Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the income and strategies in the development of seaweed cultivation.  This research was conducted in Pahawang Island, Punduh Pidada District, Pesawaran Regency.  This research used cencus method involving all of 20 seaweed cultivators.  The analysis method in this study were income determination and SWOT analysis.  The results showed that the cultivation of seaweed in Pahawang Island was worth to develope.  The average income of cash cost and total cost are Rp2,011,000 and Rp686,965 for each production process.  Combination value IFE was 1.6 and value of EFE was 0.4 in the IE matrix shows that the position of the business in quadran I.  This suggests that the cultivation of seaweed on Pahawang Island are at the area growth.  The three priority strategies for developing the seaweed cultivation were improvement of the cultivator training skills; extensification of cultivation area; and increase the production of  good quality seaweed  to expand the marketing network. Abstract

Rice for poor household (raskin) program is one of the Indonesian government program to improve food for poor household (RTM) and to provide protection of RTM. The purposes of this research were to: (1)determine the effectiveness of raskin program in the area of Lampung Province, (2) determine the efficiency level of raskin distribution starting from it had been distributed until received by RTM, (3) determine therelationship between the effectiveness and the efficiency of raskin distribution and the constrain of raskin program implementation. The research areas were chosen based on the consideration that had the greatest poverty in their districts. There were 30 RTM and 45 RTM drawn as research samples from 1.290 RTM in Kangkung village and 1981 RTM in Merak Batin Village. The research data was analyzed by analysismethod of qualitative (descriptive) and quantitative. The research result showed that the effectiveness of raskin in Kangkung Village earned an average of 83.3%, based on Standard Measures of EffectivenessBased Research Affairs References, categorized as very effective; whereas, in Merak Batin Village earned an average of 66.2%, categorized as quite effective. The marketing efficiency in Kangkung village was 0.04 andin Merak Batin Village was 0.03; this indicated that the distribution of raskin in Lampung Province was efficient because the calculation of the efficiency of Raskin marketing was below one. Constraints in theimplementation of the program were the low raskin honesty, communication and lack of human resources.Keywords: raskin program, effectiveness and efficiency of raskin distributuion, RTM

Abstract

The purpose of this research are to analyze of household income and the prosperity grade corn farmers in the District of South Lampung regency. This research was done in Muara Putih Village, Merak Batin Village, and Krawang Sari Villag of Natar district, South Lampung regency using stratified random sampling.  There were 51 corn farmers involved in this research. The result research showed that corn farmer household income as much as Rp23.791.838,24/years. The household income derived from farming and non farming of corn (on farm) was Rp20.566.348,04/years, income from nonfarm activites (off farm) was Rp707,647.06/years, and revenues from non-agriculture (nonfarm) was Rp2.517.843,14/years. Based on the BPS criteria, corn farmers household at Natar were categorized as prosperous as many as 70,59 percent and are not prosperous as many as 29,41 percent, while based on the Sajogjo criteria, corn farmers in Natar were categorized as sufficient 60,78 percent, almost poor 15,69 percent, and including decent life 23,53 percent. Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the income, consumption patterns of food and non-food, and (3) household welfare of torch fisherman in the City of Bandar Lampung. The number of samples was 43 people using cencus method. The method used was survey method by interviewing the samples using questionnaire. The data was extracted from the primary and secondary data. The results showed that the average income for a household was Rp30.187.572 per year. The household expenditures for food consumption were 60.09% of the household income, while the non-food consumption was 39,91%. Based on Sajogyo criteria (1997), 9,3% of the fisherman household were poor, 74,42% of them live moderately and the remaining 16,28% live well. Keywords: income, outcome, torch fisherman, welfare

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the Indonesian sugar trading position in international trade and level of Indonesia's dependence on imported sugar. The analysis method used in this research was analysis of Indonesian sugar trade positions using the Agricultural Specialization Index, and analysis dependence on sugar imports using the Import Dependency Ratio. The results showed that: (1) sugar of Indonesia has weak competitiveness because the value of Indonesian sugar trade specialization index was under one (<1). This indicated that Indonesia is a net importer of the sugar commodity, sugar that can be directly consumed or sugar is used as raw material for the food and beverage industry (2) Indonesian sugar import dependency rate that was calculated by Import Dependency Ratio indicated the extent of dependency on Indonesian imported sugar.Keywords: refined sugar, import dependence, white sugar
