Abstract

The third gender identitie’s phenomenon called "transgender" causing the pros and contoversial,especially the Jombang’s societies having a negative stigma about the existence of transgender so it’sarising a discrimination conflict. Based on the observations of researcher, wanted to know the extent ofconflict resolution for the transgender in the Jombang’s societies that has labeled “Kota Santri”. HowStaramuda Communitie’s roles as a communicator to merge conflict negative stigma of transgender thatlives in Jombang societies having a dominant of Islamic culture, by using communicative approach. Thisresearch uses a qualitative research to describe and analyze the phenomena, incident, social activities,attitudes, perceptions and ideas between the transgender being protected by Staramuda and Jombangsociety. By using the method of “indepth interview” with the informants of Staramuda Community andthe transgender, indicate results some of the causes of conflict related to cultural communication. Firstly,the existence of transgender considered as a violation of culture. The second, the diversity for minoritiesgender isn’t complete yet, especially for the transgender. Reviewed from DeVito’s about culturalcommunication, Staramuda community have their own viewpoint about the existence of transgender thatthey are also part of society of “Kota Santri” Jombang, by using an attitude of open-mindness, positiveattitude could change a negative stigma, social support, emphaty, which raised the equality in the society.Keywords : cultural communication, cultural conflict, transgender

Abstract

The development of communication technology, especially in the mass media made public with easyaccess to any information. No exception to the radio, with the creation of a mobile application that canbe freely downloaded through the Android-based mobile or IOS, the radio business people hope this canbe a tool that allows listeners to access radio anywhere and anytime. The emergence of new media andnew habits effect on the mass media. To meet these objectives, used in-depth interviews with communitymembers she and friends. This study uses the basic theory of mass media effects .And the result of thisresearch is that the effect occurs in members she and friends while listening to She Radio 99.6 FM viamobile application is the addition of listening to a radio broadcast schedule, causing a feeling of comfort,and a member of she and friends is also more positive about She Radio. Habits member she and friendsin listening to the radio using the mobile application is on average duration of 2 hours/day at a time andplace to listen to the broadcast that is between 6:00 to 10:00 o'clock pm in the House, between the hoursof 21:00 to 23:00 pm in the House, and in the Office the time between the hours of 11:00 to 16:00 o’clockpm. The main reason the replacement of the radio channel to another is due to the quality of She Radiomobile application is still not good enough (often die suddenly). Abstract

This film begins when Light Yagami finds a book that turned out to belong to a Shinigami (God ofDeath) named Ryuk (Ryuku). In the Death Note Ryuk owned, there are ways to use the Death Notewritten by him alone. Death Note is then used to realize his ideals is to create a clean new world of crime,with himself as a god, by writing the name of the perpetrator into Deathnote book, the offender will dieinstantly in 40 seconds in this study researchers with the theme or topic of fanaticism exist in a moviewith the title "the First Name Deathnote". Purpose of this research was to determine and analyze themeaning of the film, the message of social and moral student named Light Yagami and L in the filmDetective Deathnote The First Name. This research method is a method of semiotic analysis withqualitative descriptive research with interpretive paradigm. The object of research is a Light That aMurderer (KIRA) through symbols Deathnote message in the film The First Name. The results of thisstudy indicate bahwapemuda named Light Yagami Having high ideals to create a new world in whichthere is no crime, denggan using Light Deathnote book can kill all the people who are consideredunworthy of life in the world because of his criminal actions. The suggestion of this research for the filmobserver especially moviegoers are expected not to imitate him Light, which tends to have the ambition tobe the god of the world's poor, as well as showing the inability of the police in dealing with crime. Abstract

Television is one of the mass media which serves to provide information and entertainment to thepublic at large. In the development of a lot of programs that have been given by the mass media oftelevision as a public spectacle. Increasing number of events presented by television stations making thecommunity to choose a program that will show they consume. Institutions not only television stationserving domestic production alone event in obtaining public interest, but several television programs buymovie production abroad to be used as reference in the attention of audiences. One television stationprograms favored by our society today is a drama series Mahabharata. colossal drama series producedby the Indian state is able to attract the attention of television viewers. Formulation of the problem in thisresearch is "What is the motive audiences to viewing Mahabharata?". This study uses descriptivequalitative method by conducting interviews and observations. Informants in this study is the RW 007Gunung Gedangan Mojokerto. Abstract

