Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze certified and non-certified coffee agribusiness value chains found in West Lampung District, analyze the efficiency of certified and non-certified coffee agribusiness value chains and, the formulation of coffee price in the certified and non-certified coffee agribusiness value chains in West Lampung District. The study is conducted in three sub-districts namely Air Hitam, Kebun Tebu and Sumber Jaya. Total respondents coffee farmers are 146 coffee farmers, consist of 85 certified coffee farmers and 61 non certified coffee farmers’ chosen by cluster random sampling method. Total respondents are 20 sellers; consist of 9 group sellers’ collector, 7 local sellers’ collector, 2 wholesalers and 2 exporters chosen by snowball sampling method. Research data was collected in November 2016 to January 2017 and analyzed by qualitative and quantitative analysis. The research result showed that there were three channels in the agribusiness value chain of certified coffee and two channels in the agribusiness value chain of non-certified coffee. Channel three in the agribusiness value chain of certified coffee and channel two in the agribusiness value chain of non-certified coffee have been efficient with formulation process of price certified and non-certified coffee in the agribusiness value chain of coffee in West Lampung, the buyer was a price setter and the seller was as a price taker.Key words: certified coffee, non-certified coffee, value chain

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profit of corn farming gained by members and nonmembers of farmer groups and relative economic efficiency of those members and non-members. This research was conducted in Natar District South Lampung Regency. The total of 76 farmers was used as samples including 36 members of corn farmer groups and 40 farmers nonmembers. It was analyzed through income analysis, and profit functions. The results showed that during farming seasons 1 and 2, the income of members of farmer groups was significantly higher than that of nonmembers. During farming seasons 1 and 2, members of farmer groups have a higher level of economic efficiency compared to nonmembers.Key words: corn farming income, farmer group members, relative economic efficiency

Abstract

This research aims to analyze coffee farming income in Tanggamus District, behavior of coffee farmers in managing environmental risk, and factors that influence behavior of coffee farmers in managing environmental risk. This research was conducted in Sinar Sekampung Village, Air Naningan Sub-District and Gunung Meraksa Village, Pulau Panggung Sub-District in August 2017. The sample in this study involved 44 certification coffee farmers chosen using cluster random sampling method and 24 noncertification coffee farmers chosen using census method. The difference of coffee farming income is analyzed using Independent Sample t-test, while the difference of behavior is analyzed using Mann Whitney Test and the factors is analyzed using binary logistic regression. The results showed that there was no difference in coffee farmers income between certification farmers and noncertification coffee farmers. Sixty-three percents of certification coffee farmers were risk takers and 87,50% of nonacertification coffee farmers were risk neutral. Factors that influence behavior of coffee farmers in managing environmental risk were land area, coffee farming income, and participation of farmers in 4C certification program.Key words: coffee certification, environmental risk, coffee farming income

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the consumer characteristics, consumer attitudes, the stages of decision making, and factors that influence vegetable buying at traditional market in Metro City. This study used a survey method. The research sample of 60 people was selected through accidental sampling. The research data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive, Multi-Attribute Fishbein, and Seemingly Unrelated Regression Analysis. The results showed that most of the consumers were Javanese aged 25-35 years old with the marital status of consumers who were wives whose household members were 3-4 people. Vegetable consumers were mostly housewives who graduated from high school and had income of below IDR3,000,000/month. The highest consumer attitude towards vegetables was given to spinach. The appetites for each type of vegetable influenced the amount they bought. In addition, the purchase of eggplant was influenced by its price, spinach, cassava leaves and eggs prices, and appetite towards spinach; of long beans was influenced by its price and tempeh price, number of household members, and appetite for spinach; of spinach was influenced by its price, long beans and tempeh prices, and household income; of water spinach was influenced by appetite for spinach; while of cassava leaves was influenced by its price and tempeh price, household income, and number of household members.Key words: appetite, attitude, buying, consumer behavior, vegetables.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyse the financially of feasibility and break even point of power plant. This is a case study at PT Gunung Madu Plantations, Lampung. Data collection was conducted in May 2017 and was analyzed by financially analysis and break even point analysis. The investment of power plant at PT Gunung Madu Plantations financially wass feasible, with NPV value of Rp1,437,425,146,844; Net B/C of 7.00; Gross B/C of 1.81, IRR of 34.84 percent, and payback periode of 1.75. Amount of revenue and electricity produced by PT Gunung Madu Plantations has reached break even point. The result of this analysis showed that the average of BEP revenue was Rp32,548,133,618 and BEP electricity production was 49,994,808 KWh.Key words: bagasse, break even point, financially

Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of PT ABC based on the Balanced Scorecard in Mesuji Regency. The research is a case study, conducted by using secondary data of PT ABC from 2015-2017 periods to analyze financial perspectives. For other perspectives were conducted through the calculation of the results of interview using a questionnaire. The population in this study are PT ABC customers and employees. While the samples are five companies for customer respondents, and 60 people for employee respondents. Data collection research was conducted in January 2019. The result of the research showed that the overall performance of PT ABC was in fairly good category. In a financial perspective, variables of return on investment and total assets turnover have shown good performance. For the customer perspective, it showed good performance by looking at variables of customer satisfaction and customer retention. In the perspective of internal business processes, it showed that conditions were still worse as the operating profit margin has decreased and the index "K" obtained exceeded the tolerance threshold. For the perspective of learning and growth, it showed in fairly well condition by looking at employee satisfaction scores and employee retention.Key words: balanced scorecard, financial, performance

Abstract

This research aims to find out: farmers' perception on Rainforest Alliance (RFA) coffee certification program, Factors related to the perception,income of farmers joining the program, andorrelation between the perception and coffee farming income. This research was conducted in TanjungRejo Village, PulauPanggung Subdistrict, Tanggamus District in August-September 2017. The selection of the location was determined purposively considering that the area has the highest number of farmers who join RFA certification. The respondents were 64 coffee farmers who have RFA Coffee certificate. The method used is a survey method. Data are analyzed descriptively and using rank Spearman correlation. Results indicated that: perception of coffee farmers on RFA certification program is included in the high classification. Factors significantly correlated to coffee farmers' perception on the RFA certification program are farmers’ knowledge and social interaction. Coffee farming income in 2017 was Rp19,908,000.00 per hectare per year, decreased from Rp21,092,375.00 per hectare per year in 2016. The decline is due to bad weather and pest/disease outbreak.Key words: coffee farmers, farm income, perception, RFA

Abstract

This research aimes to analyze the structure of rice farming cost, Break Event Point (BEP) of income, production and price, in addition to income level of farming rice. The research isconducted by survay method with the numbers of respondent as many as 52 farmers who are selected by simple random sampling. The research location is choosen intentionally in Seputih Raman, Lampung Tengah Regency. Research data was collected in Januari-Februari 2018 and analyzed by descriptive and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the biggest cost component of the production cost structure was harvest costs, labor outside of the family costs, fertilizer costs, and tractor fees. The value of revenue BEP was Rp5,291,805.05/ha, production BEP 1,012.76 kg/ha, and price BEP Rp1,846.84/ha. Total income from rice farming was equal to Rp21,357,297.13/ha and R/C ratio was 2.83 so that the rice farming was profitable and feasible.Key words: BEP, cost structure, income, rice farming
