi dari para nabi adalah sebagai perbaikan agama dan dunia manusia melalui manajemen filosofis dan politik.Kata Kunci: Mulla Shadra, Tasawuf, Politik, Asfar al-Arba’ah

Abstract

Abstract: This article discusses narcissistic behavior in practicing religion as contained in prophetic history. The theme of narcissism amidst the prominence of social media can be said to be always relevant and evergreen, because narcissistic disorders can penetrate all groups. Including people who are labeled pious and diligent in worship. Interestingly, people with NPD even existed in the time of the Prophet, complete with characteristics and indicators of narcissism from modern psychology. Feeling the most right, the most entitled, arrogant, is indeed part of the “adab” chapter which is the main focus of the Islamic taching. So the Prophet taught us a way - or at least one way - to mentally forge a way to ward off the NPD disorder. Through interdisciplinary analysis that combines psychological and historical approaches, this research examines hadiths related to the NPD theme using a thematic-contextual study model. This research aims to contribute to a deeper understanding of narcissistic behavior in a religious context and offers potential solutions to reduce these tendencies.Key Words : Disorder, narcissism, humilityAbstrak Artikel ini membahas tentang perilaku narsistik dalam beragama yang termuat dalam riwayat kenabian. Tema narsisme di tengah prominennya media sosial boleh dibilang selalu relevan dan evergreen, karena gangguan narsistik bisa mempenetrasi semua kalangan. Termasuk orang yang dilabeli saleh dan rajin beribadah sekalipun. Menariknya, pengidap NPD bahkan sudah ada di zaman Nabi lengkap dengan karakteristik dan indikator narsisme dari psikologi modern. Merasa paling benar, paling berhak, angkuh, memang bagian dari bab adab yang menjadi sorotan utama agama Islam. Maka Nabi pun mengajarkan cara –atau sekurang-kurangnya salah satu cara untuk menempa mental guna menepis gangguan NPD tersebut. Melalui analisis interdisipliner yang menggabungkan pendekatan psikologi dan sejarah, penelitian ini meneliti hadis-hadis berkaitan dengan tema NPD dengan model kajian tematik-kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang perilaku narsistik dalam konteks agama dan menawarkan solusi potensial untuk mengurangi kecenderungan tersebut.Kata Kunci : Gangguan, narsisme, kerendahan hati.