Freedom of speech is a right of every individual to the community to express their opinions either incriticism, suggestion/comment, or opinion through various ways whether oral or in writing, directly orindirectly by utilizing social media, such as facebook, twitter, etc. However, sometimes peoples out ofcontrol using their freedom of rights, so there are others who feel offended and aggrieved. Such eventsare already common, and should end up in prison. Based from this incident, researchers wanted to knowwhether freedom of speech through facebook and twitter being limited to the existence of the law ofinformation and electronic transaction (UU ITE). This research uses narrative qualitative researchdesign, which this research aimed to describe and analyze phenomena, events, social activities, attitudes,perceptions, and thought of someone about freedom of speech through facebook and twitter being limitedby the existence of the law of the information and electronic transactions (UU ITE) are presented innarrative form. From the results of this research revealed that a person’s freedom of speech throughsocial media (facebook and twitter) is not to be limit, thus they feel comfortable because of their privacyrights are protected. Abstract

Surabaya city has a population of diverse ethnicities and cultures. Cross-cultural communicationis what makes interesting, because the convergence of a culture with other cultures, although there is adifference but still be able to live together. Stereotypes against ethnic, religious and ethnic particular anobstacle in building an effective intercultural communication. The study aims to determine thestereotypical view in cross-cultural communication in the Maduranese ethnic Chinese. To achieve thisgoal, this study uses descriptive qualitative research method with direct observation in the field as well asconducting interviews with respondents of the city of Surabaya native Chinese descent, determinedthrough purposive sampling which determines intentionally respondents using criteria established by theresearchers. The results showed that there is a stereotype in the Maduranese. Stigma Coarse own way,brave fight is still attached to the Maduranese. Abstract

This research is motivated by the growing climate in an organization and interpersonal relationshipsbetween members of an organization that is bound to happen because the real man is virtually impossibleto live without communicating. In an organization there are goals of the organization in which themembers of the organizational duties. Surely spada any organization that is therein AKN climate differentfrom the climate in other organizations. August 17, 1945 Surabaya University has six faculty that each -each have the Mahasiswa.Hal Executive Board encourages the writer to determine whether there was aneffect of organizational climate on the interpersonal relationships of its members. The influence willaffect not or achievement of the organization itself. The method used in this study is a survey method is amethod of research using a questionnaire as a data collection instrument. While this kind of research is aquantitative correlational research. This study uses a statistical formula product moment using dataprocessing SPSS 22 for windows conclusion that organizational climate (X) which includes indicatorsSense of Responsibility, Standard or expectations about quality, reward or reward, Sense of fraternityand team spirit is weak effect on interpersonal relationships (Y ) which includes indicators of thecharacteristics of individuals involved, the group properties, environmental properties Student ExecutiveBoard UNTAG Surabaya worth of 2.54 which means that the level of influence is weak.Keywords: effect, organizational climate, interpersonal relations.

Abstract

Hip-hop dance is a dance that is part of hip hop culture, developed by African American society thathas its own characteristics. This dance is growing and more popular among young people. This studyused descriptive qualitative method. With semiotic approach and to answer the problem what is themeaning of non-verbal communication in hip hop dance movement and how the message is delivered tothe audience from hip hop dance itself. The result of research shows that hip hop dance has non verbalcommunication meaning hip hop dance, hip hop dance, hip hop dance, and hip hop dance. hip hop isshown as an entertainment performing arts for the audience for all ages not just young people. Dance isdisplayed with the feel of young people in the form of happiness and freedom of expression. Traders are dealers who have climbed down distribution market share, this is what makes Indonesiahas very much at all merchants, one Indomaret and Alfamart, see the closeness of those who are sointense, the forms of communication that they use, is one way to maintain their existence. Starting fromPromo Price, Discount, marchendise, until the message across, Indomaret and Alfamart do. Seeing thisphenomenon the authors wanted to find out what forms of marketing communication used by Alfamartand Indomaret and what the impact of proximity between Indomaret and Alfamart.
