Abstract

The process of making palm oil fresh fruit bunches (FFB) into crude palm oil (CPO) goes through many processing sessions. The processing steps were tried at several stations, including reception stations, sorting stations, sterilizer stations, thresher stations, digester and press stations, and clarification stations. One very useful process lies in the sterilizer station. The quality of the resulting CPO, one of which depends on the boiling process at the sterilizer station. FFB boiling process at PT. Socfindo seunagan uses a triple peak system, with pressures near 2.5 to 3 bar. The boiling process is tried for 80 to 85 minutes. The processing time, which takes so long, will ripen the fruit to the bottom

Abstract

This research focuses on conveyor belts on coal feeder units 1-2 located in PT. PLN PLTU Nagan Raya. Belt conveyor is a tool used to move coal from coal feeder to boiler or kiln, belts from conveyor belts are made of various types of materials such as plastic, rubber, leather, metal or other materials depending on the type and nature of the material transported. The purpose of this study is to find out the root cause of the problem of conveyor belt damage in coal feeder units 1-2. The method used is the FTA (Fault Tree Analysis) method and provides a proposed improvement with the 5W + 1H method (what, why, who, when, where and how). Data collection methods are carried out in two ways, namely library studies and elevation directly into the field through interviews with the company's management. The results showed that the better the quality of coal used, the lower the number of damage that occurs on the conveyor belt.

Abstract

Kalimantan is an island surrounded by tropical rain forests and has hot and humid weather because it is crossed by the equator. The hot and humid weather affects the human working climate in the exchange of air in the room, for example in the laboratory. This study objective was to know the amount of air exchange per hour at the Samarinda Occupational Safety and Health Center. The tools used were the TESTO 425 anemometer, a digital meter, a thermohygrometer, a manometer, and a laptop. The chambers where air changes per hour measured were the main laboratory, weighing chamber, UV-VIS spectrophotometer chamber, and atomic absorption and chromatography spectrophotometer chamber. Based on the results of measurements and data analysis, it can be concluded that the ventilation system of 3 out of 4 laboratory chambers has met the recommendation.

Abstract

One of the works of art inherited by the ancestors of the Indonesian state, which is most in demand by the public is wayang art, which comes from folklore or fairytale. This concern for preserving the art of wayang, which is a characteristic of Javanese regional traditions, is an important factor in preserving the history of folklore, especially in Indonesia. However, preserving the wayang art culture is not easy, sometimes there are difficulties or obstacles in learning how to introduce the art of wayang to early childhood. In this new technological the use of art can be mediated or cast through interaction in the digital world. Inseparable from the concept of a system being developed at the time, one of the system concepts uses interaction technology for motion detection or motion sensors to detect.Microsoft introduced the Kinect sensor on gaming consoles in the Xbox retail package. Therefore, researchers use these sensors with the existence of these sensors and use the field of artistic graphic interaction to digitally manipulate 2D image forms.Creation of simulations in digital form using the C# programming language and several openCV (Open Source Computer Vision) tools. It is hoped that in the future this visualization can be used by parents to introduce their children to the art of wayang culture, so that children can learn about some of the characters in wayang art at an early age.

Abstract

Palm Oil Mill PT. Socfindo Kebun Seunagan is a factory engaged in the processing of palm oil, which is obtained in Crude Oil or called Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Kernel Oil. PT. Socfindo Kebun Seunagan has also experienced a conflict in the Sterilizer machine, which is a very important machine for processing Crude Oil. Stabilizer at PT. Socfindo Kebun Seunagan uses 3 horizontally shaped boiling units, each with a capacity of 7 lorries, each lorry containing two, five tons. A sterilizer means a pressure vessel used to cover palm oil, which uses steam as a heating medium that comes from a back pressure vessel that has a pressure of 2.0 bar and a temperature of 100 C. If the above requirements are not met, then the CPO production efficiency obtained may not be able to meet the specified specifications. therefore this analysis needs to be done so that we can understand or find out how to analyze heat transfer in the Sterilizer machine at PT. Socfindo Seunagan Gardens. This allows us to know the incoming energy, outgoing power, heat efficiency, losses, and changes in energy in transient conduction. The energy that comes out of each peak is Peak I as much as 48979,614 kJ, peak II at 79169,164 kJ and at Peak III as much as 81705,414 kJ. The highest heat efficiency is found in peak I of 0.846277. the lowest losses are at peak III as much as 51.765kJ.

