Abstract

Mathematics teaches students logical thinking, analysis, synthesis, critical, and creative. As high as students are able to work together in solving the problems faced. To achieve all of that we need an effective learning process, one of which is by applying realistic mathematical learning. The background of this research is the low learning outcomes of mathematics in grade I students of SD Negeri 019 Bumi Ayu. The purpose of this study is to improve student mathematics learning outcomes. The form of research used is classroom action research. The study was conducted in 2 cycles, each through the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed the basic score of students completeness was 46.1%, the percentage of completeness in cycle I was 73%, and the percentage of completeness in cycle II was 92.3%. On the basic score the number of students who completed was 12 people, while the number of students who did not complete was 14 people. In the first cycle the number of students who completed was 19 people, while the number of students who did not complete was 7 people. In cycle II the number of students who completed was 24 while the number of students who did not complete was 2 people. Based on the data obtained above, it can be concluded that by applying realistic mathematics learning (PMR) can improve the learning outcomes of grade I students of SD Negeri 019 Bumi Ayu

Abstract

Critical thinking is sensible thinking that focuses on deciding what they should do. This research method uses the 4-D model proposed by Thiagarajan and Semmel with four stages consisting of define, design, development and disseminate. This study only evaluates validators in the value of test instruments with research results assessed by validators about the contents of critical thinking test instruments with an average of 87.5 in the very feasible category, while in the validation results the presentace of critical thinking assessment instruments with an average of 98% in the very decent category. For this reason, it was concluded that the critical thinking test reading instrument with graphic organizer media was appropriate to be used to measure students' abilities in critical thinking

Abstract

The background of this study is the lack of student attention to learning material. This study aims to describe the influence and differences in the ability to determine the intrinsic elements of students' short stories using the sociodrama method. This research was conducted in class V SD Negeri 131 Pekanbaru. Based on the results of the study it was found that there is an influence of the ability to determine the intrinsic element in the experimental class as seen from the average of the initial test and the final test, namely the initial test of 60.63 to 81.88 when the final test with a large influence of 56%. In the final test of the control class and the experimental class obtained t_count = 21,708 ≥ t_table = 1,999, so there is a difference in the ability to determine the intrinsic element between the control class and the experimental class. So, there is an influence (experimental class) and differences in abilities (between the control class and the experimental class) fifth grade students of SD Negeri 131 Pekanbaru

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning to read understanding based on CIRC strategies as an effort to instill character education in grade VI elementary schools that is valid, practical, and effective. This type of research is research and development. The development model used is a 4-D model consisting of the stages of defining, designing, developing and disseminating. This research data from the validity test was obtained through the validation sheet of teaching materials. Practicality data was collected through observation sheets of the implementation of the lesson plans, teacher and student response questionnaires, and interviews with teachers. Based on the validity test obtained the percentage of RPP 91.3% with a very valid category. This means that the RPP component is in accordance with the Ministry of Education Regulation No. 41 of 2007. The results of the validity of teaching materials with a percentage of 90% with a very valid category, this means that teaching materials that have been developed are in accordance with curriculum demands. The practicality test results of the implementation of lesson plans with a percentage of 95.3% with the category of very practical, during the trial teacher has no difficulty in implementing learning. The percentage of teacher responses to the questionnaire was 92.5% with a very practical category, the teacher stated the teaching material developed was different from the previous teaching material, easy to use in learning. The percentage of questionnaire responses of students was 90.2% with a very practical category, teaching materials were also interesting for students because they were designed with more interesting colors and drawings. Judging from the effectiveness test, the character values in the trials averaged 82.8%, while in the distribution of the students' character values 81%. In reading skills, the percentage while testing is 85%, while in the spread is 89%. Based on the above description, it can be concluded that the reading materials for understanding CIRC-based strategies developed can be declared valid, practical and effective

Abstract

Teaching and learning process is a very complex process. In order for the learning process to achieve results that are in accordance with the objectives, teachers need to consider and choose effective teaching strategies. There are still many Physical Education teachers who have not used the Direct Instruction and Project Based Learning models in Physical Education subjects because they do not understand, are lazy, and do not want to try, are busy, low learning outcomes do not reach the Minimum completeness Criteria and the teacher does not like this teaching style. This study aims to determine the difference in influence between the direct instruction model and the project based learning model on the improvement of backhand learning outcomes for fourth grade students at Cipaku Elementary School The method that will be used by the writer is an experimental method. Then the design used in this study is the Randomize Pretest-Posttest Control Goup Design. The population of this research is all fourth grade students of Cipaku Public Elementary School. The results obtained in accordance with the hypothesis that the authors propose obtained an answer that there are differences in the effect between the direct instruction model and the project based learning model on the improvement of backhand learning outcomes in fourth grade students at Cipaku Elementary School
