Abstract

In 2021, there will be 9 million cases of measles worldwide. Twenty-two countries have large numbers of measles infections. The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia or Ministry of Health recorded that there were more than 3,341 cases of measles spread across 223 districts/cities in 31 provinces. The control of measles cases carried out by the Indonesian government has been through vaccination since 2000. The first vaccine is given to children aged nine months, the second vaccine is given to children aged 18 months, and the third dose is in grades 1-6 of elementary school (SD). This research uses the SVEIR mathematical model for the spread of measles with adjustments to government efforts and recommendations from the Indonesian Pediatrician Association (IDAI) to prevent an increase in the spread of measles through preventative vaccination. In this SVEIR model, there are seven classes, namely Susceptible (S), first dose vaccination (V1), second dose vaccination (V2), third dose vaccination (V3), Exposed (E), Infected (I), and Recovered (R). This research aims to analyze the SVEIR model on the spread of measles with three vaccinations, the stability of the equilibrium point, and determine the effect of vaccination in controlling measles. The analysis results show that the endemic equilibrium point is asymptotically unstable, and the non-endemic equilibrium point is asymptotically stable with R_0=0.0736829 <1. This indicates that measles will disappear on the 260th day or around 8.5 months after implementing the vaccination program.

Abstract

Let G=(V,E) be a graph. The k-splitting graph of G, denoted by S_k (G), is a graph constructed by adding to each vertex v of G as many as k new vertices such that the k new vertices are adjacent to the vertices that are adjacent to v. The k-shadow graph of G, denoted by D_k (G), is a graph constructed by taking k copies of G and connecting each of these vertices with each of its neighboring vertices. The energy of a graph G is defined as the sum of the absolute values of all eigenvalues in the matrix for the graph. In this article, we study the energy of the k-splitting graph and the k-shadow graph, which are the energy of the adjacency matrix, the energy of the maximum degree matrix, the energy of the minimum degree matrix. We also revise the Sombor energy of the k-splitting graph and the k-shadow graph and we compare this result with the results carried out by previous researchers.

Abstract

In 2008, Boccuto and Candeloro [4] introduced a variant of Riemann integral for Riesz valued functions defined on an order interval in a Riesz space. In this paper, we present an equivalent definition and several Cauchy criterion versions of the integral. Furthermore, some applications of the Cauchy criterion are provided.

Abstract

Mathematical analysis has several important connections with graph theory. Although initially, they may seem like two separate branches of mathematics, there are relationship between them in several aspects, such as graphs as mathematical objects that can be analyzed using concepts from analytic mathematics. In graph theory, one often studies distance, connectivity, and paths within a graph. These can be further analyzed using analytic mathematics, such as in the structure of natural numbers. Literature studies on graph theory, especially Eulerian graphs, are interesting to explore. An Eulerian path in a graph G is a path that includes every edge of graph G exactly once. An Eulerian path is called closed if it starts and ends at the same vertex. The concept of granum theory as a generalization of undirected graphs on number structures provides a rigorous approach to graph theory and demonstrates some fundamental properties of undirected graph generalization. The focus of this study is to introduce the connectivity properties of Eulerian granum. The granum G(e,M) is called connected if for every u,v ∈ M with u ≠ v there exists a path subgranumG^' (e,M^' )⊆ G(e,M)  where u,v ∈ M^' and is called an Eulerian granum if there exists a surjective mapping ϕ∶ [∥E(G(e,M))∥ + 1]→ M such that e(ϕ(n),ϕ(n+1))=1 for every n ∈ [‖E(G(e,M))‖]. This property provides a deeper understanding of the structure and characteristics of Eulerian granum, which have not been fully comprehended until now.

Abstract

Abstract

The interacting two-tank system provides important benefits in maintaining water quality, preventing pollution, and optimizing the distribution of clean water in various industrial applications. Therefore, it is important to control the water level for the interacting two-tank system in order to generate drinking water of high quality that is suitable for consumption for the community and other living beings. In this article, we analysis the stability and controllability the model of the interacting two-tank system. The result of the analysis prove that the system is stable and controllable. Furthermore, to control the water level, we using two methods that is Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) and Pole Placement. We compared two control methods and examined which one provided faster stability and more robust from disturbances. Based on the simulation output, it can be concluded that Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) performs better than Pole Placement. Fuzzy Logic Controller (FLC) enables the system to achieve faster stability without overshoot and is more robust against disturbances. However, the simulation waiting time for Pole Placement is faster than FLC

Abstract

Equitable and quality education is one of the priority goals, both nationally and internationally, in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The quality of education in a region can be seen through the indicator of the percentage of out-of-school children aged 7-17 years. Kalimantan Island is one of the regions that has a high number of out-of-school children, higher than the national rate. To overcome this problem, appropriate policies are needed to improve the quality of education. Therefore, the provision of precise, accurate, and precise data is needed. This is especially true in the provision of “small area” data, at least at the district/city level. Although estimation at the kabupaten/kota level has been conducted by BPS, there is still a problem of low precision. One solution that can be applied in estimating is by using Small Area Estimation (SAE). This study aims to estimate the percentage of children aged 7-17 years who are not in school by district/city in Kalimantan Island in 2023. The author compares the estimation using Empirical Best Linear Unbiased Predictor (EBLUP) and Hierarchical Bayes Beta (HB Beta). The results show that the HB Beta estimation is better than the EBLUP estimation. Estimation using EBLUP resulted in two districts/cities with RSEs of more than 25 percent, namely Samarinda and Kutai Kartanegara. Meanwhile, estimation using HB Beta produces better precision with an overall RSE value below 25 percent