Abstract

PT. Ujong Neubok Dalam (UND) is a company engaged in oil palm plantations and processing of Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Kernel Palm Oil (PKO). In carrying out its production, the company has various variations of machines that are used to facilitate the production process, one of which is a screw press machine. A screw press is a machine used to chop and crush palm fruit to produce palm oil and separate oil from shells, nuts, and fibers. Screw press machines in CPO production have a very important role because if the screw press machine experiences insufficient pressure, it will affect the quality and quantity of the CPO oil produced. The purpose of this study was to analyze the magnitude of the effect of screw press pressure on the process of pressing fruit flesh into CPO at PT UND. The method used is a quantitative method through the calculation of screw press force, screw press pressure, and hydraulic pressure. The result obtained is that the pressure given by the screw press machine is 18.32 Bar / Psi with a standard hydraulic pressure that functions as a holder, namely 50-60 Bar / Psi, while the comparison analysis is known that the screw press pressure and hydraulic pressure at 50 Bar / Psi have a ratio of 1: 2, 7 and at 60 BarPsi have a ratio of 1: 3.2

Abstract

Pasie Lembang village is located in South Kluet District, which has excellent natural potential and community. In this village there are tourist attractions that are very important to be developed, including the Pasie Lembang beach tourist attraction where there is turtle breeding around it, but the problem that often occurs in tourism management is the absence of the right concept in its development so that it causes it not to develop properly the tourist attractions in the village. The problem at this time is the absence of proper tourism planning in the management of tourist attractions in Pasie Lembang Village. The methodology used in this study is the SWOT analysis method. The results of his research are that the concept of tourism planning in Pasie Lembang Village uses the concept of ecotourism. This concept focuses on aspects of nature conservation, aspects of social and economic empowerment of local communities, as well as aspects of learning and education. In developing this concept, a SWOT analysis has been carried out which resulted in 7 (seven) strategies – the strategies obtained are applied in tourism development planning in Pasie Lembang Village. The conclusions of this study are: 1) Pasie Lembang Village is located in South Kluet District, which is in accordance with the mandate of the RTRW of South Aceh Regency that the Pasie Lembang area is in a natural and artificial tourism allotment area. 2) Pasie Lembang Village is very suitable for tourism development with the concept of ecotourism which focuses on nature conservation.

Abstract

Based on observations made at the nagan raya power plant. The problem found in the condenser is damaged or blockaged in the condenser pipe which can interfere with the condensate water production process and the water used is seawater as a coolant to condense steam and then become condensate water after hammering the cooling process. Damage that occurs in the dominating scope of work occurs in a leaky or clogged condenser pipe. In this study, it used the FMEA method to find out the highest RPN value and the highest value determines the critical level of a component. Furthermore, the use of the FTA method is to analyze the causes of failures that have the potential to cause damage to the machine or tool. Based on the 5w + 1h table is what (what is the repair strategy ), why (why should be repaired), who (who did), where (where is the place of damage), when (when the repair was made), how (how the repair was carried out).The conclusion of data processing on the FMEA method was found to be the highest RPN value in leakage or clogging of condenser pipes by 150 and the lowest value of the lowest RPN in life time of 8. Meanwhile, the FTA method that has the potential to experience damage or the root of condenser damage is that there is sand in the cooling water and ball cleaning work that is not optimal and then results in clogging of the condenser pipe or can cause leaks in the condenser pipe. The purpose of this study is to identify the damage that occurs to the condenser to keep the level of damage or failure of condenser production from continuing. The final results of this study are expected to present the level of risk of condenser stability with the causative factors of each component of the failure.

Abstract

PT. PLN (Persero) UPK Nagan Raya is a Steam Power Plant (PLTU) that uses coal as Boiler fuel to produce thermal energy. one of the initial stages of the Boiler is Startup as the basis for the start of Boiler operations. The purpose of this study is to analyze and avoid the risks that can make the operating system not run. Based on the research conducted, there are 8 risks that can cause failure. Based on the Grey FMEA method, the priority risk that occurs is that the FO fast shut-off cannot be O / C CCR with a value of 0.491 and also in the flexible joint line of the lower burner air there is a leak of 0.503. The result of the Root Cause Analysis method, the cause of the FO fast shut-off cannot be O / C CCR is the limited facilities and infrastructure for device maintenance which causes obstacles for workers so that the results worked on are not effective and efficient. Meanwhile, the risk that the flexible joint line air lower burner has a leak because it is not critical equipment only used at certain times so the check is neglected which makes the flexible joint leak. The solution that can be done is that as much as possible the operator must carry out routine maintenance/overhaul on the flexible joint so that there is no failure that can hinder the operation.

Abstract

The planning of electrical installation in a residential building needs to be carefully considered because of the variation of load usage, which will lead to the requirement of standard electrical installation. Improper installation will cause a failure in the protection system such as electrical shortage and a reduction in terms of the usage of electrical equipment. In this paper, a harmonic study is conducted on an electrical network that is caused by the non-linear load usage in two-story building with a size of 80 m2. The study is aimed to be one of standards of electrical installation by analyzing harmonic current and voltage as well as its impact to the protection system of residential building. A type of passive filters, that are high pass filter and double tuned filter are applied to dampen the harmonic. The simulation result shows that total harmonic disorder (THD) of non-filter electrical installation has a current harmonic value of 98% and voltage harmonic of 1,3%. On the other hand, there is a significant reduction of harmonic in the electrical installation with a passive filter installed of which the current harmonic value drops to 21%.
